A Train is way better than the psycho he was in the comics. Even though he still is a total sellout. Deep on the other hand was a almost normal person for the comic, and he was kinda smart too. In the show he is almost the worst in every way.

Show A-Train has much less personality ngl, The Deep was a comic relief but comic A-Train was hateable af, I prefer him as an antagonist

@@Mikey-ct3qf there's a really good chance cuz as many have pointed out, homelander can fly, soldier boy cannot, but yk who can? stormfront! does raise the question of where his heat vision came from, but storefront has electricity powers, and soldier boy has the combustion shit, so it could be some mix of those two, like the combustive energy of soldier boys blasts, but refined like stormfronts lightning n you get homelanders heat vision, idk
The fact that Noir (HL's clone) was specifically created to kill Homelander and Homelander was able to fatally wound Noir is quite impressive really. Although I'm sure that's what Vault wanted and didn't make him too much stronger so that they'd take eachother out.
Yup and probably even knew that if there was a winner, he would be so messed up that he would become vulnerable to human means and they could destroy 'em themselves.

Queen Maeve threw the dude with the glasses (who was with her during her final moments) at Homelander's chest as a human projectile and he was crushed on impact. 😅

I think this is quite possibly the saddest fact in this comic, and one of the saddest realities in comics in general, because had it not been for Noir gaslighting him, Homelander would have genuinely been a good hero. 😢
I don’t think it’s all on Noir. Homelander did start out thinking he could make a positive difference, but his lack of proper training caused multiple casualties, ones that were constantly hidden or justified by Vought. This, his childhood trauma, and the celebrity culture corrupted him. He wasn’t the monster Noir was, and the falsified blackmail materials from Black Noir pushed him into horrible new depths of depravity and insanity, but Homelander didn’t have a high chance at being a good hero while he was under Vought’s control, since Vought manipulates people and ruins/ends lives for their own ends.
