See i always thought people like spiderman, hulk, and deadpool were ordinary humans who were mutated. Hence, the name "mutates" rather than "mutant" since they werent born with their abilities. Even the fantastic 4 would fall under this category.
Did you watch the video? He goes over this….what about others BORN with abilities? Is Thor a mutant? No…he also mentioned the inhumans.
I've always thought the same thin; they're x-gene negative but the gene is artificially activated and they get superpowers. And that's why their kids are usually mutants.

Wolverine being considered Beta level is super disappointing. The man has the second best healing factor behind Hulk. His healing factor alone allows him to go toe to toe with and kill Omega level mutants. Logan also has secondary mutations that also beg for him to be ranked high. His mental processing is on par with the super computers, enhanced strength and speed, massively boosted sense, etc etc etc.
Actually sounds about right to me because people forget due to his Adamantium he'd be DEAD without his Healing Factor & why he's TRULY at his bezt WITHOUT Adamantium! Also many just can't see him operating in ANY normal capacity because his Adamantium weighs 600 pounds so how the f__k can he even move around Healing Factor or not? In the mid to late 90s they made it a point to show that Sabretooth with Adamantium ENHANCES his Healing Factor CLEARLY making him #2 behind HULK as Da Runt had countless draws or barely winning against him to then being absolutely decimated if he doesn't run away or have help! Speaking of which there's a lot more Mutants & other Characters with Healing Factors just that most well known's HULK, Da Runt, Creed, Bishop, THOR, Hercules, Gladiator, Blue Marvel, Sentry & Beast I think!
The clarification is not about who would win in a fight. Who could destroy the world, storm or wolverine?
Beta level isn't really stating a power level. Power wise they are often equal to alpha mutants
It makes sense actually. People like Magneto and Storm could do massive amount of carnage that could be instant and world ending while Wolverine despite all his abilities could still be knocked out, hand to hand by people like Spiderman.

Gambit was upgraded to omega level recently.
Cyclops powers are underrated because his beams come from a different dimension and not planet level like the omega level mutants.
He's not Omega-level for one reason: while his primary ability (channeling kinetic energy from the Crimson Cosmos of Cyttorak) does not have an upper limit, his secondary ability (generating a psionic field that protects his body from that kinetic energy so he doesn't blow his head clean off) does have an upper limit. He's uncorked some Omega-level power stunts (reigniting the Rings of Polemachus, which are what that extradimensional world derived heat and light from, as it had no Sun) and shattering the right hand of the Celestial called Arishem the Judge, for example), but he required an external power source to boost his self-protecting field to allow him to do it (in the first instance, Storm feeding him electrical energy, in the second, Jean Grey temporarily granting him a fragment of the Phoenix Force).
If he was fully Omega-level, he could basically destroy anything he could fix his gaze on, at will.
There is also "Beyond Omega Level" mutants and they are the strongest of all mutants. A couple examples of these are Franklin Richards, Gabriel Summers and Nathaniel Grey.

Omega is the Greek word for "last."
I remember when epsilon rank was referred to as Gamma level. Mutants like Nightcrawler, Blink, or Toad prevent them looking like normal humans. Gamma level.
5:00 - False! It was stated by Reed Richards, with regards to Andrew Maguire, that Alpha just means that their power will never stop growing. A few mutants are both Alpha & Omega & most Alphas are also Omega. Ex.: Frank Richards, Jean, Legion, Prof. X, Storm, Magneto, Iceman & Cable
He does mention that Alphas can evolve into Omegas over time. He cites Iceman as a specific example (Quentin Quire and Jean Grey would also be salient examples).
@@woodrobin It has been stated that the previous examples are both simultaneously, not one then the other. Reed even stated that Alpha was stronger.

Omega mutants: Demigods, very difficult to kill and capable of massive destruction.
Alpha mutants: bearer of dangerous weapons, but still easier to kill.
Beta mutants: less dangerous and easier to kill or neutralize, still capable.
Epsilon mutants: freaks but largely harmless, not much from an ordinary human.
Marvel needs to invest more in the X Men . all X Men films been fire & it’s the most consistently good franchise even including all the old movies . i couldn’t name a “ bad “ X Men film . look at Deadpool 👀🤷🏽♂️ it been going crazy & it’ll keep going up for a while
Wallflower is definitely beta or closer to alpha level. She can control people via pheromones which is hard to defend against.
Two questions about this:
1. What category do characters like Destiny and Blindfold fall into? Their powers are in no way combat oriented, but they're extremely powerful.
2. I read somewhere that marvel also has (or at least mentions at some point) a psychic categorization system. Has anyone found anything about this?
Any mutant capable of manipulating or controlling reality should be Omega classed.
And they are without question! Obviously this Channel didn't do any research before making this video! I stopped watching 5 minutes in because they started out lying saying there was only 12 Omegas!😨😮😒😠😔

