I cannot tell you how many times this video has saved my life lol. Extremely helpful
You have created an absolutely brilliant guide for new and developing users of Logic. The sheer amount of detail and knowledge that you have imparted is so much appreciated. It is very apparent that you are a highly capable and skilled musician, but your presentation and teaching style is equally impressive. Well done and thank you again - just superb!
Of all the time I’ve spent on RUclips, this has been the most gainful. This has transformed my mixes HUGELY. I came so close so many times, but your illustration of the multi press or was transformative in clearing up mud in my mix. All the strings and midrange instruments have their own space. I was able to increase reverb as a result. Thank you!
Hi from one of your biggest fans! I just wanted to tell you that watching this series FINALLY helped me understand the difference between production, mixing and mastering. I just re-recorded, re-mixed and re-mastered a song of mine and I cannot tell you how your instruction took my work to a new level. My kids are my harshest critics, but when they heard this remaster they just stood there speechless and said, Wow .. that's really good. And I have MusicTechHelpGuy to thank! That you do this for us hobbyists is just such a gift. Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! (Can send you a link to this latest song if you are interested in how you work is inspiring others like me!)
I'm interested in hearing new music spam the link
WOW!!!! What a tutorial. Can't even begin to explain how helpful this is to me as a total novice on FCPX. I was part of a studio some 30 years ago and coming back to music at this time of age is just awesome, what a world. And then finding Music TechHelpGuy is a blizz. Bought the session files as soon as I saw them being available. You explain on a perfect level, not to deep and not to simple either, easy to revisit a session in case you missed or did not understand a part. I can't wait for 201 series to start hitting the air. Good work and job well done.
Thank You!!!
That guitar solo, man
Love your tuts - thakn you! @3:00 - for anyone else who took a while to discover this automation trick: If you SET your volumes 1st, then open automation track [A] - select your "Volume > Absolute", THEN click into it to activate the track. AFTER repeat process but this time "Volume > Relative" - use THIS to automate. It will auto adjust whenever you change your volume apramenter. Pressing play will start the autoamtion track RELATIVE to where you CURRENTLY set the volume fader :)
Your video is being a Gift across the globe. Although I'm a different language user, when I watched your video once, I was wholly fascinated to your clear instruction.
At that time, I could only read english text, not listen. So, I decide to skill up my Eng Listening in order to watch you video. and by the time I finished this 101 course, I'm feeling like I'm a bilingual person.
My dream is, to become popular in music (someday), and have a conversation with you about music:)
I just spent 6 hours following along with this series mixing a song I recorded live with my band Cadillac Jackson and it has changed my whole damn life. Thanks man!!
This series convinced me to make a Patreon and contribute to your channel. There was no way I couldn’t after the amount of learning I did with these. Thank you for spreading your knowledge ✊🙏
Thank you so much for making this. I just finished the whole series and man the way you structured these videos and how knowledgeable and thorough you were really helped me understand this stuff as a beginner. Much respect !
I just watched through all of this and I have to say one thing. THANK YOU!!! I've learned more about Logic and the entire process in these 101 sessions than I've ever learned in the past 10 years of trying. And... the song kicks ass. I can't go back and redo everything I've done in the past. But I will be doing things a lot differently going forward. Rock on, Josh.
Thanks so much for these videos man. I've been an advanced ProTools user for years, but have struggled with navigating the basic features of Logic. I spent the last couple weeks watching this series and it has been an amazing help. Really appreciate you!
I got hold of Logic 10.4 at the beginning of lockdown. I can't thank you enough for this series. It & you have been invaluable to me, as I stumble my way through. I will certainly revisit certain sessions (there's allot to take in), and look forward to the 201 series. You are a fantastic communicator. Much appreciated
I love using your videos as a guide for when I mix/master. Whenever I feel like I need some help with fundamentals or simply need to brush up on stuff regarding small details, it’s so easy to get information from these videos. Thank you so much man!
Beautiful!....the 12 videos were well laid out.
