Yeah hell of a comparison the M12 line versus a 20 volt system from DeWalt LOL you're right when they come up with the M18 version especially fuel DeWalt will be knocked right off
First, thank you for doing this! In your discussion at 8:30, I'm wondering why you say it's pretty close between Ryobi and Ridgid, and later put them on par with each other, when the Ryobi times were nearly 2x the Ridgid times. 15 vs 8 and 13 vs 7 are pretty substantial differences. Further, the Ridgid was only 3 seconds slower than the Dewalt (8 vs 5) where the Ryobi was 10 seconds slower (15 vs 5). Am I missing something? Otherwise, it would seem more fair to say that Ridgid was a close 2nd to Dewalt with Ryobi far back in 3rd place with times being 2x the Ridgid and 3x the Dewalt. Again, thanks for all your efforts.
I have the Milwaukee for 4 years now, hard work cutting metal, tile, pvc pipes. Very old now still works like new. It's smaller , can be use inside the pool skimmer or little area. But I'll get this one soon and see if how long it last . Thanks for this video, great job 😀👍

Thanks, yeah people though I was being biased when I released this video. The Dewalt is just that good, ryobi and rigid are definitely better over the Milwaukee hopefully they update it this year. I’m hoping to revisit this later this year. I built a dyno for testing like TTC but I’m using hydraulics to apply load and reading force/rpm.
Thank you for the hard work you do to compare these tools!!! Much appreciated! I'm deep deep in the Milwaukee system with a few dozen of their tools and batteries. Just picked up a dewalt cuttoff, works great for cutting vinyl shakes. Bought it cause i dont like going up and down the ladder to cut shakes especially if youre 20’ in the air
I ended up picking up the dewalt per your testing. Got a couple 6ah batteries too. This thing is absurdly powerful. It’s way different in real life LOL. @@Tools-Tested man you read my mind!!!! I would love for dewalt to release a right angle die grinder equivalent kind of like Milwaukee but still keep it 20v. Or hell, maybe even an adapter? I've owned the Milwaukee for almost a year and it's a bummer when going through metals in general but it works well on tile and pvc. I'd love more power out of it but when the tasks get more difficult I get the angle grinder. Neither tool replaces the other but if you can only choose one go get the grinder.
Been running the Ridgid setup now for about a year working in commercial HVAC and no real issues.. Broadly speaking I think Super handy tools for getting in tight and hard to reach spaces most times or situations when extended reach of the arm with a traditional angle grinder isn't reasonable, however it most definitely has its limits.

As mentioned by others here. Yes, these guys have been tested on our other Fav channel. But, you covered some other stuff that is quite important to me. Layout / functionality, and that all important blade depth. Not even the manufactures released that info. Also, as much as all this testing equipment brings a unbiased opinion to the table. Seeing the tools in a real world scenario is important too. As your setup matures and grows, this is one test I hope you keep.
@@Tools-Tested You are the one spending the time, and money on these Videos. It's me that needs to say Thanks. I've already made sound buying decision with the Ryobi Die Grinder thanks to your work. Thank You Sir.
The Dewalt 3in cut off tool is my favorite tool I own, second would be an atomic impact driver. Its like an angle grinder with more accuracy and control. Super powerful, just use the correct blade for your application. I wait for the next reason to use it. Not a sponsored comment.
I bought my Milwaukee with batteries, charger and soft case from HD a couple of months ago for $113. Sweet deal! I would like to see a 18 volt version.
My personal tests were basically identical in first impressions as yours. I bought the M12 one first and don't use it on anything thicker. I definitely am glad DeWalt came out and really pushed out the competition. We've seen that several times over the past couple years with the DeWalt now. They take their time and produce a superior product.
Glad to hear your tests were similar. I agree it’s good Dewalt took there time and it definitely shows. It will be interesting to see if Milwaukee releases a M18 version similar to what they did with the inflator. The M12 was the first on the market I believe.
I actually had to cut a dozen 1/2" rebar dowls for some concrete work last week, and to be fair, I was using one of the contractor's Ryobi HP tools, and it did not exhibit the fight you had. That Ryobi cut super fast like butter, and performed much like the Dewalt did in your video, but I was holding the rebar in one hand and the saw in the other. I am trying to decide which to one buy, but whatever brand I get, I have to invest in a new line of batteries for them. I'm leaning towards the Ryobi based off it's performance and price myself.
