I made this video after taking three shots and Mako was like "hell yeah."
yes I do agree KR Build is a good jumping off point, but now that hasbro is rebooting the PR universe they might also try make an original Kamen Rider as well, after you said it yourself just the title of KR alone is going to be a hassle to get so it would be interesting to see what hasbro has in store. also there are rumors running around hasbro is planning a TV universe similar to the MCU.
Imagine an alternate universe where Masked Rider was as good and popular as Power Rangers, continued after Kuuga came out, and has been ongoing to present
If only............
good idea
No
And also Metal Heroes continues with the adaptation of Armor Hero.
The people in those timelines sure are lucky and probably don’t realize how good they have it
personally as I've said before, I'd just make a completely original Rider show similar to what Ultraman did in the 90's or what Legendary pictures have done with Godzilla just because it'd be easier to work with. However 01 would work well with it's plotline being about AI going rouge, Build would be pretty cool too
I think OOO or double would be a great starting season
lot's of toys to sell and a mix and match toy that is simple and enjoyable for kids
Double would do great
I'd say Fourze would be more newbie friendly honestly. It's more like an anime than other seasons, but I also think OOO and double would work as well!
I could see Fourze being set in a Riverdale-like school, but the Rider is from 90210 or Saved by the Bell. (EDIT: or a Rider from a Dan Schenider show, minus the feet)
This is probably a hot take, but I'm not really interested in a Kamen Rider adaptation in the style of Power Rangers. I'm rather interested in localizing the series to a Western fanbase, NOT splicing action footage with new actors. We need to be focusing on bringing official subtitles, dubbing, or creating an American-exclusive hero to the Kamen Rider franchise. Localizing is the step in the right direction.
A lot of new fans of Power Rangers aren't aware of Super Sentai or even interested in the show. This is why I feel the Power Rangers adaptation method shouldn't be a step because we need to engage new viewers with the original content.
Just look at the Ultraman Franchise currently nowadays. They're not using the Power Rangers method and succeeded in localizing the Ultraman Series to a broader international market. Quite recently, Ultraman Z is going to get an English dub with several popular Western Voice Actors. Kamen Rider has made attempts to localize, but it appears to be a slow and incredibly bumpy process which I hope does improve in the better future. Kamen Rider should be popular as Kamen Rider.
From what I've seen, and my own personal want, dub is not the way to go.
We've all heard the argument dub vs sub. It's usually about 50/50. But live action dub vs sub is skewed heavily towards sub.
@@maxlee8780 As a Sub person, I'm not going to frequently gatekeep Dub people.
There are legitimate arguments why people use dubs like being feasible for individuals with dyslexia and people enjoy hearing things in a language they actually speak.
I'm saying both Sub and Dub should be an option, not or and not one over the other.
@@BaronDX I'm not trying to gate keep dub. I actually misread your comment, I thought you were saying dubbing not subbing. Like you were looking down on subbing.
@@maxlee8780 Dub isn't perfect by any means, but it's infinitely superior to an adaptation in just about every way.
@@Peasham Disagree, hard. Seeing someone speak another language, but hearing English irritates me so much. With cartoons or non-human characters you can get away with it. When it comes to live-action humans, it's so obvious
Kamen Rider Fourze would be a great adaption!
I've talked with friends about this for years and my first pick no second thoughts would be ooos, as it's simple to adapt with a strong message light cast on riders to gauge the interest of viewers and a mythos that could be followed, I'd then move to either wizard or ghost then do build or 01
Dragon Knight was one of those situations where it was aired on Nicktoons--the place where Nickelodeon sticks shows that isn't their own programming--on top of anime like Dragon Ball Z kai and other stuff? Yeah, that and the commercials at the time were... well there really wasn't advertising for it.
