  • Huge thanks to ‪@BatteryLife‬ for joining me for this episode! So much fun to learn of his adventures filming and testing electric cars in Europe, just as we do in the US. He's really a great VW ID expert so made for the perfect guest for this episode.

Chris and Kyle, are two of the key folks why I got an ID4

Thanks for giving Chris’s Chanel some love

  • @itekani

The biggest let down VW did to the Id3 is not make it possible to tow a trailer. If it could tow 1000 kg like the Id4 it would have been a serious alternative to Model 3, but now it is just half a car.

  • @katiecannon8186

I so wish they’d bring the id3 to North America. I’d buy one immediately.

  • @laatu1234

Thanks for meeting with one of my favourite EV- experts in RUclips 🇫🇮👍. Chris sure is great guy and surely knows alot about EVs 👍👍👍

  • @JohnyForElectric

My two favorite EV experts in one video? Your are kidding - how better it could be? :) Thank you both, Kyle and Chris. Hope VW listens. I sometime feel they DON'T...

  • @sebbbi2

Discussed with VW dealer person today and they said ID.3 will get the new motor and new infotainment system next year. No info yet about range and acceleration yet, but he said both are better. So it seems that a proper facelift is coming eventually.

Great to see Chris ftom BL on the Chanel with Walter....🎉🎉

  • @Knnnkncht

    Chris is the german Dominic

  • @OutofSpecMom

At least Chris is honest about battery degradation and how it’s a real thing. DC fast charging is just brutal on batteries.

Chris" review was one of the reasons I bought the ID3. Into my 3rd year of ownership now, and couldn't be happier.

  • @louishiggins8881

I've been watching Chris (Battery Life) since the early days of the ID3 - he does 'in depth' reviews rather than just regurgitating the press release, well worth checking out 😁.

  • @thenetworkarchitectchannel

get to see you and Chris together. Both are great supporters of the EV community and I watch both of your's content frequently. Thx for the vid. I enjoyed watching.

  • @TheProjectOverload

I love this interview - Between Out of Spec and Battery Life, you have all the VW ID products covered. Thank you for sharing - Both your channels are awesome. 😎

  • @MarioDallaRiva

Chriiiss! You lucky dog, you got to meet Alyssa!

  • @electric-rideshare

Chris is awesome, love the attitude as well. People complain about the smallest things .

I think one reason why many things take so long is that they have contracts with suppliers and purchase commitments for certain quantities. Volkswagen is known for more or less blackmailing its suppliers in price negotiations, but also has to make commitments in return. If they want to change faster, it will be more expensive and they try to avoid that. That is probably the reason why the change of the steering wheels to buttons takes so long or also with the new infotainment hardware. They want to use up the quota first before changing to the new system, also with the ID.3.

  • @michaelridley2864

Great chat for ID nerds (and owners), thanks.

  • @katiecannon8186

I have a 2023 GTI. I love the interface & the capacitive buttons. The reviewers who just constantly complain just seem to me to do so because it’s become a thing to say.