I could really tell the difference with the Dewalt and TTCs video showed the same thing. That being said, the ryobi is a good value from a $ stand point. To me it really depends on which platform you want to grow with. I did pick another ryobi up, I’m currently working on a dyno for small high speed tools.
Yeah I was definitely not impressed, but I’m going to run the test again once I get my hands on a High Output XC 5.0 battery 🤞it will improve the performance.
I own the Milwaukee and i regret buying this tool but at the time i bought it non of these saws were out yet and definitely getting the dewalt because i am tired of having thermal shutdown on the m12 , for my use and abuse i will choose dewalt on this tool
gotta re do this video with the milwaukee m12 high output or 6.0 those other XC batteries are just as the label says extra compacity torque test channel has evidence that the 6.0 is the only one giving maximum output of XC batteries
Already did ruclips.net/video/_XUYeFqlLGc/видео.html It was interesting to see TTC basically came to the same conclusion. Hopefully we get an updated version from Milwaukee soon!
I got the Ryobi cut off tool for $54. The last promo they gave a two 2ah HP batt set free with a tool, which I returned. I don't even use it but couldn't turn it down for $54
Excellent vid showing strengths and weaknesses of all these models. It's apples and oranges though comparing a 12V tool to 18V tools. The M12 is going to be better at all lighter tasks because it is lighter & smaller yet with decent power. It's only 99 bucks now too.
This DeWalt cut off tool is awesome. I know some tile guys, they really appreciate this recent tool on the market I own and I've been using DeWalt, Makita, and Milwaukee tools and I like all of them. For the Overall the product line I like DeWalt the best. For certain tools like Sawzall or SDS hammer drill Milwaukee is fantastic. Circular saw or Planer Makita does geat... I used some Ryobi tools on somebody else's project, they are pretty much just a cheap hobby tool to me, I would never get one for sure. Several years ago when started I bought a Skil angle grinder, belt sander and a Bosch Hammer Drill (well, from the cheap line) they all soon ended up in the garbage.... That's how I learned my lesson... To be fair at work we have a stalled corded Makita sawzall.. That's weird, I don't know who used it or what happened... I'm using a M18 FUEL Hackzall of my own for tree trimming and some PVC pipe cutting, that is just a super awesome tool...
Thanks, that was a great review. One thing to note - these don't fit in the pocket (except for the Milwaukee maybe) so they are not as portable as some other cut-off tools so they should be a class of their own. I love the power of Team Yellow. Well done Dewalt! 👍
Yep good point the Milwaukee and Bosch are a lot more compact. I just got Hercules and Bauer version, hoping to test them soon. But I'm guessing they don't even come close to that Dewalt!
Are they worth it over a grinder? Its almost fathers day and the kids asked what i want and im tossing up between the new 18v makita cut off tool or the multi tool?
It's handy, but it really depends what you're going to do with it. You're not going to get anywhere near the power of an angle grinder or the cutting depth. I cant find the Makita in stock anywhere yet.
@@ibby81ae No luck in the US yet, normally the US is last to get the most recent Makita tools. It's weird, you would think nowadays all countries would get the tools once they are released.
You can remove the guard on the ridgid though. This has already been tested on the torque test channel and the ridgid is a lot better then you've made it seem
Just an observation on all these videos, they all comment on the Allen wrench not having a holder on the tool. I keep mine with my cutting wheels as the only time I need it is when I am changing out wheels. Being attached is no concern to me…
I own the Milwaukee and have test fit the Ryobi and Ridgid in the store. The Milwaukee is significantly lighter and smaller. I wish you would have put the weight with batteries as well, because the M12 will be much lighter at that point. Having said that, the Milwaukee is definitely for light duty use. It cuts out if you really push it. Just like their piece of junk die grinder. But I would never think of using it for rebar. I'll just grab my full size grinder for that. But the Milwaukee is good for small items. I like that DeWalt is starting to get their act together. I left them for Milwaukee after tons of issues with their tools and batteries. Never once had a Milwaukee battery failure, so it would take a lot more than a copycat cutoff tool to make me switch back. What's interesting is how much effort TTI is putting into Ridgid lately. The pricing is so close to Milwaukee these days, it doesn't make sense to go with Ridgid until you see their warranty. Of course, I've heard you have to go through the registration crap, but still.
