Just because wolverine have no choice in his healing factor isn't. The thing about wolverine that would make him an Alpha instead of beta is the fact that even beaten he isn't dead. The countless times he can come back will have even the most powerful omega level worried. If wolverine really wants something dead it might happen. If wolverine decided to be stealthy it's over. Professor x is omega really. Might not be the ultimate telepathic but has multiple abilities within that along with telekinetic abilities.
Professor X was the ultimate Omega level mutant they quietly depowered him because he could at peak and was evil take over the minds of the entire earth at once. He could just make everyone friends.
Ya Professor X was a omega level mutant, but they changed it made him an alpha and said that telepaths have an entire different classifications. I think they should just make Professor X and Emma Frost Omega level mutants
only 25 living omegas as if 2024 but at most there has only ever been 35 known omegas in the entire 616 universe at one time out of 200+ mutant characters
also one of my favorite little quirks is that mutant classifications was not a thing for the most part. It was not until long after when a writer just did a quick little thing and it evolved. I also need to note that Emma Frost is in the middle ground of alpha and omega. She has been classified as both at times.
Levels have absolutely nothing to do with looks or ability to control your powers, Scott Summers could not control his power until he reached Omaga level, he needed ruby-blocking visor or shades to hold it back. Levels only relate to the mutant's abilities. Leach as an Beta level can block other mutants abilities within a small distance as an area effect, but at Omega level he can block them from miles away and select which mutants to block.
Is Domino really still classed as Delta even though she has been shown to have at least some control over her powers (caused lightning to hit 2 sentinels) as well as it being shown that her powers transcend time-space (chance meteor collision millions of years ago caused a Cable clone to be killed in order to save her)?
And the copy the AI is reading is apparently from an X-Men fan page from 8 years ago, which is why all the information is out of date. I would unsub if I was you.
I love how technically wolverines healing factor is omega level, but because its not really a dangerous power, he isnt considered an omega level mutant
thats not how that works. This guy dosen't define omega correctly, Omegas don't have to be destructive there are non combat based Omegas. That being said the reason wolverine isn't omega is because it dosen't fit the defintion "A mutant whose dominant power is deemed to register - or reach - an undefinable upper limit of that power's specific classification," He has very visable and surpassable limits. Also there is a omega level regeneration mutant his name is Lychon
I've always thought that Gambit was an Alpha level mutant, not Beta, but if the distinction here is a small physical characteristic like black eyes rather than power, I guess that is plausible. On the other hand, you've classified Cyclops as Alpha because before the plane accident he was naturally able to control his optic blasts. By that standard, then technically a natural, unaltered Gambit is Omega level, as his un-nerfed self New Sun could control energy and matter at the atomic level, didn't require physical contact to activate, and could even travel across time, space, and dimensions.
Power scaling mutants doesn’t make sense. Their powers are more qualitative than quantitative. Power scaling makes sense when a power is quantified such as the intensity of energy beams you can shoot or the amount of weight you can lift. Qualitative powers like teleportation or wall crawling are not as easily scaled and provide additional functionality more than greater intensity of function.
I believe the scaling is based on their ability to wipe people out. Wolverine is cool, but unlikely to be able to kill the whole planet compared to Magneto etc
@@QuotidianStupidity It's not entirely based on ability to be planetary. You can be Omega and not have a destructive power. Example being Omega precogs like Idyl
It seems he is scaling based on power and appearance which is not fair because there are powerful mutants that cannot pass for human. A more accurate scaling would be for Wolverine and Colossus to be gamma, Cyclops to be beta, Havok to be alpha ( because Alex has more control and can do more things), Magik and Blink as Alpha Level teleporters. I would also argue that Manifold should be considered an omega level teleporter but I digress

Moat of the things you said, i swear, sounds like this: They hate fire. Because it was burning. He wanted to go ahead because he didnt want to go back...
Fun fact, Santa Claus - yes there is a Santa Claus in Marvel - is an Omega level mutant. Scarlet Witch also actually surpassed Omega level to Cosmic level, the Omega level mutants are classified Omega because their powers can destroy the Earth, Scarlet Witch has the abilities to wipe out the Galaxy.
Also gambit is omega level however he nurfed himself with the help of mr. sinister after seeing an alternate version of himself as a villain with being able to control 100% of his mutant ability and it scared him.