I know this is an old comment, but Dragon Knight didn’t air on Nicktoons, it aired on The CW4Kids, which also aired DBZ Kai so that might be where your confusion is coming from
I don't think Kamen Rider needs to be adapted like I think they should add subtitles and release them on DVD and Blu-Ray (like they are now) but also put them on streaming services but if it did get adapted I'm hoping for Wizard
0:58, CW channel was literally the culprit. They just didn't give any chances to Kamen Rider DK and gave it...little advertising as possible.
1:03, DK was ahead of its time is true but still cool.
1:56, they skipped over Rider 2 and Riderman (despite the fact that the both 1 and 2 are on SCREEN and Rita Repulsa was clearly Japanese in MMPR but they went with it. I dunno why they didn't dub over Riderman tbh.)
Shin - J could possibly work in the modern era considering how much detail they have and they can pass off as something out of an American movie but whoa..that's gonna be another story though it could work. We just need to do the same thing for those 3 like we did with Dragon Knight. It's just that it might work in a Netflix special. Kinda.
4:50, Awwww. T_T Guess I won't be able to experience that KR Hibiki adaptation where it's like Gravity Falls but with Kamen Rider.
6:05, with Gaim...you can do the same thing like how Gen did it...tie it to the Greek myths.
Or just have the story with a cold opening and be like Stan Lee's Green Lantern interpretation where multiple things were made before the dawn of time: ruclips.net/video/w0K-Ak-MAGA/видео.html
I feel both Gaim and Faiz can both work as adaptations due to the nature of their enemies being tied to Greek myths or better yet, ancient civilizations far more older than the Earth itself. This would have allowed future stories such as new seasons so maybe the Orphenochs can evolve into either Imagins or Worms, etc. Something to play around. Considering the nature of evolution for Orphenochs and plants, them turning into other monsters as a US thing would make a lot of sense.
6:47, I am scaring you with the MASK!!
12:07 POWER RIDER FUSION!! XD ruclips.net/video/07H_iMhrXwk/видео.html&pp=ygUScG93ZXIgcmlkZXIgZnVzaW9u Karn...your work will never stop.
I'd love to see an adaptation of Build, man.
13:58, Zi-O sans Tsukuyomi, is possibly the most confusing shit ever.
Hit em with a curveball! Hit em with amazons
Showa or Heisei version?
@@shadowclaw7210 use the fight scenes of Heisei with the plot of Showa
Power Rider Build will push the STEM fields into the forefront of popular Karatebugman Culture. :D
Most viewers that don't know much about the original adaptations wouldn't tell the difference between the Japanese footage versus the American.
It's the language barrier that they can't understand
Hi Marcos.
I am a huge Fan of your videos and you have turned me on to a lot of great riders and toku in general.
I think Kabuto, kiva and wizard would do pretty well here. I would be watching
Gaim would be hard but not impossible. Thanks for everything you do.
Personally, if you had to adapt Heisei Riders, I would start with Zi-O. I figure it could lean into the older footage of other shows by having the main character find out about the past Riders and the focus episodes for other seasons could be brief looks at what their story was like. Then, you could find out which ones had the most interest and adapt them from the perspective of the Zi-O cast watching recordings of their story.
Personally, I'd go for Kiva.
The last thing I've watched pre pandemic is zi o and as a convoluted as it is, i don't think it's that complex for an adaptation, Sure, You can miss some quick nods here and there but Zi-O also explained alot of things like ALOT OF THINGS,
I think for the adaptation it would work as a introduction for the future adaptations and Zi-O be like a Woz+Decade like character where he would be a reoccurring character throughout future adaptations because he's some kind of "Dimension Keeper" and as a i said, Woz like character where he would act like woz throughout future adaptions.
For the armor time aka gimmicks, I can see it be explained as using powers of the future adaptions rider keeping the theme of his character.
