Considering his face was still scared and disfigured safe to say he couldn't completely recover from the beating soldier boy gave him
He could recover, it seems his healing power leaves scarring after damage. Becuz its just like when your burn ur skin bad, it heals but leaves a mark

Soldier boys radiation is why Noir never recovered from those particular injuries but healed from pretty much everything else.
The saddest part about Black Noir in the Amazon series, is that the beating Soldier Boy gave him did more than leave him mute, it most likely regressed his mental state to that of a childs. The way he spells, is constantly doodling, imaginary friends, and so on are what give me that conclusion.

I think that Black Noir is even sadder than you’re making him out to be. In the flashback with Edgar, he’s clearly chatty and quick witted, and even til the news about V broke, he was still very in touch with his emotions. I think he’s a kind soul trapped behind his body, he wants to talk to others but is physically incapable, which led to him becoming the cold, heartless killer due to the isolation
Either way it’s fucked up they came up with this shit just for the show too, one of the only original bits and they went with this just to kill him off for no reason.

What I find curious is that Noir in Homelander's first mission came up with the explosion trap, tying the terrorist to an explosive tank knowing that Homelander would cut through him, and to give that specific lie to the press, despite severe brain damage. That, or Edgar already was in his ear by that time, in which case Edgar knew Homelander was a failure already from his first mission.
This, everyone is saying that he regressed mentally to the age of a 7 year old, but does a 7 year old think of these clever ways to stay alive versus Homelander? In the video it even says that he is an experienced superhero/killer, so he just didnt lose any of that?
@@MiniScumThat episode of The Boys Diabolical is different from The Boys Amazon series. The Boys Diabolical take place in the comics which has many differences, including Black Noir as a character. I don’t wanna spoil, but comic/Diabolical Black Noir doesn’t have the brain damage the show Black Noir has. Assuming you watched the other episodes of Diabolical, you might have noticed Huey looking completely different. That’s because in the comics, he is modeled after Simon Pegg, the actor who would end up playing Huey’s father in the Amazon series.
Or his power is super brain damage, lose all normal function, but keep mass murder skill set.

definitely don’t think he’s got the mental age of a child, but he copes with his trauma like a child would, by relying on his friends which are the imaginary ones, other than that he’s definitely lost his drive to follow his dreams and how to speak entirely so he’s just extremely loyal.

Well , his mind most possibly age regressed due to SB's abuse and the amount of brain damage he endured on his last fight with him.
Black Noir is definitely a killing machine , follows orders and can mask pretty easily but I think it's also important to take into account some of his childlike traits like the way his writing/spelling looks like , doodles frequently , the imagery friends ( psychosis was probably involved too ) even "feeding" them real food ect.
There are people who age regress to do abuse/disabilities alone. So it wouldn't be much of a surprise since Noir's brain damage is what really setted it to stone, poor dude 😔

It seems like a lot of them can't regenerate their eyes, unless their super power is to regenerate. I assume they all heal much faster, but some things can't be healed.
They probably still go by human rules like most stuff can be regrown or healed but certain things cannot

It could be that he regenerates depending on willpower or some sort of mental command, could be the reason why he didn't regenerate those scars as he's still traumatized from that battle and maybe self consciously unable to regenerate
I think this is going to be what happens. Season 4 seems to be headed toward the White House showdown with Victoria Neuman. Homelander, Black Noir and Soldier Boy are all still in play as well.
It’s most likely that he has enhanced regeneration but not to an extreme degree as some other supes such as Gecko. So he can regenerate from wounds that would be fatal to humans, but he can’t regrow limbs or heal certain damage to organs. So he recovered mostly from his many injuries over the years, but he’s severely scarred and has permanent brain damage from Soldier Boy.

Hear me out: I think his power is less "regeneration", but moreso he just doesn't die no matter what damage he takes. His brain never healed, his burns didnt heal- I just think he doesnt feel pain and the V keeps him going no matter what. Even tho Eric Kripke said Earving is dead, im still half-expecting him to come back half-alive with a gaping hole in his gut. OR they introduce the zombie storyline from the comics with him...
I think he’s better in the show compared to his comic counterpart but his story is just tragic with no payoff

My theory is for sure him healing from Homelander kill but having even further brain damage maybe on some zombie shit. I think Noir’s healing factor is what is supposed to set him apart and that’s the best way to show that imo
Plausible. His regeneration isn't perfect, even before Soldier Boy rocked his shit. Maybe his injury from Homelander might still heal, but maybe reduce his brain into nothing. . . Because the brain is also involved in the healing process. . . But Noir's brain is already literally damaged.