Probably shouldn't make Marvel videos if you don't know the lore. Domino's luck effects everyone around her in a negative way 🤦 even in the movie when everyone died. Needless to say it affects everyone around her
Two things: A) Magneto was right. B) “Remy LeBeau would be the first to remind you that life, like the cards, is wild. Yet he moved through his life as a force who believed better times lay ahead, that luck always won. Per his kinetic gifts, Gambit had endless faith in potential. Yet he seemed so blind to his, haunted by the life of bayou crime into which he was born. A sinner beyond saving. “Such were the cards,” he’d say. I think he was bluffing. How could Remy, so tuned to potential, fail to see how his sins had made him into a hero? Every gambler has a tell. Modesty was Gambit’s.”
No. Jean with phoenix could be on the beyond omega level but without it no. Scarlet Witch is not even omega level. Her massive power comes from sorcery instead of mutant powers.
Something worth noting is that mutants with multiple power can be 2 ranks at once. For example, Jean Grey is an omega level telepath but she's only an alpha level telekinetic. But mutants with multiple powers at multiple levels are classified by the highest level. So jean is classified as omega. There are telekinetics that are a lot more powerful than her in regards to telekinesis only. Weather they can beat her when factoring her telepathy is a different story
Same with storm changing the molecules around you anyway you like Is also extremely broken it's border line reality altering but I think back then they wanted to have strong alpha level mutants so they left those two as alphas which on paper makes no sense given what they can do
i like this video breakdown of x men and their levels of abiity and the instrumental played makes this video even more beautifull , sounds like art brow 😎😎.
They are not, and never have been classed as Omega level mutants. They were temporarily considered Omega Class Telepaths, a designation that spoke to their immense skill and threat. It is not synonymous with Omega level mutant.
@tyleredwards9799 my correction, Emma Frost and Professor X have been called "Omega level telepaths." It is not the same as omega level mutant. They are alpha mutants. The term omega in their case means that they are telepaths of the highest order, with the most psychic power.
One episode where Thanos got super strong and hunted and destroyed everyone, made Hulk his play toy all to impress the goddess of death or destruction. Then the last survivor who was in training for decades and was able to hide from Thanos came back to kill him. It was the Surfer...he got super strong and would have defeated Thanos except a 2nd Thanos from another time helped tag team with himself to beat the Surfer. Surfer became super strong.

Prof X is an Omega level telepath, while Jean Grey is an Omega level telekinetic. They both have both powers, but Charles is only a beta telekinetic and Jean is an alpha telepath.
While Charles and Emma aren’t considered by most to be omega Level telepaths. Their powers are peerless. Making them omega level. And Storm isn’t just omega level. She’s quickly moving to Beyond Omega level. Like Franklin Richards.
You got it backwards, charles and emma aren't considered omega level mutants, but ARE considered omega level telepaths. They're in the highest class of telepaths but as mutations go, overall they are not classified with the omega status
@@aquatictwist that’s what I was kind of saying. Yes, they are omega level telepaths. Charles is able to reach across the universe to talk to La-landra ( I know I spelt that wrong) and we’ve seen Emma so amazing things with her telepathy.
No. 1) That is not how the classification works. Omega is the only one that speaks to power (in the canon prime universe). The others speak to how well the individual can integrate into common society, specifically as it relates to how much the power impedes their day to day life. Note that most of the list is not canon, but instead just fans attempting to classify mutants past Omega and Alpha. Beta has only been used a couple times, gamma even less so. 2) Jean was noted from an early age to be an Omega level mutant. Charles put mental blocks on her powers so they wouldn't overwhelm her. The Phoenix was initially attracted to Jean because of the power she wielded, and the circumstances of its awakening (her preventing the mind of her friend from dying), it again was attracted to her when she called out to the cosmos whilst struggling to shield the shuttle from the radiation, with Death later saying that the Phoenix and her are drawn to eachother because they are cut of the same cloth. The Phoenix itself has also pondered Jean to be a spark of itself that drifted away eons ago, and eventually incarnated in mortal form.
