Not to mention the last kr adaptstion we got WAS a battle royale
Western adaptation is a concept that is very alien to me. Is it like changing things to make them more appealing to a Western audience👀? But why do we need to do this? Is there like a big gap in culture or things that will be confusing to the west? Why can't we just play the original program with dub?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, having Kamen Rider on TV growing up really confused me with the idea.
I think that those points could be factors in making the adaptation and I think that dubbing a live action show such as Sentai or Rider could be more noticeable than to dub an anime. Also producers or directors might change some things if they could gain money from them (such as the jungle fury spirit rangers for gekiranger’s adaptation) or they might think that the audience is too sensitive to see something such as death like with the deaths in Kamen rider saber

Yeah, now come to think of it, even though Build is my favorite rider, but I do think I do agree that Geats would make a really interesting adaptation

While Geats makes sense. The obvious choice would be Zero-One. I mean it is the start of the reiwa era so it makes sense to start with the clean slate. Though I could see Saber/a revice having a hard time selling their gimmicks.
I mean why wouldn’t swords sell?
Kiva, Vampires are very popular, cool costumes, footage not yet low quality, big dinosaur castle toy that kids and collectors will buy, and more.
Tbh geats Geats is an amazing show with very cool stuff and fire toys and the best iteams to collect with multiple female and male riders so i would adapt that show , i put this commet when he said 01 btw 😅

That mindset is why I hate some of these corporations sometimes. It’s never about, “Well what story could we tell with this? What would the characters be like? How should we adapt it? What will grab audiences in and make them really love and connect with the show?” No it’s always “Well what kind of toys and other merchandise can we sell to people?” I don’t care about toy sales. I just want stories that matter. But I guess that’s not important to businesses.
Honestly, I would just do all the Reiwa riders and make it a yearly thing. Start with 01, then go to Saber, Revice will be a problem but then you can do Geats
Now, as easy as it would be to say Fourze, I think my next pick would be Kamen Rider Den-O. It's fun, hilarious, it has time travel, it can open the door for a lot of different emotional beats as well as comedic beats. The Taros are amazing and I think with their vibrant personalities will elevate the entire show. Even though the only change I would have is with the villain, but other than that, Den-O is so unique as a rider season that it would do great to stand out as a show. But Geats has everything going for it as well, so I would love to see it in the US. And it has a lot of money making potential as well.

I would pick Decade, because they have a cross over with Power Rangers Samurai. We need that.
I could see a really cool Kamen Rider/Power Rider game coming out of a Geats adaptation.
I'd say Saber, since it's really similar to Super Sentai (and by extension, the American adaption of Power Rangers).
think doing an original series series would work to as long as its not to silly or gooffy

you need to adapt the rest of the heisei season first in order to make sense for US audiences.
It's very hard which one season will be good for kamen rider in western america, my idea for kamen rider adapt is Build or Zero-One will be good one!!!

Well, it would certainly make the US versions of custom ID cores a lot easier than the Japanese version. well, maybe in this customization kit you would actually get a miniature version of a 3-D printer or something. You know, one that you could hook up to your iPad/tablet instead of the computer. Apparently the Adobe illustrator mobile app is a thing. My guess is 3DS Max and adobe creative cloud would be as well.
Seeing as Kamen Rider 01 was already brought to the U.S. thanks to Shout Factory, I can see why Kamen Rider Geats would be the way to go in terms of an American adaptation. That being said, I still think 01 would've been the perfect starting point for an American-ized Kamen Rider franchise.
While thematically Zero-1 would be a great way to start it off as a franchise, but unfortunately if we wanted to actually get the show of the ground we’d have to start with a series that would sell really well. That or get a big name company to really back it.
It would be great. The only concern I have is the American version of the toys Would most likely be cheaper and crapper

I love Geats so much and I think it would be an absolute smash hit as an adaptation for the west
To answer your question tho, I would say Zero One or Saber.
Either wizard, gaim or build or Zero-One as a starting series
I would prefer something animated for older rider series like showa or pre decade seasons

Yeah I prefer watching it more then power rangers RPM when they aired at the same time. But the only problem with DK is had to many recap episodes