Yeah I probably should have done it with/without battery's. With the CP.2 the battery is about 7oz lighter than the rest. But if you add the XC 4.0 then its only about 1oz lighter battery wise. I agree, all are defiantly for light duty use, I only cut rebar with it so I could push them to their limit. I have smoked a few regular grinders cutting bar. A rebar shear is the fastest and easiest but they are not cheap. I too stoped buying Dewalt a while ago, running a mix of Ridgid, Bosch and M12. Ridgid can be tricky when it comes to registering the tools, but from my personal experience the lifetime on batteries is well worth it. I have warranted a few over the years. I believe Ridgid is owned my Emersion Electric and they have an agreement with TTI to produce tools for them. While TTI owns Milwaukee and Ryobi.
Obviously you should have moved the brackets up on the ryobi and the rigid for a more apples to apple comparison ..you didnt allow it to truly bottom out ..I bet yah if you do that ..those two would cut deeper ..the size of the rigid motor is more impressive than expected ..imagine what it would do with something a little more substantial ..a little more torque with that speed and the price is deadly !! Give me the rigid and I will show you how I can do a floating concrete rebar foundation ..tile wet areas, plumb kitchen and toilets, and any other required jobs with that little beauty ..
Hell yeah. Love my Ridgid 3"saw. Heard a lot of hate on it "stalling". It's not short on power it's long on idiot protection. It shuts down when the blade binds to prevent injury from blades snapping and flying off at high speeds. This thing spins at 19,000+ rpm. It's G.O.A.T.
As user the M12 cut off tool, got to say that DeWalt gives me some serious tool envy. DeWalt core tools are still great if you take away the atomic crap. Everything else DeWalt though seems to have really taken a nose dive much more black and Decker than it is DeWalt, which is why I moved over to rigid. Still love my M12 tools though when I need a quick grab and go or tight spot tool.
It’s crazy compared to the M12 but to be fair I believe the Milwaukee was first on the market with this type of tool. Yeah I really think Ridgid is staging a comeback. Love my m12 3/8 impact and 1/4 driver.
Yep. 😂Just bought the m12 for really cheap. No wonder they finally came down in price. Thought I might be using it to cut some 5/8 allthread on wall hung carriers. Lolz. Looks like I’m going to be getting the dewalt after all for that. It’s just like I thought when it (m12) first came out. “What am I going to use that for? IDK, but I’m buying it.” Great useful video man.
Sadly I sold them already, so I could buy other tools to test. Wish I could have kept them for additional test but I don't have the $. Maybe next year I will run the testing again and will tear them apart as well.
Hopefully next year, I actually sold it so I could buy other tools to test. I don't have the $ to be able to keep them and buy new tools. I do now have the 6ah, and am also curious if the performance would change.
Any chance you could run the skil one handed circular saw? Not sure if it would be in the same class as these 3” cut off wheels, or if it would be more comparable to the m12 circular saw. Thanks! Enjoy these videos
Are you talking the new 4 1/2"? CR5435B-00, I would like to but it probably won't be until the end of this year. Because I would like to dyno it like the drills. Im currently working on an adapter and a modification so I can run higher RPM tools on it.
@@Tools-Tested yes! Just want to see how skil 20v line up compares. I picked up the m12 for $67 new so I ended up with it. It’s ok for my use bc I have an angle grinder for more torque. Just curious as project farm seems to have positive reviews on certain tools like the right angle drill as a value tool for the average joe at home
Timely review, I am currently looking for a small cut-off saw. That Dewalt certainly out performed the rest of them, availability looks to be really poor in the UK though. I only run the M18 Milwaukee platform, so wasn't too keen on getting one of those. Like you say, they need to step that up to the M18 platform. May have to go Ryobi, or wait to see if Dewalt comes available. Thanks for the video!