You have a FANTASTIC singing voice my dude 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This whole 101 course has been really informative and enjoyable. I've been playing and gigging for a long time now but had always shied away from music production until now. This is a great beginners course and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about Logic. Good work! JF
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC 101 series. Thank you so very much for taking the time to instruct so clearly. As just a beginner in Logic with a heavy 80’s heavy metal/rock music preference, the series together with your music taste made this a great program! Keep rockin’!
You sir, are a beast. Just finished your 101 series, it has helped me out tremendously! you are extremely efficient and fluent with this program and teaching really. Thank you!
I love your videos!! They've really helped me improve my recording, mixing, and mastering skills using Logic Pro X. I really appreciate you, Thank You very much!!
Thank you so much bro! You're amazing. I learned a lot of things and used them to my ear for a test recording. That sounded amazing! I can't wait to use the techniques that I learned from you in my new cover.
Thanks for your videos, I am an aging listener trying to do something with music, I am inspired by the music of the early 1970's
The series. Were. Helpful. Keep up the online education
Thank you so much! I was struggling with Logic but thanks to you I understand how powerful it is and that I need to be patient and methodical. Your teaching method is really clear, simple and enjoyable to watch. I can't believe how long it must have taken you to learn Logic but to then share that knowledge is awesome. Great musician too! Please keep up the good work.
Your A SuperStar, EyeOpener. Many Thanks. I'm not into this type of Rock, i was still glued. good teachers keep you interested.
This was a great series...it helped a lot! I took notes on each one and will be referring back to these and checking out more of your Logic stuff. Many thanks!
Another amazing tutorial. You're my go-to channel. Thank you so much for those videos!!!!
Really thankful to you to help me get clued up about concepts of recording, mixing & mastering....I m applying these to everything from iPad garage band to Logic Pro X..:)
Thank you for taking the time to create this series. Amazing and extremely well done.
An excellent tutorial. Lots of good, practical info and no unnecessary chit chat. Love it!
Just wanted to say a big thank you for the work that you put into this series. I have paid for a few other courses on Udemy and this RUclips tutorial is top notch. Awesome job dude and thank you again from someone working hard to learn the ins and outs of Logic Pro. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much for making these videos! I feel as though I have a solid basic understanding of how to go thru the entire production/recording, mixing/mastering process. Your videos were very clear and you explained everything thoroughly w/ a professional attitude. 10/10 would recommend to those new in Logic. Looking forward to watching your other videos and being put on to some game. Bless up!
These series are exceptionally good learning material! Thank you for your generosity!
Thank you for this series. It's been extremely helpful. I never focused on mixing and mastering before. You helped me understand a lot of things that I never thought about.
Thank you for this video series,
I just switched over from Pro Tools, and these videos have taught me a lot about Logic Pro X.
Guitar solo= diddly screech!
These videos have been extremely useful. Thank you very much.
LOVE your use of the multi-band compressor, I have never thought about using it like that!
Just competed 101 series. Learned so much so quickly. Can't wait to finish the 200 and 300 series :).
I just recently came across your channel and this is exactly what I was looking for - Highly appreciate the effort and knowledge you put into this, I don't think any university 101 course could teach it better!
Will browse through your other vids as well :)
We all learn at a different rate but the way you teach is like answering all my questions in your reply so I get the message straight away. I learn much faster with you than any other tutor. Your tone of voice cuts through plus your guitar playing is awesome. ..I'm a bassist that wants bob marley bass sound...I'm tell you now it's still a secret as you'll discover if you look into it..hint: I get the sound direct..on protools never on logic....is it the clocking speed.?
Thank you very much for making this video series !! I love all of videos and I love your music !
Your videos are really great ! Your explanations are really clear and relevant ! Thanks lot !
Goat! I just need to remember all this now😭😭
well this song has been stuck in my head for like 4 days now.
Not a bad thing.
Thanks for all the videos!!
Amazing thanks so muchhhh!
Useful series of videos. thanks
Started this video in 2017 to finish in 2018! Great first song of the year.
thanks for all the great videos. I am new to Logic having been working in Protools for 22 years. You helped me get my feet wet. I still prefer protools for recording audio and mixing but Logic is great for all the virtual instruments and loops etc. I will be using both systems from now on and coming back to your videos to refresh my memory. I do not remember you mentioning any of the region processing process, is that similar to AudioSuite in protools. Also I miss the clip gain feature of protools that allows quick volume changes in a region independant of automation.