@@Silverblade416he doesn’t regenerate as such he has enhanced healing as all supes with physical enhancements do, A train pulling a train with leg braces , star light getting her tracker cut out, maeve before and after she gets depowered says “ah I’ll have to get used to not healing in a day or two”
His is on the higher end but is not regeneration or unique to him, like kimiko I’ll explain: regeneration is perfectly replacing damaged cells something the human body doesn’t naturally do (except the liver) average supes that get enhanced physical abilities seem to have perfect healing like spider man
given enough time they will make a full recovery without lasting effects as long as they don’t die or have something cut off or completely destroyed will recover better and faster than anyone could there are people in real life who don’t produce scar tissue or therefore scar unless you rip out or burn a large chunk the body can’t replace , fire also interrupts the healing/ distress signal process too
but the average enhanced individual cannot grow back limbs or organs

That Would just kill most people and taken multiple years and operations to get to that point as a scarred nugget even
and the skin wasn’t replaced perfectly which brings me to my next point
the average person or supe doesn’t regenerate cells they replace them with collagen and an imperfect “patch” cell where possible that lacks complex structures like hair follicles and pores
but mostly collagen scar tissue, there are people who don’t produce scar tissue and therefore don’t scar unless the injury is very extreme as I say
the average supe that heals fast likely has some variation of that, noir is wayyy more durable than a normal person and mentally unhinged he either disassociates and therefore doesn’t care about pain or just has a high threshold
But that’s why when you se his face or hand it’s a mess of “scars” imperfect cells as replacements, likely has some enhanced capacity for this beyond normal too but mostly he’s just past caring from what I can gather
so messed up already no face etc, new scars don’t bother him, heals fast enough to just tank it with armour and well enough it doesn’t slow him down too much in the long run

Just call it what it is. They didn’t put much effort into the continuity of Black Noir’s powers or background in the show.
I think it will all come to a head in season 4. We will get a much clearer explanation and likely boost his powers/healing factor at the cost of his mental state.

I’d say he’s Deathstroke. That maybe his healing factor is willpower based as well. When he wants to kill you, nothing is going to stop or kill him. But, if he’s scared or lacking confidence, the injuries are permanent.
Noir has either one of two powers.
Either he cant feel pain which would explain a few things

He has a healing factor that only kicks in when hes fataly injured.
Second is more than likely. I mean how do you explain how hes still alive after getting his head smashed in like that?
Maybe he doesn’t feel pain due to the beating soldier boy gave him back then and it’s apart of the brain damage package

it seems like they have left and awesome opening for a Black Noir that is a Homelander clone. Supposing the comic book version is a bit hectic for television, with Homelander killing Noir they will "bring him back" as if he was able to be saved from his encounter with Homelander, only its not Noir, its actually the clone, and we find out in the last season lol
Calling it now they use the remains of Golden Boy and Black Noir to make some type of super solider zombie figure and fill that spot on the 7

Imo this is one of the few times that a live action adaptation surpasses the quality of the original comic (especially in the story) cause Nior is such a tragic and sympathetic character and i was genuinely sad to see him die.
Damn. Just realise, they could have played with him being mentally unstable. Like what happened to noir, would fit perfect with the comic version of him and what he did. Yes still very dark and edgy. But adds more reason to why it is. They could still do that if they bring him back. But for me he feels a bit wasted now. Even if he does come back. Still was a let down after all that back story build up. One final note. The comic idea would have ruined his character being more likeable. So it isn’t a bad miss opportunity. Keeps his character human
I don't get why they built up his backstory just to kill him off before he served any relevance to the plot. His death was really unnecessary and unsatisfying but bringing him back would be such a weird choice

I thought Noir saw the cartoon people due to the damage from that beating in Nicaragua. Kind of like that scene in Deadpool where Wade has the knife in his head and he sees cartoons until the knife gets pulled from his head.
People really still think Homelander killed Noir, like if he can survive what he did with Soldier Boy there is no way that he can't survive a single tummy punch.
So either A he can regenerate for the most part and therefore wasn’t killed by Homelander at the end of S4 OR they are bringing in the comic accurate black noir which is a clone of Homelander but even more unstable

So, it seems that in the comics, Black Noir is the real main antagonist of the story since he instigated the entire conflict by assaulting Becca.

Well, maybe because the brain (like in real life) regulates some part of the regeneration/healing process. . . He's still scarred under the mask. Maybe he was still able to somehow regenerate, but his brain was still damaged. Even though his brain might've healed, it must've been altered from Soldier Boy's assault.
I think they will possibly bring noir back as tech night, they could build a cyborg with what’s left of him🤨 it would be a shame to just never see him again, either that or someone else with similar powers will become the new black noir

Different situations. His durability is enough to survive the explosion. He has enhanced healing and likely received medical attention right after his head injury. Homelander punched Noir straight through his torso and ripped put his guts, then left him for dead.
