Have you had a bad experience with Refurbs? Where did you buy it from? I'm taking suggestions!
In the future, I'm going to buy multiple devices so these tests can be more accurate. Ie - buying 5 iPhone 8's and see how many have issues. Next up is GAMESTOP! :)

Just a tip on checking for generic charging cables, normally they have a serial number on the cable(fake ones never have this), may take a bit of time to find as the fonts grey, like the charger itself.

What downloaded program did you use to test all the functionality?
i got a used iphone XR “like-new” from amazon. their packaging wasn’t the best but the overall phone quality isn’t even bad. their description was mostly accurate, they said things like “no imperfections to be seen as far as an arms length” which is totally true, i barely notice any scratches on the screen until i bring it up closer. battery health is at 88% which isn’t super bad, it’s good enough for me since it lasts on one charge most of the day.
If you don’t mind me asking, how much did it cost?

@@7x7vv sorry for taking so long to respond. overall battery health really depends on how much you care for your phone, and i treat mine like a baby, so its still at 88%. It cost me around $288 which is really not bad for "like-new" condition.

Better off with Amazon refurbished program. I ordered an iPhone 10s gold and came like it was new out of the box. Not a single scratch. Happy with the purchase.

I'd be so pissed. The bare minimum of a refurbish to me is at least popping in a new battery. No exceptions.

2 days ago I actually got my semi new (used or refurbished) Huawei Mate 40 pro from a phone company called "Movistar". It cost me 600 dollars ( half the price of a new one) and it arrived in nearly perfect condition with just some minor wear marks, the screen is perfect, cameras also perfect and the battery last a whole day.
10/10 recommended
@crazy afghan I've been a Huawei user since 2018 and I really like their phones, they cost a fraction of the price of a high end apple or Samsung device and offers you the same capabilites in most aspects

Nice vid. I have an 11 pro. If I want to buy a replacement battery does it need to be reset before or is it same as the iPhone 8 as I just did a family member’s battery and loved the experience.
I would NEVER buy a refurb from a company that charged to return it. Charging a customer to return a refurbished device is shady. You never know what condition the phone is in because it is obviously not new.

While I understand why they do that, if the customer can't see the phone before they buy it they should be able to return it if it isn't up to their standards. That's why I can stand behind Amazon Renewed because their return policy is solid.

I think you should look at "black market" for used phone. I like their warranty and I think they have like a 90 day return policy
For reference of how bad the battery health is, apple recommendeds a replacement at 85% and you typically have issues at 80%
"Replacement" replace the entire goddamn phone and not the battery
That's at 80% the battery replacement. I tried to get my brother's iPhone 12 pro max battery replaced at 84% during the warranty period. Apple didn't allow us to go through with the replacement.

I bought an iPhone 11 Pro silver 256GB off of Amazon and it works perfect the only issue was the battery health which was 81%. The cosmetic condition is about 9/10. Was actually going to buy it off of Best Buy.

Walmart depends on the seller but the xr I got wasn’t properly refurbished. Battery wasnt even done on it but the phone does work atleast.

Amazon actually it’s ok to buy refurbished phones, eBay too as if something goes wrong which happens 1 out of 2 , they stand behind you and you are covered. My advice is to buy from these two places but the best place to buy an iPhone even refurbished is apple themselves.

Shorts is what people mainly watch, I'm focusing on long videos a lot more nowadays but shorts are much easier to put out and usual produce better results for my channel. I don’t think think we have best buy available here (UK) so I got my refurbished iPhone SE 2020 from O2 and it’s currently doing great, I will be getting apple care on it to be on the safe side

A few years ago I got an s10 from best buy refurbished, and it had a Sim tray that didn't fit flush, software that would not update because it had some kind of Wierd mismatch between software version and model number, and the screen cracked on its own only a few weeks after getting it

Plus most of the time those are 1:1 copies Charging cables . With apple chips . So it would show genuine. But they are still good quality cables.

I’ve got a iPhone se 2020 Refurbished form my local iPhone/android repair shop and they sell refurbished phones for good prices I got this iPhone for 251$ and it’s in mint condition nothing wrong with the screen or the body everything runs smooth and really good

Been using a refurbished s10 plus for like 6 months (from giffgaff, aBritish service provider idk if u guys get them over the pond) and other than the odd scratch to the bodywork (that I've already added to lmao) you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and a brand new one other than it being about £300

84% isn't very good battery health. I bought an SE 2020 from Amazon Renewed for a backup phone and it had 92% battery health. Also, I would rate it cosmetically as 8/10 because it had one small scratch on the screen near the top. Other than that, there was not a mark on the phone. My screen protector covered the scratch, so actually the phone looks almost new. I would buy from Amazon again.
It is normal for a 2019 model. My 11 has 84% as well on ios 15