Hopefully it will be in stock over there soon. Yeah I don't understand why they haven't made a M18 version, they have the resources seeing TTI owns Milwaukee and Ryobi. No Problem!
Buy the DeWalt angle grinder. It is a much more efficient tool with wheels to do a lot more jobs at a cheaper price point and you can pick up the wheels even at Walmart unlike those stupid gimmicky cut off tools.
@@rickyperkins232 You have no idea, not the faintest idea, how these little machines can help. I have the Bosch 12-volt machine, I'm a plumber, and it's wonderful, small and very comfortable. I also have the Dewalt Flexvolt and it's a beast, but for other things.
You can but it's more so designed for metal, tile and pvc. Its not designed for a normal saw blade, only the multi purpose blade. They make 3" saws for wood.
Between the split beam torque wrench video and now this, you consistently provide extremely informative content with a lot of relevant brands. You deserve lots more subs
I want to use this with dremel 3in wood, I feel that this will be safer alternative for cutting wall panels, I mean when it comes to kick back it will be safer than circular saw. What do you think
Yeah most of them come with a multi purpose blade. If the panels are thin it would probably work. Some company's also offer 3" circular saws similar to this swell.
Before I’m going to buy this new line from dewalt i want to make it sure if brushless overview and specifications is different its says brushless and brushed this are made in Mexico not china and more expensive than the other brand i like the ridgid i have sub-compact but i want this tools as well for my other dewalt.
I'm a big fan of Milwaukee M12 and Ridgid. M12 for light to medium and Ridgid 18v for heavy duty. In all fairness, the Milwaukee M12 cutter is competing against the other 18v, so it's not bad for 12v. My M12 favorite is the Milwaukee Fuel brushless hex impact driver as I've never had to switch to the 18v Ridgid driver for any screws yet, even 4". That's with the small M12 battery too. I haven't tried lag bolts with it, but I bet it can kick some butt with that too. Being that I don't want to have lots of different batteries because of different brands, I'm sticking with the 2 mentioned. Anyway, I'm going for the Ridgid 18v cutter so I can use my plethora of Ridgid batteries. Second place is fine. Thanks for a great review.
Yeah for the most part the M12 line is good, impacts drills etc etc. But some tools like this just don't have the power compared to the competition with 18-24V. Between the two, Rigid is the clear winner here. No problem! glad it helped!
@@liambaker1597 but there are such a variety of wheels that cost less and every hardware and even Walmart carriers angle grinder wheels. And don't forget just how many cordless power tools Milwaukee makes in the United States. The answer is less than one. ZERO. Milwaukee..Chinese owned..Milwaukee cordless power tools 98 percent Chinese made. One or two made in Mexico. That's it. DeWalt, on the other hand makes several in the United States.

My 12V Milwaukee cutoff tool stalls, it's officially a POS. Heard good things about the more powerful DeWalt and I have a few cordless DeWalt tools. May pick one up.
TTI ie Milwaukee did give you an M18 version. They just put an orange shell on it and called it Ridgid 😂 also the Ridgid was on sale all last quarter for $99.
All new Ridgid blades were used to keep everything fair. But the stock dewalt blade is the standard 3” only difference is the thickness is more that’s why I bought all the same disks. Can’t say why it looks smaller in the video though.
Muchas gracias. Me encantó las comparativas y pruebas que hiciste, los resultados en gráficos se entiende mucho mejor el rendimiento de cada herramienta. Excelente video 👍 Could you please tell me if I can use any 3 inch saw blade to cut wood on the Dewalt tool?
Thanks! Anything 3” with a 3/8 arbor will fit. That being said I would be very careful putting a sawblade on it, definitely no safety on the bottom like a circular saw.
@@Tools-Tested Thanks for replying, advice and warning. I'm not trying to cut anything big with it, just a little board maybe 3/16 thick. and I imagined that this tool would be ideal for this, due to the low weight of the tool and its versatility. Thanks, yeah you can put a grinding disk on it. I have been using amzn.to/3B4Bd67, I had 1 laying around. Im sure a cheaper alternative is available but its defiantly handy with the grinding disk on it.
No im not being paid or bias, the guides are actually recessed compared to the shield for the disk. Removing them at best would only gain you .05 of an inch.
