Look closely at 3:58 it looks like he doesn’t have a tuning slide maybe that’s why every single note sounds out of tune
Nathan Gomez what in the hell are u talking about
Wayne and Eric were definetly the stand outs in this piece, such awesomeness. they were truely worthy of their spots there :)
What the fuck Patrick
I was very lucky to have seen Maynard Ferguson & his band perform several times at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle when I was in high school. I remember the trombone players hitting notes usually reserved for trumpets. All the musicians were outstanding and front and center was the man himself-larger than life in his playing and showmanship. You simply cannot see bands at this level any where now. Buddy Rich & his Killer Force was also a great show!! His hands were simply a blur!!
Wayne blew his line so he went in the studio to fix it thus his fingers dont match the phrase
Or you just realized that when you go up that high the valves really matter anymore
Jon Allen yeah after you start hitting that double G you're really just doing controlled squealing, I only use valves at that point to get a bearing on what note I should be playing lol
This was Maynard' s memorial service and most of the guys were very emotional. What a touching tribute to My hero!
MAYNARD WAS THE BEST TRUMPET PLAYER THAT WALKED THE EARTH HOPEFULLY SOME DAY I CAN BE AS GOOD
4:12 that guy pisses me off, all he is doing is squealing his trumpet instead of doing a solo, what a show off...
wow. so many trumpets!
Hello 👋 Marissa🌸
How are you doing today??
VERY NICE!! Great to see trumpet players paying tribute to a true legend!!
St. Louis Tribute concert... i was there and i got to see Lew Soloff (dream come true). Fortunately i was able to see Maynard play a few months before he passed... He barely lost a step. I also got to meet Eric Miyashiro, which was really cool.
Great sax solo
it takes a beast and a very talented man with a lot of courage to get on that stage with a the world's greatest trumpet players with a tenor sax
OMFG...searching for words....as a trumpet player it makes me shiver!!!
WOHOOO!
Amazing! I used to play the trumpet, and was super tense just on high Cs. These guys play tones that don't even exist! I guess thats why I quit playing, and they didn't.
chi vi ha messo insieme, siete il top!!!!
What amazes me is how clean Eric and Wayne are in the upper register. That is amazingly hard. Can't stop listening to this video.
people dont take into acount that without music life is boring and tasteless. its very things like this song that people hear and go "Oh! thats the Rocky theme!" i wish more people realized that music like jazz and classical have an impact on all our lives.
2:40 is so awesome
