Thank you for planning, recording, re-recording, setting up the singers, the resources and the time to teach us all of this useful information. I am starting to learn from scratch and if it wasn't because of your beginning to end video series I would still be searching endlessly on the interwebs finding a solid source of beginners crash course on Logic pro X. Thank you again!!
dude !!! I can't stop watching your videos !! I love how you always repeat everything so we can memorize them !!
So much useful info. Thanks, Josh. I know the vid is 5 years old, but I still come back for a refresher. Bill
been watching your videos for about two years now and still referencing back for our latest EP release, thanks for all your videos ♥️
"WERE LOOOOOOSING GROOOOOUNDDDDD" is burned into my head lol. Wow tho, thank you so much for a great tutorial man. I love your videos!
There are so many different methods of mastering, thank you for sharing yours ! (it's even useful for orchestra !)
I loved the 101 and the 201 series. Are you planning to do a 301? That would be great!!
Amazing series, I watched all of them. You are an amazing teacher, thank you for sharing your knowledge!
It was amazing! I watched all of them! Thanks a lot! Greetings from Brazil.
Thank you so much for these tips, it helps way too much to expand your mix and masterize it in a simple an useful way!
Josh thank you immensely for your content. Really love your style and presentation.
Nice video. I'm still using your master techniques and setting from your video from 5 years ago. I love the ad limit. That really does the trick. I'll have to start using the linear eq now.
Great production course. I like the mid-side use of Linear Phase EQ on the master channel. Very educational. Thx.
Thank you so much! I've never really known how to mix or master properly, but now I do! I remember around 2 years ago I was making a parody of a song, and my music teacher helped mix it a bit but then suggested the older logic series on your channel but I never quite got around to watching them. now that I have I'm really glad I did
Outstanding video, man, as always. Plan to grab your full course very soon. Really well conceived and presented.
Such a wealth of information in this entire series! Thank you!
This was a completely awesome course. Thank you so much, Josh!
Thank you so much for this amazing amazing course! You're the best!!! Will give you lots of credit when I'm on top :)
Great work! I repsect the time you put into these videos. Thank you!
The entire course was great, thank you so much!
Great series. Super instructive
IMA BUY THE COURSE!!! Your doing a great job here!
Thanks! the full course will be up in a couple hours. I'm just finishing rendering everything without the ads. The multi-track is already up though.
THANKS!! Big Up from Italy!
Thank you for the amazing lessons.
Really enjoyed the course so far. I think the vocal effects are a little beyond me at present but I’m certainly gonna practice creating something similar.
I always learn something new on your sessions
Logic user manual in human form! Oh, and with a masters degree in music. 👍🏻two thumsies👍🏻
thanks for all you're the best
This series was so amazing ill prob try to make my own electronic song, something i never imagined myself doing before.
Thanks alot man, i already see myself coming back for knowledge on future projects!
I think there is lack of Vocal mixing though.. especially on the reverb and delay.. Whereas the beat tracks are dope. Well-mastered one! Great job!
Hey man thanks so much!!!!! your video is so clear so easy to fallow I really appreciate it.
Dope series
Thanks for all bro!
Thanks for all your videos, I've been watching them for 2 years now. Are you planning to launch the 301 series? Looking forward to it! Kind regards from Argentina.
Time to make this track slam!
many thanks for all Video!!!!!!!
Great tutorial! Any chance you might do a Mastering video for a full album or more than one song? Can't seem to find a lot of information out there on that
Cheers man 🤘🏽
Excellent!
Initially you mentioned about 301 and 401 series... what about that?
Great video
thanks alot.
You didn’t use any compressor on the master, why? Also, where your mixing and mastering sessions using the same plugins in the master out channel? I’m asking because you’ve mixed and mastered in the same session. Excellent tutorial BTW. Thanks
Not everything needs to be compressed. Like I said at the beginning of the series, with electronic music a lot of the mixing, arranging and composing is all sort of fused into one long process. It’s not cut and dry like rock music for example.
Amazing.
This guy managed in 30mn to teach me some great things and even slowly tattoo this commercial crap song in my head for the rest of my life :D
Thank for this!
Top info.
Awesome!
What can I do if I follow all of these steps but my master still is quieter than other popular songs of the same genre?
Thanks!
how would you import, set up and arrange this is you were to master multiple tracks as an album? Then how would you bounce all the tracks separately? thanks
hi there! great tutorial! whats the name of the track you using for this class??
Losing Ground. ruclips.net/video/qC9X0VewIXI/видео.html
Awesome series man, do you think you'll ever do one with a rock song?
For the 301 I was thinking of tracking a rock song start to finish
@@MusicTechHelpGuy That would be incredible, already looking forward to it!
Question: The output levels are peaking... Does that any impact?
The output levels are not clipping. The meters are at the top yet, but they are not clipping/peaking. You would see a clip light show up at the top if it's clips. The top of Logic's meters are just red, it's not an indication of clipping.
Dope
At 23min 45 sec you have the master fader as an audio track. How do I pull that up? Thanks. This video has been so helpful!
Right click on the master fader in the mixer, and choose 'create track'. This creates a track for the master fader or an aux track as well, in the arrange area.
@@MusicTechHelpGuy Thank you!
Thanks, ;-)
Here is my new piece made by using all the best tips I learnt from this amazing course. I can't thank you enough for your support!

Cool
please tellll me howwwwww when all the world is looooooost!!
Awesome job on the track! Not really impressed with the plug ins though. They're good, but none of them sound AMAZING to me really. I guess I'm just used to Waves, UAD, and Antares.
Since vocals are my thing I have to say they sound over produced. That digital, woofy, and muddy sounding "flex-time & tuning" plug in you're using doesn't sound natural to me at all. Even when auto tune is overdone at least it's clean and metallic and doesn't make the consonants sound weird like this one does etc. Can't stand that. It reminds me of a bad pitch correction plug in from the 90's. But to each their own.
That, and the vocals are over comped so they lost their natural continuity. I'll drag left or right for small timing fixes, but I never time stretch a phrase, even to match harmonies to the lead. Used to be because I just didn't have the ability, but now it's by preference. But this is electronic music so....??
I couldn't ever get used to that mic and pre sound you're getting either. It might be a nice set up but It just sounds so bland and "run of the mill" on this end compared to what I know we can create with the right stuff for pretty cheap. Reminds me of the thousands of tracks I've heard come out of home studio "00" pro tools rigs, or non musical run of the mill interfaces that just never shine. It does the job I guess.
But having said that...I watched all of your videos and fully respect you and your abilities. Some of the programmed stuff you put together here really kicks ass. That's where your talents shine the most, aside from being extremely well versed on everything you talk about. With the time and effort you put into this and the knowledge you have on making music and mixing, you're brill! Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
