@@marykaye9907 You can definitely put a “diverter:bypass valve” on! That’s the closest thing that is made similar to a BOV for these cars/engines/turbos. I believe TTI makes them, but they are hard to get ahold of. That would be dope if HPS started making them!🙏

I've been trying to get this mod from tti for a while but they been out of stock. I didn't know hps made them and thanks to you i had to buy one. Also you made the install seem fairly easy compared to other videos out there 🔰💯👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you!🙂 HPS literally just started selling them this week! TTI is supposedly supposed to be back in stock by the end of this month, but I prefer HPS anyways. But yeah!.. the install isn’t too difficult whatsoever, just take your time and you’ll be perfectly fine.

I used a buddies address out of state. Then I’ll just have him ship it to me. I live like an hour away from HPS too. They also used my car shot for their instagram when I installed the HPS intake. Kinda weird how that works but they don’t make the laws in Cali…they just gotta follow them.

Get a tune if you haven't, best mod you can do for it. I got the tune from VF, and it's a completely different car now. Thanks for the video, I may acquire the turbo muffler delete myself!

After looking at the car closely, I really think i could get this part out without removing the heat shield/misc stuff. I'm going to try doing mine this weekend and see how it goes.

@@Grey3IS So, not enough wiggle room without removing it. Wife timed it and looks like I got the mod done in 24 minutes, lol. Upon driving, I honestly dont hear a real difference. Maybe it's just me?
@@smit9352 Ahhh okay. And 24 minutes.. that’s awesome!! There isn’t a crazy difference in noise, but I felt the difference in the low end boost. There is slightly more torque in the lower RPM.

I will get this mod for myself eventually. I have the HPS charge pipe but I didn’t really notice any difference.
Nice! They work best, or at least you notice the most, then you do all of it. I noticed a decent low-end torque difference with this TMD. But I wanna get the charge pipe next. I DEFINITELY recommend an HPS intake next of you don’t already have it!
@@Grey3IS I have the cheaper injen cold air intake. I also got the Costel Performance Turbo Upgrade Lexus GS200T IS200T NX200T NX300 2.0L Turbo 17201-36010. It makes a different sound and is slightly faster

Sounds great! I'm gonna get one for my nx. What other mods besides the intake?
I have aem intake, hps charge pipe, GoFastBits diverter valve upgrades & vent to atmosphere spacer, (got it for the extra boost with the Race Chip GTS Black gives me when turned on ... extra boost gives the turbo flutter sound or compressor surge, wanted to let out extra air)
And I also have the Sprint booster throttle controller.... it let's the turbo spool harder/ sooner by letting the throttle body open more instantly. The 2 things that made the car feel faster , only one actually gave the engine more power but the other lets the stock power hit faster, the Race Chip & Throttle controller, respectively.

Hey family recently did turbo muffler delete and cold air intake aswel wit my girls is 200t and when we put it in sport mode it keeps messing up the engine almost like the computer gets tripped out by all the new air and shuts the car off Any idea wats causing this?? one Macanic said it may need a computer tune since it has a lot more air goin to the engine
Hello! I’m sorry that’s happening. You shouldn’t necessarily need a tune for these additions. Your engine should adjust accordingly. The main thing I would say is make sure your TMD’s rubber sleeve is tightened all the way with no leaks. And make sure your mass air flow sensor on the intake is all the way tight.
Damn yea rubber sleeve is tight and mass flow air sensor is on good aswel I’m so confused its only messing up when we put it in sport mode n give it a lot of gas almost like the computer ain’t able to Handel all the new air …just so weird intake should be bolt on and nothing more 😞

Hey I was wondering how do you check for the leaks ? I installed mines and I was just curious because I wanted to see if I did everything correctly. Thank you !
I recommend running the car for a little bit, then open your hood and listen close for any unusual air noises. Also, using your hand to feel around both ends of the TMD for air leaks is a good idea. That’s all. Thank you for your support!

How did yours make noise while stained still mine does not build boost while it not moving?
You have to put it in drive, then brake boost!

Thank you! Even though mine are the “smoked” ones, I’d say they are brighter than the stock ones. Both in the daytime and nighttime.

Did you notice a difference from the front strut bar?
Yes! It helped with chassis rigidity and Corning when taking turns. Less flexing in the chassis. It will all help even more if you get all of the available strut bars (front, rear, underneath the car etc..)

Did you need a tune with the intake
You don’t “need” one. But it’s recommended. Personally, I do have one that’s takes into account my intake. It’s called MForce Tuning. I totally recommend them.

Nope! A tune isn’t necessary for those modifications. That’s what HPS says.

Hello! You have to throw it into Drive and mash the break. Then mash the throttle, then let off the throttle. Don’t let go of the break or you’ll do a burnout 😄.

Hey there! I don’t have a BOV actually! I know TTI makes them and will be releasing them again soon. But, I just have the cold air intake and the TMD. That’s all! 👍

@@tareqalnajjar8065 I think either will be fine. And the TMD just plugs right into there in replacement of the old one. And TTI will be seeing them again soon.

I have an is300 same engine, is the turbo flutter and loud release caused by the combination of the intake and the turbo muffler delete, or it’s all from the muffler delete
That’s awesome! It’s actually mostly from the intake. HPS makes a very well designed intake. The Turbo Muffler Delete does add a little bit extra noise/ flutter ambience, but it mostly helps with low-end boost. They work very well together. But if you really just want more flutter, an “open” intake would help a lot with that.

@@305sergii So, our cars don’t let the turbo spool unless we are in Drive. So What you have to do is put it in Drive, let it idle, press the break, then rev it slightly (to about 2.5k rpm) with the break pressed and it will spool up loudly. You’re pretty much brake-boosting it but then not letting off the break. I hope this makes sense😄

@@kingross3581 Ahhh yes. Help you know if it’s boosted? If it’s a 2016 IS 300, it’s a naturally aspirated V6. Therefore not forced induction.. so not boosted. Is that what you mean?

@@kingross3581 Ahhh I get the confusion. Starting 2018, the IS 300’s are boosted. But 2016 and 2017, the IS 200t is boosted and the IS 300 isn’t.