0:16 - Summers' family, and Rasputin beg to differ; All three Summers brothers have some form of Energy manipulation (from the same dimension - through different sources of expression) and Collosus' Son and grandon have his powers. They're not always that varied... There's also the fact that all versions of Cable (who is the son of Madelyn Prior and Scott) have Telekinesis like their mom. There's a variant of Emma Frost and Scott's child who has her mom's powers. There's two kids from Rogue and Gambit in comics who have their parents' abilities. Hell Nightcrawler has an elseworlds daugther with Wanda who looks just like him. Magneto has Polaris (similar ability, different level/different expression) There's a variant of Storm's daughter who has not only her most noted powers, but very likely some variant of Wolverine's (if we count the Lupine race thing that was floated around a few years back - which made all feral mutants a seperate species of their own) * Enhanced intelligence - You ever heard of a tactician? Not true offensive threats. Maybe you should work on your definition of "threat." You think Tony Stark or Reed Richards are as respected as they are because they're not threats on the battlefield? You could argue the value is easily underestimated; and that's still a point in their favor. Also should be noted the original three I was aware of are Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Every other classification was added in later. (Wolverine DOES NOT NEED to control his healing factor - if he could; it would make him Omega and effectively Immortal based on everything he's been through: The power is ALWAYS active and thus does not require "control" THAT is the main difference between the Gammas - originally stated in classification as I mentioned in my comment in your other video, I just forgot the exact classification - and Betas. A Gamma does NOT have full control of their power. Hence why some positions were always arguable. Rogue for example has powers that put her far above Gamma; but she never until recently had control of them. Scott has an aquired brain injury, so despite his power in itself being Alpha level, he is technically correctly counted as Gamma)

Namor has Flight, super human strength. He’s definitely alpha level
Great video
but you need to check your ratings because at least have of them are Omega level since The Hellfire Gala on Krakoa
only 25 living omegas as if 2024 but at most there has only ever been 35 known omegas in the entire 616 universe at one time out of 200+ mutant characters
Bobby power is consider Omega level.. man my boy can freeze anyone to death if he willing too
also one of my favorite little quirks is that mutant classifications was not a thing for the most part. It was not until long after when a writer just did a quick little thing and it evolved. I also need to note that Emma Frost is in the middle ground of alpha and omega. She has been classified as both at times.
Nice mutants man
This classification system has changed so much over the years.
Wow, I just thought it was a power level thing. This is a much more interesting mutant classification system.
Bro Gambit is an Alpha Level mutant
And Cyclops is Omega
This video is so interesting. I've loved the X-Men series since I was a kid and this video makes em 10x more cooler now that I know bout the levels
Is Domino really still classed as Delta even though she has been shown to have at least some control over her powers (caused lightning to hit 2 sentinels) as well as it being shown that her powers transcend time-space (chance meteor collision millions of years ago caused a Cable clone to be killed in order to save her)?
Gambit is Alpha level and actually Omega and Beyond Omega level but he has Mr Sinister limit his potential
Good video but should check some of your facts because slot of stuff changed in recent comics.
Really like the channel and subscribed. But, you've got to work on some of the pronunciations; it's "MAG-NEE-TO" not "MAG-NET-O",
Hey nerd! It's Mag nee tow!
Um ackshuwally...😂
It's AI. It's just reading the copy.
Wolverine is cool, but unlikely to be able to kill the whole planet compared to Magneto etc
also power scalling doesnt work here because he dosent understand what Omega means and its not even power based
@@QuotidianStupidity It's not entirely based on ability to be planetary.
What do you think Makes aBetter Power hierarchy for Mutants?
Gambit being a beta level mutant is ridiculous. This guy clearly didn’t do his research. Gambit is omega level by far
Talks about omega mutants: Doesn't talk about Iceman, just shows a couple shots.
great video and very informative, as im watching it though when u say Domino's name then dont show her picture, i feel that was a missed opportunity. thank you and have a good day!
Some of the examples aren’t right but I really like the classifications and the reasoning behind them. Fun video 😊
Fun fact Gambit can be an omega level mutant, but chose to restrict his powers to some extent through surgery because he saw himself going rampage and causing destruction.
Moat of the things you said, i swear, sounds like this:
They hate fire. Because it was burning.
He wanted to go ahead because he didnt want to go back...
when you were talking about Domino you used only images of Forge
Fun fact, Santa Claus - yes there is a Santa Claus in Marvel - is an Omega level mutant. Scarlet Witch also actually surpassed Omega level to Cosmic level, the Omega level mutants are classified Omega because their powers can destroy the Earth, Scarlet Witch has the abilities to wipe out the Galaxy.
Lol, I love that when talking about Domino, your video editor just shows all forge pictures.
Are we not going to talk about Beyond Omega Mutants, the mutants who are a universal threat? Franklin Richard is a Beyond Omega Mutant.
Gambit would actually fit in nowadays with people tattooing their eyes and stuff 😂
Marvel has actually classified mutants. You seem to either not be aware of that or just completely ignored it.
How about the different sub-species of immortal mutants, like the Externals, Exodus, Romulus and Remus, Azazel and the Neyaphem?
Forge is a massive threat with major offensive powers
Forge can make anything. That makes him quite dangerous.
Forge just recently jumped all the way up to Omega as well.