I just don't see any of these tools doing the job of a angle grinder period. Even the worst angle grinder is probably better than anything the Dewalt cut off tool has to offer. Every project these tools can handle an angle does it better, faster, more efficient and has many more accessories and different kinds of wheels at even lower prices lines.

Also, as much as all this testing equipment brings a unbiased opinion to the table. Seeing the tools in a real world scenario is important too. As your setup matures and grows, this is one test I hope you keep.
Yeah I was shocked none of the manufatures mentioned blade depth. Hopefully I can keep this test + add in the dyno.
Thanks!
Yep its an awesome tool, with a lot of power for its size.
I bought my Milwaukee with batteries, charger and soft case from HD a couple of months ago for $113. Sweet deal! I would like to see a 18 volt version.
Nice sounds like you got a good deal!, everything just keeps going up. Hopefully they do make a 18!
@@Tools-Tested Milwaukee hates to lose any of the market share lol so I'd assume we'll see an M18 version sooner or later
Picked up the DeWalt today. Can’t wait to try it out 👍🏼
Nice! It won’t disappoint.
This time i watched before i made the purchase! been wanting the Milwaukee, but you changed my mind!
Yeah really wish Milwaukee would release a second gen.
the 20v dewalt is a monster used it love it wish it was slimmer battery
Add the new 8ah power pack brings it to another level, really is crazy.
The Dewalt is on sale in a 2 battery kit right now for $199. I added it to my collection.
Nice! yeah its handy IMO.
Running m 12 not so happy great test to cut a strip of hardie backer full length m12 can barely do it
Yeah I was definitely not impressed, but I’m going to run the test again once I get my hands on a High Output XC 5.0 battery 🤞it will improve the performance.
@@Tools-Tested yeah but that adds a orher 100 ucks or so right
I own the Milwaukee and i regret buying this tool but at the time i bought it non of these saws were out yet and definitely getting the dewalt because i am tired of having thermal shutdown on the m12 , for my use and abuse i will choose dewalt on this tool
Yep can’t beat the Dewalt, almost overpowered lol.
You just sold me on the dewalt since I have both dewalt and M12 - good to know, cheers.
Yeah its worth the extra money over the M12, the Dewalt is honestly unbelievable, I been using it a lot lately and love it.
why have I not found this channel yet....unreal. Great stuff man, subbed.
Lol, I don't think YT shares my video's. Thanks!
gotta re do this video with the milwaukee m12 high output or 6.0 those other XC batteries are just as the label says extra compacity torque test channel has evidence that the 6.0 is the only one giving maximum output of XC batteries
Already did ruclips.net/video/_XUYeFqlLGc/видео.html
It was interesting to see TTC basically came to the same conclusion. Hopefully we get an updated version from Milwaukee soon!
I got the Ryobi cut off tool for $54. The last promo they gave a two 2ah HP batt set free with a tool, which I returned. I don't even use it but couldn't turn it down for $54
Sounds like you got a good deal, cant beat that!
Yes I need a m18 version I am almost considering a dewalt battery adapter to m18 and buying this cut off tool
Hopefully we see a m18 version soon!
Glad I saw this. Was thinking of the M12 but I have a ton of Dewalt batteries, so there you go.
Yeah the m12 doesn't even come close to the dewalt.
love m12 cut off only prob it stops and starts under load drives me nuts also frys threw batterys high cap pack is must
Yeah really wish they would update this tool.
Excellent vid showing strengths and weaknesses of all these models. It's apples and oranges though comparing a 12V tool to 18V tools. The M12 is going to be better at all lighter tasks because it is lighter & smaller yet with decent power. It's only 99 bucks now too.
Yep you can pick the m12 up for a good price currently.
Did you watch the same video? It stalls out doing light tasks, its gutless and has less usable disc, its no contest.
This DeWalt cut off tool is awesome. I know some tile guys, they really appreciate this recent tool on the market
I own and I've been using DeWalt, Makita, and Milwaukee tools and I like all of them.
Yeah the dewalt makes the other cut off tools on the market look like toys.
Makita just released the 18v but max cut depth is 18mm.
I got the m12 for drywall and it’s perfect
Yeah the m12 has the best dust collection
Thank you for the video!
