As a fighting game player I don't think it will be any easier than other fighting games But it will definitely be wayy more popular making every level of player skill more populated ,including the beginner's level
It'll definitely be easier from an entry level perspective. The simpler inputs will allow people to start doing stuff a lot faster, but passed that point it'll be like any other fighting game imo, probably even more sweaty at a high level based on what the folks who got to play it have said.
New fighting game player here. The hardest part for me is definitely commitment. There are so many cool characters and especially fighting games where it's just impossible for me to choose one. And before I know it, woops, the game is dead or has received a sequel... HELP, PLEASE?
After all those vids of Asmon reacting to you I think it's high time you got your turn, you should do some reacts to the FGC content creators explaining how the game works since they have a lot of info from their playtest.
depends, I play mobas, mmos and fighting games so I know really well about fighting games, some people will be in that position as well, while for others which come mainly from League this will be a new experience for them
If there's any company that could pull of a F2P fighting game with this much complexity, it's definitely Riot. Regardless of how hard it may be, there will be enough people so that everyone can play, as long as matchmaking works correctly.
as a fighting game player, i have loved the things i've seen from what they've shown, I really hope you get more into fighting games so that you can experience this game to the fullest because they have said that they are making this game primarily for fighting game fans. if you are interested in fighting games and want to prepare a little before this games release so you can understand what the fighting game community would want or are looking for in this game i recommend you look at some content from Sajam, he's an amazing content creator in the FGC and has really informative videos that help explain some concepts that new players find hard to grasp :)
So from what I gathered it seems to be the love child of MVCI and PRBFTG; So it's prolly easy to get in on, relatively in terms of fighting games, but also really hard to master if you're playing solo (Comes with being a tag fighter; Having to learn 2 characters is hard).
Fighting game players: LOOK AT THESE MECHANICS!!! Necrit: LOOK AT THESE BACKGROUNDS!!!! You'll be a good candidate for a collab with FGC content streamers for training and stuff. Like a Kizzie Kay or a Justin Wong or something.
although i agree the close up is too much but setting to default full screen is a horrible idea, you LITERALLY can't react to moves with quick start up and recovery or moves that cross up in close range
One of the guys who played the game confirmed that Darius has a mechanic called "wounds". Enemy gets afflicted with it when they get hit by the very edge of his axe. it causes a lot of chip damage while enemy is blocking. I'm assuming it also does more damage in combos but I'm not sure.
@@felixorth4727 Sajam is a good one that does it quite succinctly. Maximillian Dood's video is probably clearer if you have no fighting game experience.
I know game still in dev. and would love if Supers/Ult would be more climatic and Epic...Just like Granblue fantasy super looks cool and really Flex their Strongest Abilities... Particle effects on all of them looks samey.. but i know skin would have their unique particles when it comes out..
I have no doubt that kind of stuff will end up being a lot better. I remember some stuff for Strive shown off in trailers and demos that wasn’t anywhere near finished and that was less than a year from release. Considering the fact we don’t have a release date yet I’m sure most things will look different when the time comes.
i do have a similar thought when i saw the ui, i really like it, clean and simple, but i feel like it doesn't scream league. maybe a that but with a touch of lor/lol design? idk how to explain lol
Yeah, a lot of it reminds me of Valorant or a generic "bright color in straight lines on black background for gamers" like Opera GX. It's a very good execution of that concept, though.
Not sure how I feel about the tag system. I just dont think I can follow two enemy champs at the screen at the same time, will make it hard to react to stuff.
And that is by design. Even the different fuses/fusions are built for it. It's why they encourage you to play with a partner, so that they can share in the Mental Stack and save you if you get overwhelmed.
That's tag fighters baby! These games are always pretty grimy and stressful to play, but fun. Some of the stuff that's been shown with how Ekko plays alone is insane.
@@SRN_RL I have not heard of any other fighting game with such a system, but tbh I am pretty new to the genre so I know like MK, Tekken, Street Fighter, Guilty gear and DNF Duel.
@@ayukuro1019 Off the top of my head: The Marvel vs Capcom series (1, 2, 3, Infinite) Skullgirls Street Fighter x Tekken Dragon Ball Fighterz BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle I'm sure there's ones I missed. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, which is another game Clockwork worked on actually.
most likely yasuo, the have a big body, mix up zoner, and gimick character shown here so they need a shoto for the game and sword person is the easiest type of character to implement in a vs game
I can't wait for you to play this. and get WRECKED :D Turns out they built this game for 10 year old vets of fighting games. not for button mashers :( at least its f2p tho :D
Can’t wait for more Necrit misconceptions about fighting games!
Give the guy a break lmao
It's fun
It’s always fun to see folks dabble and fumble around with things they don’t know much. The discovery phase of anything is so magical really.

Riot did well doing Soul Fighter just to promote this
The UI is basically Worlds 2020. Even the giant X is there.
I just hope that we can use RISE, Take Over and other Worlds songs as background music.

I am absolutely loving how little the league community knows about fighting games.

@@symphonixblades guess I should have been more specific about it then, but still hilarious to see his confusion about hitstop and wallbounces.

I like how necrit knows less, because it feels fresh from a newcomer perspective from each genre just like how gacha did him lmao.

Somebody get this man a copy of street fighter 6! He can totally learn the basics there! Worls tour mode and the fighting ground are perfect!
Honestly, it'll be fun seeing you learn and try your best. It's not as hard as people seem but you have to keep your mind open

Ill get so man handled and im rdy for it
Fret not pup. You can get your friend to carry as always in League 😂
The MMO lore introductions were top tier, but I think it'll also be amazing to create one specifically for the FGC community.
Oh yes, the fighting game community community
If Necrit cares enough, he should check out the fgc people that talked about the game mechanics and whatnot
Who would that be? Am a lol player and i actually want to see their thoughts on project L so far :)

Necrit, check Morrigan from Darkstalkers. Ahri's green color is 300% based on her.
we need to get necrit vs a pro smash player on this

You can't get mad at someone for not knowing the terminology. Like we are just as confused by MOBA terms.
