    Plus singers like to tilt head up and back up when loudness goes up, so its nice to tilt the mic to kinda smooth the response out.. Or at least that's how i see it.. :)

    Your videos are AWESOME and really quite informative. This one was more of a review for me but helpful nonetheless. Quick question though . . .regarding tube mics, I feel like it was disproven that the orientation of the mic affected the heat disbursement or temperature of the capsule itself, meaning that position had none or negligible effect on the quality of what the mic captured? I'm trying to source this to remember where I read it. Thoughts?

      It has less to do with the quality of the recording, and more to do with your breath turning into condensation on the capsule, causing the capsule to accumulate rust over time. Even if it is negligible, I still like the mic upside down because it keeps the stand out of the way better.

    BTW.. What mic u recommend for pairing up with a SM57 or Sennheiser e609, when recording a guitar cab? I need to get a softer/warmer mic to complement.. Thanx..

    • @MusicTechHelpGuy
      @MusicTechHelpGuy  6 лет назад +1

      My favorite is an SM57 and a Royer R122

      @@MusicTechHelpGuy Thanx man.. I was thinking budget! Im thinking in the same price range as the mics mentioned. Thanx again ..

      @@MusicTechHelpGuy Not trying to stress u out but, got any budget ideas?

    • @MusicTechHelpGuy
      @MusicTechHelpGuy  6 лет назад +1

      Royer R121? Lol, just kidding. I have a budget Se X1R ribbon mic that sound pretty good, as a cheap substitute. Really any ribbon mic with a larger ribbon will work great as a warm mic to compliment the SM57.@@Trackformers