I can’t stand my Milwaukee with all its constant cut outs, but I love my Dewalt.
No problem! Yeah definitely frustrating, I like the M12 line but not this tool. Yeah that dewalt is powerful!!!
When I first bought my powerstack, it was fully charging on a dcb115 in 13 minutes.
I got plenty of rigid tools and batteries in gonna have to go for that one
The rigid performs well, cant beat the performance for the size.
Glad to see these works for lefties (sort of). Thanks for the great video. Super helpful. I'm getting the dewalt.
No problem! glad it helped!
The Dewalt has a multi material blade, couod I use this same blade in the ofhers? I don't think I can stretch to the Dewalt tool.
Yes it should fit any of the other 3" cut off tools
Thanks for the review! I bought the M12 yesterday. Think I will return it and purchase the Dewalt.
No problem!
Look at the cut times for the Ridgid...not bad. Especially the rebar. Love me some Ridgid. Nice review 👍
Yep and its 50 dollars cheaper than the Dewalt.
Thanks!
@@Tools-Tested Don't know where got that $129 price, I bought mine early last year for $99 and it did go to $119. Haven't seen $129?
Wow. That took a lot of work to make this video. Well done brother 👍
Thanks!
Milwakee is 12v king. Pistol grip is underrated. they feel so nice in hand.
Will this work for wood ? Im cutting out old wood soffit need something small as im working over my head
It’s not recommended but it will cut wood with the muti purpose blade. They make small circular saws like this that are meant for wood.
3" Dewalt is on sale at HD For only 199$$$
Also includes Dewalt bag, charger, 6ah and 4ah batteries??
Ordered one this morning!!
Killer Deal
Nice score! defiantly sounds like a good deal!
@@Tools-Tested it available here in Australia .
@@ibby81ae No luck in the US yet, normally the US is last to get the most recent Makita tools. It's weird, you would think nowadays all countries would get the tools once they are released.
@Tools-Tested I always thought that the US got things before Australia.
The ridgid really shines with a 4ah Max Output battery
It really performs with the 9ah.
The new atomic impact is pretty good
I think that the atomic line is very good as well.
IDK, but I’m buying it.”
Great useful video man.
Yeah m12 is a little under powered compared to the rest.
But the Dewalt is crazy! I have found it easier to use then a die grinder.
No problem!
will you consider open up the difference between ryobi and ridigd again?
Sadly I sold them already, so I could buy other tools to test. Wish I could have kept them for additional test but I don't have the $.
Maybe next year I will run the testing again and will tear them apart as well.
Like to see the ryobi with the 6a + battery ?
Before watching I know the dewalt is king
Really very nice video on mini cut-off tool
Glad you liked it!
Can you run a Dremel blade on the DeWalt like you can the M12 Milwaukee? Great review, thanks!
I don’t see why not, believe the Dremel 3” disks are the standard dimensions.
@@lukather39 tell you what I am going to buy this tool now and in 30 days if it is not worth it I will say so and if it is I will also say so
@Ricky Perkins They're bad ass, you'll love it.
Hey what about wood can we use it
You can but it's more so designed for metal, tile and pvc. Its not designed for a normal saw blade, only the multi purpose blade.
They make 3" saws for wood.
You do know that the Ryobi and rigid bar moves up so you can get the same amount of disk use
Very needed video for all.
Worx and the new to US version Bosch comparison coming this weekend.
What is it that makes the dewalt cut deeper than the Milwaukee? Is it the nut that holds the disc in place?
The drive is offset on the dewalt vs directly off the motor on the Milwaukee.
Between the split beam torque wrench video and now this, you consistently provide extremely informative content with a lot of relevant brands. You deserve lots more subs
Thanks for the support! Hopefully someday.
Hi this Delwalt is brushless and made in Mexico.
My question is "why would anyone want to cut reber with a cut off tool when an angle grinder is probably 500% more efficient?"
Probably handier when cutting outlets or wire metals when you need more precision or angle grinder is just simply too big for those
@@liambaker1597 but there are such a variety of wheels that cost less and every hardware and even Walmart carriers angle grinder wheels.

Lol yeah the Milwaukee was a let down compared to the Dewalt. Been using the Dewalt and its defiantly a beast!
