Since it is increasing the engine torque, the engine will work in higher operating condition. The engine was design to last for 300 K miles for example working on factory operating condition. The question is : if I install Race Chip will that decrease my engine life ?
The RaceChip was developed to not push the stock components beyond what they can handle and we keep drivetrain life in consideration while developing the tune. Of course redlining your car on every shift and hard accelerations constantly will decrease the life of the components, but this is also true with or without a tune. You should see no adverse effect from the tune as long as you keep the car maintained with the factory recommended maintenance. We are so confident that our products will not harm the engine that we even offer our OWN engine warranty on-top of the factory warranty.

Unfortunately we do not test 0-60 times as they rely on too many outside factors. Tire quality, road conditions, fuel quality, etc. Instead we measure the power change on a dyno as it is consistent and reliable.
You can control which map you are on via the app. You will find the gains here www.racechip.us/shop/lexus/is-xe3-from-2013/200t-1998ccm-241hp-180kw-258lb-ft.html
It works independently. You can still use ECO and SPORT mode of the car. You will have more power in both. In ECO mode you will save more gas than before due to the increased torque.
No it is not recommended to stack tunes. If we or R&R felt the motor could safely handle more power, we would have done so in our tunes. Adding that much power can cause engine issues.
Depends on the car, environment, and conditions. This is why we offer the fine tuning option in the app. The higher maps will be the stronger maps, 5,6,7. Just test them and see what works best in your area.
You can drive the vehicle in any drive mode as our product does not interfere with the cars preset drive modes like eco or sport. Instead, we provide extra power in all of these modes, allowing you to fully customize your driving experience.
I have two questions. Does this dramatically decrease throttle lag? Does it effect the ECU to where I will have to deactivate it before I take my car it to the dealership for service?
No, these are tuning products for increasing the power in the motor, not improving throttle response. You would need to check with the dealership to see if our product voids your manufacturers warranty. We recommend removing it as a precaution.
It's the safest way of tuning if done right. It's an additional control unit that does not modify the ecu itself. It optimizes the signals going to the ecu. The ecu increases the power and all engine protection mechanisms stay intact. In many countries, RaceChip offers an engine warranty free of charge.
Unfortunately, the speed restriction is not canceled by any of the RaceChip products. Our system does not intervene on the motor control of your car. The Manufacturers pre-set limitations/restrictions will remain. The RaceChip creates an increase in torque and horsepower by plugging into various sensors in the motor. Thus, better performance, without a modified ECU. This also means you can maintain your factory warranty as we do not leave a footprint in the ECU.
