This show is going to be fucking crazy when it ends
It makes you wonder, if instead of making a clone they just required him to do regular therapy sessions, just how much of a hero could homelander have actually become in the comics?
Or ya know.. allow him to grow up amongst a loving family
Yeah, but why would a corporation do that? The whole point of the comics is to show that superheroes would be despicable monsters protected by corporations due to self-interest for financial gain and power
@@kman9884yeah, and the comment said “it makes you wonder the alternative” the other way it could go, why does that mean they think the comic should have done that?

If that's the case, I think it's a little ridiculous to say that there was any "main" villain as many people did despicably horrendous things. Glad you made this. I'd hate to wait 10 years for Amazon to complete the series.
I genuinely hate The Boys comics. They’re just poorly written torture porn written but a guy who genuinely hates superhero comics. At least the show actually has something to say. It’s hard to enjoy a piece of media created by someone who’s souls purpose of creating said media is because he hates it.
Did you read the comics or just watched some video about it on youtube?
@@thevideocommenter3061 No he's right... I disliked them for the same reason. They make you feel a certain way, that is for sure, but not a good way. I was left feeling kind of physically ill by the end of The Boys -- the "twist" with Homelander just to do him dirty like that was like, ugh... and then the whole bit with Butcher butchering his teammates and then forcing Hughie to put an end to him was completely nihilistic. It was basically, "None of this had a point, and everybody with any sort of power is evil, and the world is bad. Good bye."

As gratuitous and superficial as the comic is, I’ve always found this concept so cool. The idea that you could be tricked into going insane if you were led to believe you already were. Wish the comic had done more with this and that the show had explored this.
So basically the real homelander is just a douchebag but not a murderer and a rapist

*The backstory: Homelander spent the first eighteen years of his life with a nuclear bomb strapped to his chest in an underground bunker. Vought knew that it was impractical to send something to deal with him. They decide to send someone: Black Noir. Noir was created solely for the purpose of assassinating Homelander if he ever went off the rails. Over the years of watching him, he became restless, then impatient and finally went insane.
