Rosa: You’re my new favorite YT channel. Thanks for posting all your adventures. You’re giving me some confidence to venture out & are showing that it even can be done in extremely cold weather. 🥶👏👏💕

I actually wasn't that cold, I have a really good sleeping bag! And I kinda like keeping my setup as minimal as possible. Since I don't have solar panels or anything like that, it's tough to use any type of heating source!
@@lifeinmyelement absolutely yes I understand thank you so much for talking to me you are so amazing and friendly and I wish the best for you in every adventure take care God bless!!!!
You should invest in a jackary solar system, then you could use a small heater or a electric blanket that would keep you so much warmer...please always be safe out there..hugs from Halifax nova Scotia Canada ❤
Absolutely stunning scenery. I would have eaten your meal!! Glad your car started. Wow that was super cold -13 deg F. :) Sorry about your water getting frozen. :P You're one tough lady!! The Moosies were superb!!!
This is so helpful. I live in New Zealand and have been waiting for the weather to turn from winter to spring to start my adventure but watching this made me realise our weather is nothing compared to this and I can do it too.

Rosa, you need electric start for your car! I have one in my van now, it'll change your life! You can actually start and shut off your vehicle from bed like I do when it gets very cold!👍🚙
Lol you used my only so much you can take off line! That's awesome. I've been cold before but never -15 cold. Can't even imagine. Beautiful area though, probably worth it
I'm sorry, your comment is really great but I'm distracted by your username lol are you really an eagles fan?? Because I'm a huge giants fan..... awkward
@@lifeinmyelement I am 100% an Eagles fan! Happy that I could provide a distraction, since you've been a distraction in my day (in a very positive way) since I found your channel. Great video and great channel! Just stumbled across this in reccomened after this video was posted and watched all the vids lol, I’m curious as to how you maintain this lifestyle, especially since you started over 4 years ago, did you do RUclips before ? Just curious as I’m hoping to get out of 9-5 soon
Great question. It's a long and rambling answer! Basically I never went to college, worked 3 jobs for 4 years, saved a bunch of money. Now I travel and do seasonal work at different National parks! And I guess youtube now as well 😊 I highly recommend seasonal work (check out coolworks) it's a great way to see awesome places but still make money

Sorry for your loss. It’s hard. I can relate. How do you stay warm in your car? Could you use a heated blanket?❤❤❤ * never mind, you answered the cold question 😅*
There was a couple dogs running around for 5 min but they left pretty quickly. I'm just overly paranoid about having propane running while I'm sleeping. It's an anxiety of mine

You are the Real Deal. Much respect. But. You may want to look into leaving your car running more often, even all night Im pretty sure there is no harm in that at all and it will only use a tiny bit of fuel. After all Truckers basically do what you are doing but every day year round. They all run their engines all night. Some have an APU that is just a small engine that runs to provide heat and AC. Anyway Imma bet you are going places with these videos, you're the whole package and we will remember when "back in the day" you were able to write so many replies. Thank you you're fun!
Honestly, you are probably right. Especially when it gets below 0°F. Elrond (my car) definitely struggles in very cold weather, so I'll take your advice into consideration!
We used to have a little ford transit connect before we got our sprinter, and we ran that little thing all night hundreds of times. Not gonna hurt it one bit, just need to change the oil more frequently. The sprinter has a diesel heater which is really the way to go.
Why not get a pair of lined rubber 🧤 GLOVES and wear them over a lightweight knit pair 4cooking.? Sorry, but you are driving me crazy: Use a Napkin!😮 Suggestion #2: Get a collapsible 12v kettle....fill it b4 going 2 bed so it's ready in the morning . Instead of using 2 sleeping bags. You should have a sleeping bag that goes to -20. Also as a precaution an electric blanket & a sleeping bag liner.
