I would love to visit Goa sometime. Portuguese architecture is my favorite and I can just imagine that when there was more Portuguese presence in the city, they must have really felt at home. Such a lovely video. Interesting enough, I had plans to visit prior the pandemic but of course, my trip never happened.

Goa, India, was a portuguese colony from 1510 to 1961
so had always a large number of Europeans and mixed European-Indian families,
very important city, the former capital of the portuguese Indies,
where portuguese built some 70 churches and a large number of colleges, monasteries and convents
nowadays this huge patrimonial site was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco
      it is said that,
"Goa has the highest GDP per capita among all Indian states, two and a half times that of the country..."

@@marie3587 Its a pity that the Portuguese language is no longer spoken in Goa. There may be a few families that still speak it. I am not sure.

Fort Kochi, Kerala , South India also the same , it was ruled by Portugese in 1500's and 1600's then the Dutch took over and ruled till 1800s then the British ..I think Vasco Da Gama came to Fort Kochi in 1503 , passed away in 1524 and buried in St Francis Church , Fort Kochi, later they moved his remains to Lisbon , Portugal. St Francis Church was originally built by Portugese as a Catholic Church then Dutch Converted it to their Church , British also did the same , they converted it to their protestant Church , now its a CSI church.

Goa is another Gods own country undoubtedly, during months of nov to feb amazing place
    Less hot
And now regarding this heritage walk
    Except the negative points below
Roads and narrow alleys , a reminder of Goas lovely heritage ,marred by cars and 🏍, had these been obscured it would have been still fun. Good and nice points are
    Colors are lovely
    White church and colored 🏘
    Superb blue and yellow
    Nostalgic
Even the months of june to sept are good in Goa when rains batter. However, at times , as it happened during ,august 2019 ,when our training was scheduled in SBILD PANAJI
( SBI LEARNING center) flooding and home collapse caused shortage of food and even things like dahi 🥛 was difficult* to get.
    No complaints here.
Of course , banks canteen and staff , at sbild managed to rustle up something for all participants undergoing training.
    * goa 🚌 going 2 airport etc were on and helpful. And almost all shops inside the
    Panaji 🚌 depot were on
We love goa and its heritage

Peace I give unto you, my peace I leave with you, in the world there will be tribulations, but be of good cheer, the Lord Jesus Christ, has overcome the demonic world powers. Walk in God’s WORD and the word will liberate Goa from accidental spirits , that have invaded the sanctity of Goa.❤❤❤. Amen.

If you do a search on Fontainhas, you will find that it is generally referred to as a Latin Quarter. Not Latino but _Latin,_ due to its Portuguese heritage. This is what the video correctly uses in the introduction.
_"Fontainhas (or Bairro das Fontainhas, in Portuguese) is an old Latin Quarter in Panjim, capital city of the state of Goa, India"._ -Wikipedia
_"Fontainhas is an old Latin Quarter situated in Panjim, Goa. A Portuguese-influenced quarter, this area is over 250 years old."_ -National School of Journalism
