Walmart is closed at 11pm but theres at least 50 plus people in that store, cleaning and stocking. Its the safest place to stealth camp. and Local PD checks the parking lot at least twice a night. Idaho is called the GEM State. ITs a hidden Gem!!! I love my Idaho...the place is chill, Idahoans are chill and we have lots of potatoes lol!

Hey Rosa!! new subscriber, YT suggested this video. You mentioned in the video that your window washer fluid is frozen, and can't clean the window.. Gas stations usually have (here anyway) the winter fluid and a squeegee right next to each gas pump, if not then can get a spray bottle and put winter washer fluid in it n spray the window n turn the wipers on, or can even just throw a few handfulls of snow on the window n turn the wipers on. 😉

Washerfluid tank can crack from freezing. I would put some undiluted winter fluid to the washer tank. It might unfreeze if you keep engine running long enough or drive someplace warm.

The one and only time I tried camping in a hotel parking lot. I had just laid down and then looked to my right and saw a guy from the third floor window staring at me. This was before I used window covers. But I ended up at a Walmart after that!
My windshield's dirty but my conscience is clean... Bread and cheese, bread and cheese... I used to live on sourdough and extra sharp cheddar. Sardines are good too.
Ahhh that's so funny because I used to save my Starbucks cups for that but one time the bottom gave out and I haven't trusted them since 😂 I stick to gas station coffee cups now
I live in a mini-van during the workeek because there is no affordable housing within 1 hours commute of my Seattle job and I hate long commutes. I find residential streets are the best place to sleep their are quieter and alittle safer. The trick is you don't go to the residential street until dusk, you black out the windows, you don't make excessive noise and you never leave any trash. It helps that I have a 6 am job and leave the residential street no later than 5:30 am before alot of people wake up. I wouldn't park in a neighborhood with alot of mansions or a really run down crime ridden neighborhood but most neighborhoods are fine. The problem with the rich neighborhoods is you have snooty Ken's and Karen's that don't need to work and spend their time critiquing others. In a normal working class neighborhood alot of people are too busy working to care, they have better ways to spend their limited free time. I wouldn't park right in front of someone's big living room window either. Thankyou although for talking about Wallmart parking sometimes that is a good option and is nice to park in one spot every few days not having to go to a different street every night.
Grest post! I live in Mont Belviue, Texas. Its all upper middle class to wealthy to large coubtry ranch hones and edtates and the chambers county sherrif and deputies and Mont Belviue town police are like 24/7 eagle eyed sentinels. Police live in every neighborhood. Yeah, no night parking here. Good post!

I stealthed camped at a Walmart in Pennsylvania! It was fine! But I really actually enjoyed the truck stops, because of the 24/7 food, toilets, showers, etc ... Be safe out there Rosa! The desert says w'sup?!🏜️....And I kid you not, I got a very nice suntan going!🌞😆

Camped out in Walmart all across Canada in my grand caravan. It was great. They don't mind, close to food, lights. There are lots of people doing it. It's like a little community, like a flash mob of "like minded people".
When you have to get major work done on your vehicle, do you have to tell them to hustle along cause you live in it or do you get a room for the time? How easy is getting your car fixed? My Versa was frequently difficult because parts could be a issue.

I don't understand why parking lots are so strict on overnight parking. They should welcome people like you to stay overnight. At least Walmart has been good to you❤
Walmart is usually pretty good to its parkers. I used to make sure that I did My shopping there, just as a means of saying “thank you” while I was there.

I've been vanlife living 23+ years and have done all the RUclips styles including remote, wilderness, city, suburbia, urban and traveled around the USA about 250-300 times. For the past dozen years I've been more urban style, and I love WalMarts and Cracker Barrels, and since I'm super stealth I also love Hiltons, and upscale motels, hotels, and where ever feels welcoming and comfortable. when I was driving a truck I would just pull over at an overpass and park usually on an incline. All night 7-11 or big truck stops like Pilot and Flying Js. Being a member of planet fitness I can to anyone of them across the nation and shower for free but 23 a month membership. Staying on the road most of the day is planned around meals and toileting. Since you are in snow just put a big scoop in a cup and cleaner than any bottled water.

Ok, I just figured out what Walmart you were at. That is my hometown. Fall Creek Falls on the South Fork is beautiful.

I have stayed at Walmart a lot and no problems. I know they are different in each one or state.
A rainy day would be perfect for stealth camping. Cops are too busy with accidents to check cars in a parking lot.
