The "die to yourself. Die to your friends and family" part REALLY bothered me as a Christian because it is so insanely manipulative and wrong. The Bible does say to die to ourselves (Romans 6:11, Corinthians 15:31, Luke 9:23-24) but what it is saying is that we need to set aside our sinful desires and live our lives following Jesus's example. It doesn't say we need to abandon our families or spend our lives working for free for our Church Pastors. I hate seeing stuff like this. Evil people dangling salvation over others to control them. It breaks my heart.
I grew up in a christian family and I remember my parents talking about false prophets all the time and how the bible warned us about them and I think that’s why I’ve always hated this kind of religious scams, playing with people’s faith and feelings.

Thing is this isn’t Christianity. I wish people knew the difference and didn’t see this as “see? Religion is awful!” But like… just cause people imitate the structure of religion and use it for evil it doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with the philosophy itself it just means some people are evil and use it to exploit others. I also understand using distraction to keep your victims from realizing they actually aren't the problem. When you have a contrite spirit, a manipulator can take advantage of that, because when problems arise someone with a contrite heart will always check themselves first. They will always want to repent and better themselves, missing the deceit and abuse for a while. But what I don't understand is how they can remain in the cult so long. 7M dancers all aren’t that great compared to other professional dancers. They are all solidly good dancers but they don’t have that extra special “je ne sais quois” that AMAZING professional dancers have. For example: Miranda is a very decent and CLEAN dancer however there is nothing special about her movements as she doesn’t add any soul to the choreography, she just cleanly moves through each movement. I find most 7M dancers to be below average compared to other professionals.
