NO. Plastic man can copy the look of the Kryptonite but not the effect of the radiation. Superman would easily destroy Plastic man. He could either burn him or freeze him and break him in pieces. If superman want to waste his time and fly Plasticman to the sun, Plasticman will die in space and freeze to death before reaching to the sun. Plasticman said it himself in Injustice that he has no chance against Superman.
I think the best part in this comic was when Plastic Man said "He's *LITERALLY* sitting on a throne." and called out Sinestro for being a villain (which he is) not because of the way he looks, but of how his MUSTACHE of all things looked like, to the point even Cyborg took a moment to look at Sinestro and questioned himself.
Hey now, Sinestro is a good guy! What’s that old saying? ‘Sometimes to make a good universe you gotta break a few hundred bad galactic empires?’ He’s my favorite DC ‘villain’! He really wants the best for the universe and knows the Green Lanterns are the best force of good… he just thinks they need a little kick now and then. Like his whole multiversal war where he got the Anti-Monitor to nearly eat reality… was all so he could press the Greens so much they’d be forced to adapt and become stronger and start killing their foes. Everything he does is for the greater good, but he has some very questionable methods of reaching his goals.

Actually Superman was proven to entirety counter Plastic Man in the Nazi alternative future. Specifically, Nazi Superman melted Nazi Plasstic Man to the ground, and flew with the rest of his body. Eventually, Plasstic Man’s body snapped from being stretched all the way from Germany to China. Plastic Man’s elasticity is massive, but not infinite.
Physical damage like that likely wouldn’t harm Plas. But throwing him into space/sun/black hole, melting him with heat vision, burying him, freezing him, or using any of his insane tech stuff would more than work. Physically punching Plas wouldn’t work… but chuck him across the universe and he’s toast. Universe would die before he ever got close to getting back.
I feel like Plastic Man is gonna be the next Superhero that James Gunn pulls from relative obscurity and makes into a household name... him and Booster Gold... Those 2 characters are criminally underutilized and they're EXACTLY in Gunn's wheelhouse of strengths when it comes to comic book characters who's personas he exceeds at bringing to life.
6:20 is probably the best injustice moment next to Alfred's shoe exploding when he kicked superman with a super pill and said nothing worth saving. Shame injustice is like batman eternal with so much filler lol but cool starts and endings.

I can't stand these discussions when they include gag characters like Plastic Man. Its one step removed from being "Popeye vs Superman is not even CLOSE".
I mean… Plas literally can’t do anything to Superman besides annoy him. Whereas Supes has hundreds of ways to beat Plas. At most it would’ve been Plas sacrificing himself to buy a bit more time. Plas is purely physical, and is nowhere near strong enough to harm or damage Clark. Whereas Clark can launch him into space, the sun, a black hole, laser him into atoms, freeze him eternally, phantom zone, bury him, etc.

I love this! I think i still have some of Kyle Baker's plastic man magazines from the 2000s and fell in love with the character as a comic-collecting teen. Cool to see him get involved in plots like this.
Among Plastic Man's many abilities, he CANNOT be mind-controlled. Batman knew this and went to go seek his help when Infernus the white martian had incapacitated almost the entire Justice League (including Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash).....👍
4:00 I haven't read the comic. But is it explained why Flash doesn't do anything? It takes 10 to 15 seconds to pass out. Also, if Flash can't breathe, he can't scream either.

Honestly, this was great, but I really wanted a straight up plastic man versus superman showdown.
I mean… Plas literally can’t do anything to Superman besides annoy him.
Whereas Supes has hundreds of ways to beat Plas. At most it would’ve been Plas sacrificing himself to buy a bit more time.
Plas is purely physical, and is nowhere near strong enough to harm or damage Clark. Whereas Clark can launch him into space, the sun, a black hole, laser him into atoms, freeze him eternally, phantom zone, bury him, etc.

@@captcorajus He needed help reassembling himself after 3000 years and wasnt right after. Its not like he can just "whoosh!" reform from molecules. And SUperman can burn him down to the subatomic level, way worse than anything Plas has recovered from.
Plas wouldnt be able to harm Superman internally. He doesnt have the strength to do any damage, and Superman's power means he doesnt breathe.
Plas' best showing is stalling MMH for a bit before he gets overwhelmed.

I love this! I think i still have some of Kyle Baker's plastic man magazines from the 2000s and fell in love with the character as a comic-collecting teen. Cool to see him get involved in plots like this.
Plas was the best part in the Injustice movie, nice to see having the respect he deserves while being truth to the character.

Flash can has straight up *transmuted* matter and energy in the past by vibrating.
He has turned dirt into ice, and once turned Superman's heat vision into a form of radiation deadly to aliens.

Yeah, even Superman isn't doing much without his lungs and Plastic Man could rip those out while he was doing similar unpleasant things to the others in the room.
