While it may not require to be cut with water I would suggest you do use water for the cuts. Water creates two hydroxyl groups attached to silicon. As a result, the length of the crack grows by the size of the bond rupture. The water reaction reduces the energy necessary to break the silicon-oxygen bonds, thus the crack grows faster and breaks cleaner. However the experienced tradesmen can get a quite nice break (cut) without water.
Umm, are these saws rated for use with water? I doubt it. I have tile saws specifically meant for wet or dry use. The bearings and other parts are sealed for the purpose. The last thing you want is an abrasive slurry being pulled into the cooling vents or on the bearings.
I've heard cutting through a brick a few times I believe you need to use some water too. the brick dust and water. it makes a slurry that will help to sharpen the blade. By removing some of the metal and exposing more diamonds.
First of all, love the satire and editing. Takes a lot more work than people realize. Second, didn't even know a tool like this existed. I bought the Milwaukee cut off tool and a masonry blade to do some brick repointing grinding work and the cut off tool failed miserably. Not enough power to handle soft mortar. The tool heated up to fast and kept on cutting out and overheating, plus the tool goes through batteries quickly. Had to use the good old trusty angle grinder to do the job. Great New Information. The 3 inch angle grinders seem a little pricey now. The 3 inch would have an advantage with the smaller pieces, and curved cuts, but I think my 4.5 inch could do what I need it to. I see that Diablo makes a continuous rim 10 inch blade that will also dry cut and would automatically give me straight cuts on my miter, but my 4.5 inch could probably do the whole thing just fine. Just score them, and follow the line.

I've always wondered how grinders like these make rounded cuts... I know a circular saw blade can bind if you are not cutting properly. So, how does this work with a grinder? Both a circular saw and a grinder use a flat wheel for cuts...

Your Home Depot visit got you another subscriber. Really funny!!! Thank you.
Hahaha, welcome to the channel Tom!!!
Awesome review. Thanks!
I’ve had success making circles in porcelain tile with 4,1/2” blades with a regular size angle grinder. This 3 incher looks like it’s a serious upgrade to my technique.
It is nice and compact but I would always use a dust collector or shopvac to catch the dust, CEMENTOSIS is bad for Lungs and asthma
Man, I really need buy one for my Ryobi cut off tool! Great review, brother!👊🏾
Will be awesome 👌
Dangit!!! Another M12 tool and blade I NEED to get!!! I usually just throw my Makita corded 4" angle grinder in, but well, battery? Uh YASSSS!!!
Is a cut-off tool same as a mini angle grinder? Are they used for grinding on the flat surface of the disk?
Thanks brother. BIG help!
Also, I noticed you were luckier than a skunk when you slapped that bat-ter-ry into the Milly and had the triggers depressed and almost took a finger!
Awesomeness!!!!
A channel you can trust, brother has a dip in the whole video.
the important thing is that the Milwaukee and diablo blade is speak for itself. Thanks for showing .
I've always wondered how grinders like these make rounded cuts... I know a circular saw blade can bind if you are not cutting properly. So, how does this work with a grinder? Both a circular saw and a grinder use a flat wheel for cuts...
This video was suggested in my feed. From on Pittsburgh guy to another - you just got a new subscriber haha. Gotta support folks from da' Burgh.
Haha welcome to the channel Tony, and GO STILLERS!!!!
I loved your chill walk through Home Depot!

I like that you use your trash can lid as your outdoor table…..
Thought I was the the only one with a hillbilly table?
LOL 😂
Thanks for the blade review I got go get me that blade!
Hahaha, thanks for the comment Rick!!!
Do the tiles get any fine chipping on the edges, or very clean cuts?
That backsplash is gorgeous!
Thanks Mojo!!!
I always buy Diablo blades. They have proven to be the best at cutting most everything
Love me some Diablo 😎👊👊👊
Where can you buy these? The Diablo website doesn't allow for direct orders, it only points you to local retailers, and HD is the only one near me. But HD doesn't show it on their website. They have the 4-in version, but not the 3-in.
They are working to get them online
thanks for the info...gonna give them a try on my own backsplash...real nice like
I'm already subscribed, and I don't remember for how long I've been subscribed.
Appreciate you either way wizard👊
I live bout an hour east of Pittsburgh. I understood every word you said