The plot could be all about introducing future adaption riders, Teasing some glimps of future plots while not giving away too much, Just like Zi-O
This might sound odd but....how about starting from the beginning?, as in the original Double Riders, use all the suits & props from FIRST&NEXT and then expand from that, it perfectly bridges between bulk-reusing Toei footages, and making an all new rider show just for the west, in that you don't need to create your own original rider, but you also got to make most of the show from scratch
I think another issue with Dragon Knight not really launching it at the time, Decade came out around the time we got dragon knight. Folks behind it may have thought the series was gonna lean more into older season referemces after that, and didn't wanna risk another forced "these are a bunch of other riders that came before this" scene, like in masled rider, especially since we got Ryuki before any other Heisei
If u ask me there’s more potential in bringing kamen rider overseas by introducing the franchise thru the anniversary series and maybe anniversary movies like first it could do an episode of decade and when that episode is set in another series universe it after that episode or arc could then show an episode or 2 of the series it was set in each time plus after that there could documentary’s on the franchise to give a wider perspective on kamen rider tokusatsu in general
That’s not gonna work
@@KhanhNguyen-mh5ec adaptation isnt exactly working anymore since power rangers is currently in the process of dying
@@brycewinton5618 And neither is your suggestion.
@@KhanhNguyen-mh5ec there isn’t exactly evidence of what your saying regardless besides if anime without western medaling can become main stream so can tokusatsu at this point
@@brycewinton5618 Right...Except you know it doesn't. Why because "why should I watch bootleg Power Rangers?" from the ignorant majority
I remember having a disscussion with some KR fans in VR Chat and they thought that OOO should be first because of its gimmicks and would be well in the market department. I do however agree that Build should be first because it is solid enough to be a starter. Maybe after Bulid they can go for OOO or Wizard, then EX-Aid or Zero-One, and so and so.
Double might be interesting. Make it even more film noir hardboiled detective inspired would be hella cool.
1:52 - I AM SO CONFUSED
Okay, about the Showa-era Riders:
- It’s possible to use the *plot* premise of the original and V3, *but* use the costumes from the 2000s revival movies and this year’s Shin Kamen Rider. No footage blending.
- if I had to pick one Rider series for Western adaptation, it’d be W. Urban setting, corporate villainy characters, a contrast and conflict between the two main protagonists for major character development. (And if they could shoot some exteriors in Chicago it’d be awesomesauce.)
2:09 - Yeah and wasn't Ryuki at a slightly higher fps?
8:24 - Oh goddammit Toei >8 (
11:23 - Oh hell yes I'd love to see Build be adapted! Maybe even try to make it a cheeky Spider Man derivative to maximize appeal, lord knows he has the colors for it and the main protag is a scientist XD
I think they should adapt the reiwa era riders
I believe faiz could work applying the "half in the present, half in the past" idea kiva went for. the older footage for the past, new scene for the present, with bonus for the jet slider fight from the faiz vs delta, then a new model in the present. deno has enough material to get a whole serie out, altho it would require extensive rewriting around the main character
W would absolutelly work, with much less work than many others and it's also very immediate in it's baseline concept. zero one would work very well, especially as a second season, and geats as well. fourze could work, but it would need a bigger scope, as in from a single school to a whole 'campus-for-high-quality-students". I agree with build being a lot applicable. even without the specials it's very well self contained, but I would really go with adding the grease film. from there, rider generation would work with the idea of "this is a multiversal setup". ghost would work as later season, with the switch from "heroic souls" to "historical giants", maybe adding some of the other eyecons designed for the film, even just as one-episode things.
revice suffers from "reference to unknown", but cutting straight to barid rex could resolve some of the problems, as it would remove most of the 'anniversary' feeling from it
Drive is out. with how "copaganda" absolutely murdered LuPat, it would kill him as well, even with how the scene direction just works thought the whole thing
and for as much as I love ex-aid, after the full on bullshit that monster energy drink pulled the last couple of weeks, I can expect some dumbass coming out with "taddle quest is a game I did in '18" and get things nasty for the production
ok so the whole having to be the groundwork and later saying oops we changed the theme is easy to fix
rider hand off
like
with supersentai
I would do this. Start with the 2018 series and go backwards which means kiva would be the last series. If you’re going just based on the crossover‘s. Then, I would adapt the Heisei generations, forever movie or the Kiva and Deno movie would introduce Dan oh, and then he would be the last one to adapt. And then may be introduced Heisei generations after that to introduce the final couple of Riders? I don’t know.
