I am proud to be a fan of both Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series. I am now halfway finished with Megaranger along with Tsunaraya’s Ultraman Dyna from 1997.

Yeah like imagine having an "international YT channel" and only put a few first episodes and even copystrike themselves.

Toku community need to aware and educate more that Tsuburaya is a "single company" that produced all their IP while Toei SS/KR is a sub IP from a big company Toei. So its not easy just to stream it for overseas fans. Plus this is not just a problem for Toei SS/KR contents, other companies who produced weekly dramas/series (not toku related) also have the same problem to distributed for overseas fans.
Only TBS company so far that have the capability to stream on netflix and that's probably because of higher demands from all wider overseas fans while toku is more niche side, so its very hard for them to just stream it. I mean look at One Piece, it took them to make a live action series first to grab more audiences from overseas for toei animation to release it on netflix.

2033 is probably when the exclusivity deal with TV Asahi expires. They can only stream KR and SS through them and prevents Toei from simulstreaming anything outside the Japan

Interesting take and very could be the reason. It would explain why their IP's are kept under lock and key so tightly.

While Super Sentai releases have slowed a bit, it still seems like we're getting more from Kamen Rider with Geats getting recently released by shout factory and even Metal Heroes and showa-era Kamen Rider from Discotek. But it is hard to match how much more accessible the Ultra Series is! It feels like Tsuburaya has been putting forth a lot of effort into making Ultraman known with big pop culture convention campaigns, too and being much more lenient on content creators who spread the word about them through react videos and reviews.

For sure. Kamen Rider seems to most open of the Toei IP's but even then it's not a consistent release schedule. I'd love to have the option to get a legal and fully subbed Blu Ray of Saber. Tsubaraya is really taking advantage of the market and trying to get him everywhere. My hope is someday Toei can make similar moves. I hope one day to be getting the new Super Sentai weekly like Ultraman.

I am embarrassed on behalf of Toei for how amazingly well Tsuburaya is spreading Ultraman around the world. It’s so strange. Supposedly Toei's hands are ties because of licensing issues. Anyone know anything about that?

It's tough to say. I've always wondered why Toei often seems to be against allowing western audiences to have access to their catalogue. They pulled the plug on Shout Factory Super Sentai releases, had TV Nihon remove their fan subs, and yet offered no alternative. It's clear that Toei is very guarded of it's IP's yet Tsuburaya is trying to give the public as much access as possible. I find the juxtaposition between the two companies fascinating.

@@jackson9591 Meh, TV-Nihons attitude is more than enough reason to sink their ship. Not to mention, actually Translating helps. Especially when showing the shows to people who DON'T understand some of the basic Japanese words, or have editors notes for stupid shit. Instead of "Editor note Okasan means Mom."
Like for stuff that gets lost in translation.. I get it, it can be hard. But for shit that has literal one to one translations, just translate those words. I don't care if you THINK "Ore, Sanjou!" looks cooler.. It still effing means "I have arrived."
Also I'll never forgive Nihon's just general attitude that they are the best and never question them.