@@gabnel1000 Well to be fair, a lot of people now a days interpret "reality warping" as matter manipulation/creation.
Reality is the perception of existence. It's the "knowing of things" portion of existence. It's not the physical matter. Simply controlling matter is not manipulating reality.
The Joker taking Mr. Mxyzptlk's power and changing reality so that "2 + 2 = fish" is manipulating reality. That equation became the new reality and isn't questioned because that's reality. It was just a common thing. It was the perception of existence changing. "1+1=2, 2+2=fish, 3+3=6." It was just a known fact. That's reality warping.
Moving matter around isn't manipulating the perception of existence. It's just.. moving matter around. The two are not synonymous, and I wish people would stop saying they are.
Google defines "reality" as;
"the state or quality of having existence or substance."
"the world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them."
Ie. The perception of existence. It has nothing to do with physical matter. Reality warping means "changing the common place". Changing the notion of something that's known into something else and making that the common existence of that notion.
Simply creating, altering or manipulating matter is not manipulating or altering reality. It's just matter manipulation.

I have always thought the Angel and demon mutants were mutants at all but from the spiritual realm. The Lipin category is a very interesting concept. Mutants not werewolves. The mutants that can control earthly elements are omega on earth but not through out the universe. I wonder why they came up with mutants with no abilities?
I feel like Drew Hayes did a great explanation of power levels insomuch as he said in his books, what amount of devestation could a single super human cause in an hour.
As of 2023, Nightcrawler's parents were actually Mystique (father) and her wife Destiny/Irene Adler (mother). So some of this might not be correct in the current continuity.
Logan may be a Beta level mutant but he's the most Alpha-Sigma character of all time.

you seem to lack info on the rogue subject. she did not learn to control her powers at any point. she got upgraded in status because she absorbed captain marvels abilities, memories and personality leaving captain marvel in a coma for years. her only actual ability is the absorption thing that she cannot control.
Rogue killed Carol Danvers and absorbed her powers. Then she had to learn to use her powers and cope with the part of carol's personality that would from that point be inside her psyche. That's not "finding her mojo".
I always have to wonder, how the hell is Cyclops an Alpha level? He projects beams from his eyes, which is completely uncontrolled without his visor. He has NO control over his own powers. He should be only a Beta level.

I dont like the fact that Mayday Parker isnt considered a mutant, even though she was born with her spider powers. Just because Spiderman wasnt a real mutant. They consider her genes to be artificially activated. Thats so weird.

You just named Beast in two different categories.
Also, any human who developed powers from artificial sources, excluding inhumans, are called mutates. Cap, Spidey, Hulk, Electro and Daredevil are examples of this. To include any mutates in a list of mutants is invalid; the X gene is what is required to be a mutant and mutates dont have it.
And lupines was revealed to be bullshit and not true in the slightest. Including it on this list is silly.
What about hybrid mutants. Mutants that are half human half supernatural being or any half blooded beings? Say like Namor the sub mariner, Meggan, Pixie, or even Thanos for that matter

Neither Hulk or Dead Pool are mutants though. They're mutates. Their powers aren't natural and were artificially activated within them. Therefore Wolverine beats them out on a scale of mutants, since the other two simply aren't mutants.

This is my list of most powerful mutants. This list is based on what I believe to be the most powerful omega mutants. This list is undisputed. Some might be surprised to see certain characters on here as opposed to others (no apocalypse) but these characters are the absolute elite, crème de la creme, Apex predators of mutant kind. I don’t care for canonical stats and feats or what’s been retconned. I’m simply emphasising the conceptual and metaphysical aspects of their abilities. Omega level is anyone who has a capablitlity of ending the world.
That was the old classification. Someone who could kill everyone on the planet, or alter or destroy an eco system beyond repair. Like how Storm and Iceman can create ice ages irreparably changing the eco system.
I think now a days it's something like "They're the best at whatever their power set is." So Charles and Emma Frost can't be Omegas because Jean is a better Telepath. Ect..

Supposedly, according to Marvel, every human on Earth, not counting offshoots of humanity, created by alien being such as Inhumans, Eternals and Deviants, are carriers of the mutant gene. Introduced into the human genome by the Celestials hundreds of thousands of years ago when they came to Earth and experimented on early hominids, turning them into humans, Eternals and Deviants. (Forget that abominable MCU movie that turned them into robots)
This is why the Sentinals turned against humans during the Days of Future Past storyline, because even normal humans can breed mutants
It's my understanding (I could be wrong) that any pair of humans have the potential to produce offspring with the x-gene, hence all mutants are human. I'm only referring to earthborn homo-sapiens in this case. I think it was an X-Factor comic from the 90s that included a story line that involved a prenatal test to indicate if the baby would be born with the x-gene. It only had about a 60% accuracy rate though.
