Thank you for your videos. I have my 88 GT convertible that I bought new in Los Angeles. I'm now in East Texas. Your videos are getting me inspired to get Mustang Sally back on the road. 155K miles. Thank you
I put some vintage recaros in my 89. I did it sort of the same way. Your method seems better, but here's what I did. Yanked the stock seats, yanked the tracks, measured the holes and then looked at the recaros. Seemed like they had the metal at the right place, so I drilled holes. I then did the following. Bolt through a washer, through the hole in the fox seat track, nut on the back of that to act slightly as a space, through the fresh drilled holes in the recaro base, and then a nut on the back of that. It worked.
Didn't know about the drivers power seat rack and I'm guessing it was just a GT convertible option back in the day. Nice job on getting those Rick Carro's 😃 installed too.
Great work on the seats Gary! I get what the owner was going for but to my eye the seat color looks a bit off next to the exterior color. I think matching the rears would make a big difference.
Those motors work better with the weight it’s kinda weird but same thing happened to my cousin wouldn’t work out of the car but once we were sitting on it and played with the switch it worked
Great Video, love those seats. Do the power tracks have a fix?? I have the same issue on my 93 GT, they just stopped working. Any info is appreciated 👍🏽
I have a question unrelated to this video. What will you do to tune this car. I am currently building a 347 with afr 185 heads EX 274 hr cam what are your thoughts on using factory computer? Is terminator x worth it or needed
This is why I appreciate and support your channel! You show the good, bad and the ugly of working on these Foxbody Mustangs! Good work Brother! 💯👊🏾
Thanks so much dude!

I did exactly the same in my 89 vert,25 years ago, still goin strong!
Been listening to the podcast and am loving it! Being from Minnesota, I totally get your humor and lingo.
Hahahaha - thats awesome! When I went to school in Washington everyone thought I was from Minnesota 😂
Seats really were the icing on the cake for the interior but yeh, definitely got to get the back seat recovered
👍👍
100%
Great video. Very helpful. Glad I ain't the only one getting their arse kicked in the garage 😂
Hahahaha! Anytime pal
Great work Gary, back to manual seat tracks, nice way to attach those tracks to the Recaro's.
Thank buddy!
Those look soooooo good Gary!
Thanks buddy!

Interesting...
Did the same mod with 09’ seats. Used 1” square stock though.
sweet!
Can’t get over how good those Terminator style wheels look on this car. Are they 17s?
Yes they are 17"
Where did those seats come from? I love the upholstery on them, I want something similar but with red instead of the blue
We got them from eBay
Great Video, love those seats.
Do the power tracks have a fix??

Not that I am aware of but when I find some "free time" I am going to look into it
I got my seats from Malaysia and was able to buy extra material from them and bought the rear seat cover. Do they not have the materials anymore?
Nice! I asked this outfit but they don’t have the houndstooth section… ☹️
Did the Recaro’s come from Malaysia?, he will do a matching rear skin
Yes, but we can't seem to find the houndstooth anywhere...?
That’s unfortunate

Have you seen my tuning video? Its worth a watch and sums up my thoughts
