I love how the Recaro seats are modular. I need to fix the side bolster on my 89 Civic Si seat, and it is not like this awesome process. Great video as always.
My first car that i ever paid for was a 91 CRX automatic, i know thats not a popular choice but i loved that car so much. Im working my butt off right now trying to save to buy another. I have never loved a car so much as i loved that one. It was 2001 and i was a Private in the Army, i paid $3200 for it and it had 122K miles on it. Super clean stock all black. One day ill get that car again, it was by far the best thing i ever owned. Love the channel Seth, and love learning more about these iconic vehicles. Thank you sir!
I loved the video... it's just good to see the restoration of the Recaro... I hope I can leave my seats for my Integra as good as yours... greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Nice repair Seth. I still think you owe it to yourself to try the drill carpet brush with some carpet solution...and then an extractor (like a Bissell) to REALLY see those seats come to life. I bet the color will match more closely after that.
@@crxseth Make a video about it ;-) In all seriousness, they should only be around $150. Not sure if you ever watch the Detail Geek, but he uses a very simple Bissell unit that works wonders.
Hello CRXseth! I saw that you had put a link for the foam and the red fabric for the seat, do you have a site that offers the red fabric but for the Recaro backrest? thank you in advance
That website is the only one I know. I know there is a company that will make some new covers. They are expensive but they can be reached at keiji.futatsugi @ gmail.com It was 150,000 yen at the time of my inquiry for the entire seat covering.
Man I really want an ITR as well, but when it comes to this car, I’m quite picky. In high school, there was a yellow one for sale near where I lived, but some other kid near at my school bought it. So I only want the USDM yellow and nothing else. Unfortunately, they’re over 40k with high mileage and over 70k with lower mileage now. More than I’d like to spend for an ITR.
Glad to see another video upload from you Seth. Your seat turned out great! Coincidently I was watching another RUclipsr rebuilding a Recaro seat for his DC5 too. ruclips.net/video/rVYVJBbRq44/видео.html
Just picked up some lovely RED Leather seats for my CR-X, assume there not Factory ones but the Quality is amazing, full leather, not just front and back Vinyl and quality leather too with CR-X logo
Been looking forward to this particular update because my seats really need some TLC
Damn it’s almost like Recaro intended us to handle this on our own. I would have never know!

Its a good design, makes it much easier to repair👍

You can grow you channel by putting more content into these videos, all love! Hope to see more from you Mr. seth❤️
Had to come back and rewatch this. The blobby, crumbled foam is getting to me and my comfort. haha
The new bolster foam is a game changer.
while im here for the CRX content i also appreciate the resto of a type R, keep up the good work. Also, nice shirt ive got the same one =3
Thanks for the support. Hoping to get in a CRX groove soon.
geese I have 2 Ricardo red seats in mint condition that came with a car I bought. I had no idea they were going for that much. Thanks for the tip
10/10 condition is about $2500
Unfortunately the costs keep rising! Or fortunately for those who already own.
Good find on the replacement pieces!
Thanks for the video. Just did mine using this as a guide.
Glad it helped!
Car is really looking great man!
Thanks!

Hey would you know I'd stock civic seatbelt buckles fit these recaros and rails?
Need to do this!
Worth it!
Great job and video!!! I would have gone for the old fabric cuse it was not bad and would have look better.

You’re probably right. I can’t seem to bring myself to buy an extractor.

The prices just keep going up!
Any more updates to the ITR?
Not at the moment. Debating selling it for an NSX, but if I don’t, I’ll start on some paint work on it.
Did the red floor mats come with the car from Japan or did you purchase them? Do you know the brand?
I do not know the brand, but they did come with the car when it was shipped from Japan.
Nice little video Seth. I have the Recaro challenger seats just for this reason in my 90 civic hatch
Hi Seth,
I prefer the previous t-shirt: mire minimalist 😁
Do you have another one for me ?
I want to use it in one of my videos 😉
Unfortunately, I am all out of the previous design.
Shoot rebuilding a whole set wouldn’t be a bad idea after buying a very used set
How to by this spam

How to tell the real recaro sr3 seats to the fake

These seats wear out too quickly! Haha.
You make things look easy ✨️

Luckily, this job wasn’t too terribly bad.
I would it kept the OEM fabric rather !!
It wasn’t terrible, but the new looks fresh, even if it’s slightly off-color.
I would sell the DC2 now as prices are high !
But I just bought it, so that means I bought high. ;)
Mannnn DROP A CRX RESTORATION BUILD VIDEO ALREADY.. and a decent one not a 8minute video doing 1 tiny update…
Love the videos tho
Thanks! It’s tough working a full time job and having a family. I’ll hit it soon. I don’t have a ton of extra time outside of work.
