Hello fro m the uk -- thinkin gof my 1986 Recaro 2.8 Capri seats -- and then I saw this --great idea hope it held up -- i must give it a go..best wishes and thanks for a great idea
awesome!! i've been looking for a solution for this! every time I got the mesh "repaired" by getting sown back together. the black rubber would just tear else wear. Thanks for the video!!
This works great!! However, the only thing bad about this technique is the small of the adhesive. It smells pretty bad so might end up taking it out and finding a new solution.
I repaired the driver's seat probably 8 or so years ago and it's held up great so far. That was when the seats were being used in NJ and it got pretty hot in the summer. The seats are now in Florida and so far, so good. The new owner drives the car a lot so we'll see how it goes from here.
gizmo chevy nismo 1 I had them in my car with the repair for around 6 or 7 years. I’ve since sold them to a friend and he’s had them in his car for around a year. They feel just like the originals did.
Thinking about doing this to my ITR Recaros. Seems to he pretty durable.

The smell of the adhesive is terrible but it definitely goes away after a little bit.
Exactly what I was looking for, thank you 👍🏽
had the same problem repaired mine with 10 jumbo cable ties
TOTALLY going to try this out
I did it on the first seat and it lasted for years with no problems. LMK if you have any questions.
This is a practical repair. I am wondering if the glue will hold for people who live in a very hot climate.

@@LucidAutowerks thank you
A respirator does not protect you from chemical fumes, only particulates. use proper ventilation.