Fourze is already so American. I mean it's in a high school and already has the breakfast club, group made of people in different cliques thing going on.
They need the buy shows and then as motor cycles back in since there is no barrier to advitize them in the west.
What about a few hard core fans simply deciding to create an all new original story and suits for a fan made solo Super Rider or Masked Rider series?
There's a part of me that thinks that Western adaptations failed because they didn't really adapt any starting off points of either era like Kamen Rider (1971) or Kamen Rider Kuuga (I know there are others issues, like the CW, this is just a tiny part) so I think Zero-One should be the one to get adapted first rather than anything before or after it. budget or infinite budget.
Can't really decide on a good adaptation but here's some titles I might consider if they adapt any of the heisei series' (keep in mind they're gonna be hella crappy)
Kuuga: Power rider warrior
Agito: Power rider frontline
Ryuki: Power rider dragon
Faiz; Power rider 5
Blade: Power rider blade
Hibiki: Power rider devil
Kabuto: Power rider swarm
Den-O: Power rider track
Kiva: Power rider vamp
Decade: Power rider deca
W: Power rider spliced
OOO: Power rider orb
Fourze: Power rider astro
Wizard: Power rider warlock
Gaim; Power rider citrus
Drive: Power rider steer
Ghost: Power rider phantom
Ex-aid: Power rider console
Build: Power rider construct
Zi-o: Power rider stopwatch
Yeah I had really bad ideas. Sorry m8s
Edit:
Reiwa adaptations:
Zero one: Power rider coded
Saber: Power rider brave
Revice: Power rider extinction
Geats: Power rider magnum
I think Kamen Rider can be adapted as Power Rangers or even Dragon Knight did, of course if the people in charge care enough about what they're selling. I kinda disagree that the likes from Kiva and beyond would look old in comparison to newer footage filmed rn. Probably the best counter argument to those cases are the Blu-Ray releases. Not to mention that many times, a bit of editing and color correction to enhance the footage can actually go a long way to make a watchable product (I've done my fair set of experiments to know).
I myself would avoid the likes of anniversary seasons. Decade, Zi-O, Revice. Or alternatively, I wouldn't mind seeing takes on later showa era Riders like ZO, J and Black. Even Showa Riders from the Heisei Era like The First and The Next wouldn't be bad options either. One thing I would like to see tho if companies would go the extra mile, is to give new spins to either side Riders from a specific season. Which brings me to my shameless promotion here, when I was thinking of this alternate adaptation for Kamen Rider Ryuga. I released my unfinished take here:
ruclips.net/video/aYbRlOXar9g/видео.html
I would say Drive, Ex-aid, Build or Zero-One. W might also work as well as Saber.
Fourze i think would work the best if they kept the school theme.
Just stay away from Decade, Zi-O (anniv. seasons with lots of previous riders) and Revice (since most of the Vistamps are also based on previous riders).
And stay the F away from Gaim...DO NOT TOUCH GAIM!!!
Agreed with Reiwa being a good starting point
We might get see third adaptation season for Kamen Rider or maybe new name Power Rider!!!, but wish season???
My money will allways be on kuuga or agito
It's absolutely insane how Power Rangers broke the idea of Toku in america. I think Kamen Rider kinda doesn't work too good for the Rangers approach because how often the suits are used during normal scenes. Probably the easiest way is to work with Toei and make an American original rider and use it as a stepping stone to helping the very poor attempts to push Kamen Rider in America and Europe. All they'd need to do is rope in one of the many Toku nerds in Hollywood and set the terms.
If they ever want to finally adapt Kamen Rider.
I think the best start is literally Zero-One.