🤣👏 I agree, Milwaukee fans just tell themselves that "Milwaukee is the best" so they get all butt hurt when a Dewalt tool beats a Milwaukee tool
And don't forget just how many cordless power tools Milwaukee makes in the United States. The answer is less than one. ZERO.
Milwaukee..Chinese owned..Milwaukee cordless power tools 98 percent Chinese made. One or two made in Mexico. That's it.

@@Tools-Tested cool. Willing to wait... because i think milwaukee will not produce m18 cut off saw just 12v only... the dewalt is the best one for cut off saw for now.

Yes you could with metal, wood would be a little harder because its a Multipurpose blade not a saw blade but in a pinch it would work.
a very good review. Milwaukee is my base system but the DeWalt was very impressive . I think i will wait to see if Milwaukee come out with something more powerful/practical. In the meantime, i will stick with my Bosh 41/2 inch corded grinder. thanks.
Thanks! Yeah hopefully we see something better from Milwaukee soon, this one has been on the market for a while now.
Why not remove the guards on rigid and ryobi
My 12V Milwaukee cutoff tool stalls, it's officially a POS. Heard good things about the more powerful DeWalt and I have a few cordless DeWalt tools. May pick one up.
Yep 110% the Milwaukee stalls with very little effort which is annoying.
I defiantly recommend the Dewalt its awesome!
Glad I'm not the only one this happens to thought I was doing something wrong
Excellent test and review ! thanks
TTI ie Milwaukee did give you an M18 version. They just put an orange shell on it and called it Ridgid 😂 also the Ridgid was on sale all last quarter for $99.
Why does the dewalt blade look way smaller than the others? Wouldn't that be a tremendous advantage torque wise?
All new Ridgid blades were used to keep everything fair. But the stock dewalt blade is the standard 3” only difference is the thickness is more that’s why I bought all the same disks.
Can’t say why it looks smaller in the video though.
Could you please tell me if I can use any 3 inch saw blade to cut wood on the Dewalt tool?
if the blade comes with a 3/8" arbor then yes
Dewalt made a good tool...damnit, wonder if I can find an adapter
Yeah it's powerful.
Muchas gracias. Me encantó las comparativas y pruebas que hiciste, los resultados en gráficos se entiende mucho mejor el rendimiento de cada herramienta.
Excelente video 👍
Could you please tell me if I can use any 3 inch saw blade to cut wood on the Dewalt tool?
I know there are other tools that can be used for the same purpose, but looking around, I see that I could do it faster with this one. anyway. thanks for your good explanation in the video
Nice video Captain America. Can I use the dewalt as a grinder?
Thanks, yeah you can put a grinding disk on it. I have been using amzn.to/3B4Bd67, I had 1 laying around. Im sure a cheaper alternative is available but its defiantly handy with the grinding disk on it.
Cut tile?
They will, I didn’t have any. But would expect similar performance between them.
12v vs 20v ? Is that fair ?
I don’t thinking you should compare M12 with Dewalt 20V !!!!
Lol that Dewalt made the m12 look horrible. But we will see, once I get the High Output XC 5.0 maybe it will boost the performance.
For the depth test, you cutting depth cage on two of them so makes me think testing is biased.
Are yiu being paid?
No im not being paid or bias, the guides are actually recessed compared to the shield for the disk. Removing them at best would only gain you .05 of an inch.
What about the makita one?!!!
Hope to test it once it’s released. I haven’t found it in stock anywhere yet.
The Dewalt is powerful but honestly I think all those are what I'd expect from those little things I mean they are not an angel grinder
Do angel grinders work like stump grinders...but for celestial beings? Or do they grind angles into said angels?
I just don't see any of these tools doing the job of a angle grinder period. Even the worst angle grinder is probably better than anything the Dewalt cut off tool has to offer.
Every project these tools can handle an angle does it better, faster, more efficient and has many more accessories and different kinds of wheels at even lower prices lines.
I bought the Milwaukee because the dewalt wasn't available yet the m12 platform is awesome. Most of my tools are dewalt I glad dewalt finally made a tool like this. After seeing the dewalt I really think I'll get one. Great to see the review
