The thing about Civil War is that Thing and Wolverine are the only ones actually doing the smart thing and realizing that there's a fight that the heroes _should_ be fighting instead of each other and are really the only ones to make it out as the better people. Ben just straight-up leaves and Logan goes after the ones actually responsible.
I always respected the heroes who simply decided to take no smoke in that war My man Doctor Strange literally just went to the moon to meditate with the watcher while all this was going on
Moon Knight was another one. Even though no one respected him at this time, he thought the war was BS as criminals haven’t stopped during it. Nova is another one that even though he didn’t know about civil war, he was pissed off when he found out about it. He yelled at Ironman because he was dealing with universe ending threat, and earth’s heroes had no idea as they were too busy fighting each other.
Wolverine is one of the few characters in comics that just unabashedly says " absolutely fuck no we're not going to try and redeem this guy" And mean it with complete sincerity and have the power to stop anyone from stopping him from making sure of that thing.

But now producers and studios are realizing that today's landscape of entertainment allows concepts to be in a series format rather than trying to cram everything possible into a 90-120 screentime movie. Hell, some MCU episodes run either 60-75 minutes, depending on the episode/chapter. And as far as crossovers, they can look to Star Trek and Star Wars for pretty much re-writing the book on crossovers and keeping it canon enough to appease the terminally-online die-hards.

It's not an insurance company it's a superhero clean-up company. Damage Control is the only Marvel company that cleans up after superhero and super villain fights and that's why after every major story New York seems to be rebuilt fast
No the Stamford incident wasn't a planned thing they had been supplying Nitro with the MGH but it wasn't to cause a Stamford incident it was to cause more issues and destruction (smaller scale things) it was the intervention of the New Warriors that caused Nitro to go nuclear damage control then tried to clean up their own mess

Ima say it again, this storyline was one of the best storylines in comic book history. The ramifications of Civil War still rings bells to this day. Damage Control manipulating things behind the scenes was a crazy discovery. I want the MCU to bring in these large corporations to their movies, and show them manipulating events behind the scenes.

It also led to my favorite moment in all of comics, as who orchestrated all of this? Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic. He had calculated that the world would end umless he set off something now to release some tension. So he arranged a civil war. It's why i consider Reed maybe the scariest guy in all of Marvel: he will arrange the murder of an entire preschool and set off a hero war because he knows that he's saving the world, you're just not smart enough to understand how he came to that conclusion. No one is. It's like having Thanos as one of your core heros.

The whole process of different artists handling coloring and linework leads to stuff like that weird neck being given gorgeous shading. Never ceases to amaze me.
Given how many big battles, and even small ones, that happen why would Damage Control even need to do this? Plus, this led to more hero regulations, with the goal of Preventing what happened. Seems a bit unnecessary.