It the starting point of Reiwa and would work best to start up anything they wanted.
Yep. If it's all possible enough, then an Autistic Protagonist for this adaptation can work. However, we gotta be courageously careful about it.
@@maxleon61702 Facts, Aruto being a SURGEON would be a disaster. Maybe make it noticeable, but still subtle. Like, Localized Aruto could find just the weirdest things funny or not be able to sit still at all.
@@MaruyamaYuki_vt my comrade, of course.
i think kamen rider gaim would be perfect for the adaptation in us or the english version
I think kamen rider decade would be a good one he would be a traveler to both masked rider and power rangers just appeared to be a unknown character and mysterious that will put the power rangers on the edge if he a enemy or ally and only appears in fight that the power rangers face villain that they don't know or watching them from far I might even might get hunted by the time force and the Morphin master are the only ones who know his existence and who's he is
Ngl, I would scream in hype if one Power Rangers season led into the Rider adaptation via Decade showing up once, bonus points if the villain sees him and goes "CURSE YOU DECAAAAAADE!"
Maybe it could be the new power rangers footage and they can switch out from karman rider and super sentai
If I am in charge of adapting any Kamen Rider season for the West, then I felt like I can easily go with Zero One. However, to make some things fresh, but uniquely distinct, I felt like an Autistic Protagonist can potentially work of sorts and we need someone with Autism who can really act as a Kamen Rider who is an Autistic Protagonist because of well, some of these ideas can work, as long as if they're done so well in a courageously careful manner.
I think anything w to forward
If they adapt Build they better not do my boy Ryuga Banjo wrong and replace him with a cheesy goody-two-shoe boxer guy. Also, they SHOULD NOT make Build a Tony Stark science jerk-ish Guy or a nerdy scientist
11:36 Kamen Rider Build
Any Heisei Rider show will go adaptation, just say similar to Dragon Knight.
Still awesome tho.
I vote we get Sheldon Cooper to be sento and Justin long for banjo
Try Adapting On kamen Sentai Gorider 👍
kamen rider kuuga would be a great adaption!
They should make Ichigo
just wanna chip in for a bit, hibiki is probably the hardest or outright impossible to adapt, the whole yokai theme which would just fly over the heads of anyone who is not japanese. and i dont think it would sit well with parents cuz the heroes are basically demons.
also, imo, kabuto is the perfect one for an adaptation. The design holds up well enough for decades to come, it is relatively simple enough to maintain say if the production needs to shoot it's own scenes, and the story and lore are easy to be reworked into it's own thing, simple gimmicks for a cheap merch etc.
Zero One, with AI becoming more and more a reality 😬
Back sun
Kamen Rider Fourze but made into an Nickelodeon show sounds like the most obvious adaptation and cursed mindset XD I just for some reason think of the Victorious cast but Fourze. Den-O also seems viable to me because I feel modern standards would really want to sell the dynamic between the main character and the Taros Bros for social media points. Though I'd be sad because an American budget would set the Den-O ost to the side.
I think Saber would work really well and it would be interesting to see another take on it
I believe so too, but I would think people would compare it to power rangers
@@wargegeson8063 Yeah that could definitely happen but it would properly happen with any season
If it were stand alone, my top 5 pick are: W, OOO, Gaim, Drive and Build.
If we were to start a series like Power Rangers, it should start from Zero-One and so on. Considering Reiwa is a new era, it would be better for a Long running adaptation series.
Ex Aid would make a good adaption with the video game theme, Ooos and wizard would be good bets too.
Ex Aid is baller as fuck but sadly American audiences would probably be turned off by the suits
@@themotivatedmaycry9120 thats true, the ex aid suits have this distincly Japanese gamer aesthetic with the eyes and spiky hair that would be a turn off for the western audience.
@@justinarzola4584 it’s a shame because out of the rider shows I’ve seen so far (im a new fan) Ex-Aid actually has my favorite suits
I've always jokingly said that Ex-Aid could be adapted into a VR Troopers revival.
