I am so glad you've made these videos. I've been making my way through the whole series and feel like I'm getting a quality education fast. I've found every minute spent watching these has paid off in a better sound and saved time.
Hi man, congratulations for the video course, undoubtedly the best on youtube! I wanted to ask you a question, how do you record the guitar? do you connect it directly to the sound interface input with the jack?
I love your tutorial series. Can you please explain why you placed the exciter and linear EQ on the summing track, but the reverb was placed on a send to a bus? Who not just place the reverb on that same stack? #confused
How come no compression on rhythm guitars either individually or on the summing stack? Were they compressed whilst recording? I might have missed that if you mentioned it. Or did you just not feel it was necessary?
Question: the techniques used for mixing (for instance in this video, 'real' guitars/bass), are they applied just the same when using the equivalent software instruments? I just use MIDI data for all my guitars and basses. Thanks!
Not a fan of Logic's amp designer at all. I've had much better results using an outboard modeler from Fractal or Kemper, and the Fortin amp plugin suites make Logic's amp designer sound downright shameful.
I'm highly against using outside plugins as they're normally not needed like people think. But with amp sims, it's needed. It's definitely Logic's achilles heal.
Problem #1 is that it’s not a real bass. But I kept it that way at least for demonstration since it’s a 101 course. Normally I’d actually play real bass with an amp and some great mics and pres.

Top Notch organization. Really great clarity in your instruction. I love this series.
Really enjoyed your organization of the rhythm guitar tracks with summing and the aux channel.
Loving these videos, great to see the power of Logic without thousands of dollars worth of plugins :)
Thanks for sharing this is very useful.
This course is fantastic! Thank you very much!
Man these videos have saved me so much time!
2020 watching this video and still helpful as hell!
Good mix
This was soooooo VERY helpful! Thanks a million!
You are the best bro!

Great guide! But my mixes always sound bad. It's really frustrating.

Can i run logic x on mac book air
Yes, you can. I'm doing the same.
I have access to Lynda.com, and yet I prefer your videos. This channel is soooooooooooooo underrated.
Check out MacProVideo or Ask.Video. I work for them, and I have a bunch of stuff on there too if you're interested in full courses.
Logic amps just sound too muffled to me.
Great tutorial! question: when I create a track stack and add the linear eq, my sounds come in delayed as far as timing. what can I do to fix this?
this was posted 2 years ago, if this account is still active, did u find out how to fix it?
Sounds like Metallica’s now that we’re dead

You are a master of logic to be sure. Not happy with your bass sound.