What a great lesson sir, thank you so very for all the informations you providing with, I learned so much from your channel and just can't thank you enough. Also I really like the song , it's very catchy..job well done sir.
Really great video! And amazing song!
Much appreciated. The best master class so far.
These 101 Series were absolutely awesome! Really really helpful and fun to watch.
I can't wait for the 201 Series! Keep the videos coming 😄
Just finished the whole series. Loved it learned a lot/made me rethink my process despite being a longtime logic user. Not the song or sounds I would reach for but easily the clearest and best logic walkthrough. Took notes on those shortcuts I wasn’t using or remembering to use. Watching the process in a style outside mine was actually more helpful for hearing moves, and I thought the end product was great especially for being all logic (- a free izotope). Looking forward to more learning. Teach!
Thanks a lot !
thx a bunch, was 'bout to scrap logic for protools mixing. your tips were invaluable.
thanks for the amazing tutorial that was really helpful, will definitely watch 201 and 301. wish you all the best
Really enjoyed the series, and found it very helpful. Going to start 201
Dude you’re amazing!! Appreciate you
This is what I'm looking for. Thank you so much.
thanks soooooo much!!! this is insanely helpful my song sounds so much better in only an hour of work! can't wait to learn more about this stuff seriously thank you
Great Tutorial. Keep on rolling. All thumbs up!
I found this video especially helpful! Thanks and great presentation! I have no problem understanding the methods or why you are using them.
Very well done series. I'm new to Logic Pro so this was just what I needed. Thanks!
Great series. Learnt a lot. Many thanks looking forward to further series
22:30 do you use the multi meter instead now being as it has a correlation meter inside as well as lufs and rms meters?
Dude great job. Turned out amazing and I learned so much throughout this series. Thanks for putting so much concise info into all these videos you’ve done.
God bless you more and more
Thank you Josh
This has been a very inspiring and informative series. Thanks for your efforts and Happy New Year!
Great video and series. All of your series have really helped me to mix my tracks from ones that I have posted onto my channel and others I am mixing at home. Thanks for quality videos! I’m sure everyone will agree that there a few people that make such entertaining and yet intuitive videos at the same time.
Thank you so much for all your Videos. They have been a great help to me. Invaluable. Such an excellent teacher. When i have the extra cash i shall be sending you a donation. Thanks again. Peace, love and light.
Thank you for the content alot of insight
Thank's a lot from France. Very nice. Happy new year.
Thanks Josh, I enjoyed your tutorials very much.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge in such a clear and comprehensive way! bravo!
U r best my friend I love this 👌
It's a very nice guideline for the logic pro. Thank you
Thank you!!! Top notch help!
Thank you so much 👍👍👍
Amazingly helpful Thanks a lot
amazing sir
Thanks for a great 101. I wrote a tune and used these tips for the mixing and mastering.Wicked!
Brilliant! Your videos are very much appreciated!
thanks for this awesome series! I’ve enjoyed it and learned a few new things. Even if I for myself keep everything much simpler (or at least always try).
btw, in my opinion the guitars have too much low end. It sounds very boomy on my iMac. I personally like more separation between the bass guitar and the electric guitars. I also like more high frequencies in the bass guitar to make it more „lively“ and to keep some of the string noises. But that’s a matter of taste :).
You are the BEST!!!!
Thanks for everything. I have learned a lot from your channel. pure love
Thanks for the amazing and hard work you made for us.
Once you start doing automations, then you're basically done doing anything with your faders, right? Because at that point anything you do with the fades will get overwritten as soon as the automation happens, right?
Awesome series Josh and Awesome song!! Thanks for the quality videos. :-)
Thank you very much!
u deserve more than 177k subscriber sir!
this is the best on You Tube !
Won’t the stock logic spread plugin do the same thing as the ozone imager??
Thanks Josh
we are waiting on the 201 series. Thank you so much man
thanks man.. i learned a lot!
Great series! Thanks a heap!!
Hi, In creating head room for mastering, why didn’t you use gain reduction on your stereo bus instead of lowering the individual faders? Great series by the way! Thnx