I think if they ever adapted any Heisei kamen rider series from OOO to the reiwa era (skipping Zi-O), they could do final episode cameo appearances for the next kamen rider and show off the new riders powers and gimmicks. That way when the new season is announced people will be excited to see what this new rider series is about
I might start earlier and do W onward then if gain enough popularity and enough money try doing older seasons and make original footage for older rider that way you can save money on essentially retired riders and use that as a way to do things like Anniversary season more possible then just going "here is random range team A that has never been seen on earth."
Hmmmm
To me it looks like zi-o
Ok it's zero one which was my gateway series
What about kamen rider zero one?
I talked about that in the video.
@@Marcosatsu I had noticed that but comment before end of the video and zero one gives me terminator vibe or I robot and thanks for responding to me

@@Marcosatsu and I have been watching Kamen rider zero one and I really like it.
Build, eh? How much did Hawkilles pay you to say that? 😂
For me, it's Fourze. And it almost happened, too.
I think kamen rider build is the most ideal
Geats would be great to change into a gamer game since people in America love elimination games like total drama, although you’d need a good writer to tweak a bit of the story to make it simple but still flow well
Zero one for a nice safe introduction
Revice would be a good continuation choice since Hollywood seems to really like the venom movie dynamic
Ex aid for a younger audience
I think Ex-Aid would do more harm than good if it was the first one adapted
I loved Dragon Knight, it's what made me look into Kamen Rider in general.
My idea is an animated adaptation/reimagining of kamen rider 1971 with elements of the original manga, novel, kamen rider Spirits, kamen rider v3, kamen rider the first/the next and shin kamen rider 2023
None. In the age of easy access to Japanese and other international media we should not be adapting anything anymore. Back then the reason things were adapted and a lot of anime dubbed was the concept of American kids will not understand Japanese themes. In the age where anime is pretty much anywhere and a lot of young people are exposed to Japanese (even Korean) cultures we should not have to dress up their media with an American culture just to adapt them. It's better we create our own heroes here originally.
I would say anything from W onwardas*except Zi-o given it's aniversary status)
I also think 01 is the best choice for the Western adaptation of Kamen Rider. The locust theme is a very important identity of Kamen Rider. Using this theme in the first European and American adaptation of the new generation of Kamen Rider can make it easier for European and American audiences to accept other Kamen Rider can also let European and American audiences understand which series they are talking about when Asian audiences say "locust-themed superheroes".
Kamen rider is good dont see a problem here😊
Yeah, I've imagining this in my mind recently and I definitely agree that Build would make a perfect choice for a adaption
I'll be one of those 3 people that enjoyed Hibiki. Almost def nostalgia, it was my second series, I started with Blade and I think I actually watched Hibiki as it aired with Magiranger.
I can hard agree with Build as a good theoretical adaptation. It was already an amazing series, the designs were top notch, the setting not being modern Japan helps with locations. As long as they could edit out the formulae going across the screen during a lot of Build's finishers and transformations or make it make sense then it would probably me amazing. Again, definitely biased, I'm rewatching the series rn.
Great review
I think Kamen Rider W , because anime . They're trying to get it over here .
Why the hell would any Fuuto PI fans watch an adaptation with completely different characters and story?
If you want to use Ghost, you need to switch out a few souls for recognizable ones and make an entirely new Tesla form, no Edison praise in America
Problem. Tesla is the monster of the weak
I will be honest with you. I love Kamen Rider, and I want to make adaptations of when my favorite seasons from one of them. I think in the future I think I might get a chance to do one because I’m going to be a film Director very soon, maybe if I get a shot.
W could do for a possible adaptation, there's a smaller cast to work with for the heroes and major villains. And it works with the monster of the week formula for more character focused stories
American adaptation? Definitely Kamen Rider Black. In the manga, most of the adventures took place in foreign countries and two of the main supporting characters are Americans. The plot is a mix of adventure, action and thriller. Do the math 😂
I think Gaim could be a good choice.