Beta? I'd think Logan would say, "Say that to my face, Bub." 😕🤣
Needless to say it affects everyone around her
Me personally i believe that Gambit has the most potential to become an omega level mutant, but his alpha level ranking is perfectly fine.
Oh you gotta give em that HAWK TUAAH
Two things:
A) Magneto was right.
How could Remy, so tuned to potential,
fail to see how his sins had made him into a hero?
Every gambler has a tell.
Modesty was Gambit’s.”
One of these days the AI will be able to say Magneto.
the lofi One Piece music was a bit unnerving for some reason... otherwise, great explanation

03:35 "They cannot camouflage themselves or hide"
Magnetto I think I had one of their ice creams once
i think scarlet witch and jean grey are on another level, they are very overpowered
How was Magneto ever not an Omega. Controlling magnetism is op af
Same with storm changing the molecules around you anyway you like Is also extremely broken it's border line reality altering but I think back then they wanted to have strong alpha level mutants so they left those two as alphas which on paper makes no sense given what they can do
Both magneto and Storm are omega
He is
I never knew domino looked like forge
Ugh, that was annoying. Shitty editing skills on display.
i like this video breakdown of x men and their levels of abiity and the instrumental played makes this video even more beautifull , sounds like art brow 😎😎.
Emma Frost and Professor X are Omega Level...
This man said Magneto 2 different ways and its really rubbing me the wrong way
Talks about Domino, shows Forge lol
Sigma level: Patrick Bateman
Cyclops went to Omega level when he took Banshee syrum.
Epsilon characters such as skin, eye-boy, wild child, are all epsilons with usable powers.
It's funny how the writers never mad a character say mutants are human because they was born from two human non mutant parents
0:49 I wonder what you mean by that
0:52 oooohhhhh thanks for clearing that up
Omega is when they could create their own element. Like Iceman ?
An omega level is a mutant with no foreseeable upper limits to their dominant power. Some control elements/natural forces (Iceman, Storm, Magneto). But most don't...at least not directly.
@@greenguy369 thx u lol I always been curious about mutants classes. My favorite always been Iceman and Colossus. I like characters that can make like body armor.
@@Gregory-pi3oc You'll love Emma frost then
@@5pydieman she fire I like her abilities. Whos ur favorite
@@Gregory-pi3oc My favorite Superhero is Spiderman (Peter)
My favorite Mutant is Nightcrawler, although I just learned about Sync and he's becoming another favorite or mine
So since Wolverine is meant to be a Beta level mutant, if he didn't have the Adamantium which hindered his mutation, would he have been in the Gamma level? I'm aware that he would have eventually become like Sabretooth, turning more animalistic but since he now has the Adamantium, it essentially just stopped it
The adamantium just affects his healing, it has no effect on his berserker outbursts.
Sidenote, Sabertooth wasn't always a mutant. He was originally just a costumed mercenary that was an Iron Fist villain.
the moment apocalypse meet storm he tuned her into an omega mutant for ever, the same with wolverine, pyro and iceman, storm has been omega since she was a kid, in the movie they meet when she was a teenager, in the comics she was a luttle girl with about 9 yeads when he visited her in the orphanage.
Prof X is an Omega level telepath, while Jean Grey is an Omega level telekinetic. They both have both powers, but Charles is only a beta telekinetic and Jean is an alpha telepath.
Cyclops needs a step down to beta because he can’t exactly turn off the eye beams unless he’s wearing ruby lenses
No
While Charles and Emma aren’t considered by most to be omega Level telepaths. Their powers are peerless. Making them omega level. And Storm isn’t just omega level. She’s quickly moving to Beyond Omega level. Like Franklin Richards.
Beyond omega doesn't exist anymore just omega, as jonathan hickman story power of X or house of X. That all changed.
If you watch the video you see that Storm is pictured with the omega level mutants. The narration is so correct.
Jean Grey was Beta/Gamma until the Phoenix inhabit her body which is beyond Omega level.
Magneto has Polaris (similar ability, different level/different expression) There's a variant of Storm's daughter who has not only her most noted powers, but very likely some variant of Wolverine's (if we count the Lupine race thing that was floated around a few years back - which made all feral mutants a seperate species of their own)
* Enhanced intelligence - You ever heard of a tactician?
Storm and the Submariner are Omega Level
Im pretty sure Mystique was confirmed as an alpha level in Xmen blue origins.
Gambit is one of the strongest alpha mutants.and actually is an omega but asked sinister to do surgery cuz he was afraid of his full potential
So are we placing The Thing in Epsilon or Gamma? 😂 let’s take a vote