I have a few notes for such.
Blade, kabuto or build
I can see kamen rider drive being adapted
I have always had this thought In my mind In my opinion zero one is the perfect candidate for the power rider title it's motif is perfect for a starter. Build could work as a sequel series
To be honest, I don't want Kamen Rider to be adapted at all.
I can't understand this obsession with adaptations. They haven't been necessary for decades and if a foreign studio genuinely wanted to make something with one of these properties they'd make something original. 4kids is dead for a reason.
So which series would you like to see adapted?

If you watch the Super Senati and the Power Ranger scene in a split screen type situation, you can actually see that the Super Senati scene that was later used for Power Ranger are colour tuned to match the originally filmed Power Ranger scenes. I'm not exactly sure if it's the original Power Ranger shot footages that are color tuned to match the Super Sentai footage or the other way around.
One thing I don’t see is ultraman adaptions, since Ultraman is getting more known worldwide thanks to the anime, and the episodes they release of the recent season on their RUclips channel, and have now started doing dubs with voice actors from the anime industry. I think if we were to adapt an Ultraman series I’d start off with Ginga S ( sequel series of ginga) and ultraman shows last up to 25 episodes so include their movies as episodes
7:05 you didn't explain how using the reiwa riders would fix this issue. Each Reiwa season is different from each other. Even build would have this problem.
I think it would be cool if in PR lore kamen rider was a super hero in Japan that was inspired by power rangers so to the best of kamen riders ability it tries to be a power ranger. So I think the most technological rider would be best
I think Kabuto is a good choice. But if that's out, I might have to go with other people's choices like Zero-one or Build.
I still stand by Ex-Aide or Geats. The modern gaming scene is a huge market, so more kids wanna watch shows about video games.
I say Geats is a better canadate. Remember when Ex Aid was first adapted and everyone moan and wine that the suit is ugly?
@@KhanhNguyen-mh5ec fair, but the modern American child wouldn't have a sense of what looks bad for Kamen Rider
@@potahtwah9591 They have a sense of what looks bad in a armor hero suit
They also stuck with the zyuranger suits because the Gosei suits were essentially unusable when they arrived in the states. So they didn't have much of a choice. You know they would have gone with new suits if they could since that would lead to new merch and saving money on production since they wouldn't have to film new scenes.
No leave them outside american
There's only four shows that I think would be fine for American audiences that could represent a typical Kamen Rider series- W, OOO, Build, Zero One. These shows quality would be suitable, have interesting gimmicks, and still stay true to the bug man motif with its helmet designs. Shows like Drive, Exaid, Saber, and Revice would also be fine but they stray away from typical Kamen Rider tropes- in design, storyline, and sometimes characters.
Lot of kamen rider fans want kamen rider build make adaptation in West
I actually agree with your choice, I thought so when Build started
You know I think the fear of an anniversary season is kind of silly.
I think the best Seasons to do an adaptation for is the anniversary seasons decade and Zio. Instead of spending a single season on either one, let the story last three seasons and introduce all the other Riders that you don't want to capitalize on later.
I hear so many stories of people watching Megaforce but wanting more. So they found Gokaiger and that's how they started their Sentai Journey.
I know people are going to say but Power Rangers had all this history behind it. The point is a lot of people didn't know it. Even the new powers which nobody thought made sense, they created an opportunity for them to be fleshed out in the comics. Obviously that was unintentional but it happened nonetheless.
If it is true that the rights to a season are THAT pricy, then I think that they should negotiate the rights to the name and make an original season / seasons. Establish what KR is throughout maybe one or two seasons with the same cast, and then think about the next move.
It's probably a nuts idea. Maybe it's because I want the (third and hopefully final) introduction of Kamen Rider in the west to be a bug man in a motorcycle.
hot take here, they could easily make saber a power ranger season settled in the mystic force universe
