Fontainhas, the capital of Panjim’s Latin quarter, is known for narrow lanes full of colorful Portuguese villas with balconies and red-tiled roofs. The 1800s St. Sebastian’s Chapel is a whitewashed, 3-tiered church, and the chic Gallery Gitanjali shows contemporary art and hosts cultural events. Small boutiques sell Portuguese azulejo tiles, while traditional Goan eateries and quaint bakeries serve local dishes.

Wow Moses.., This brings back my 2017 to 2019 memories. Was working for the defence and I was staying about 2 kilometres from that bridge( Taleigao ), Loved staying there and love the cakes at Geetha bakery opposite my office.

Fontainhas is truly a great place. Must visit for everyone visiting Goa. You took a new walking route this time which was good. I noticed that Confecteria 31de Janeiro had less number of snacks when you went.... did you go too early or had everything vanished ? 😃 The message about respecting the privacy of the residents is very important --- every tourist should adhere to it and must not get carried away.
It was early morning most of the stuff was being prepared. Didn't want too much crowd as everyone clicks pictures and don't give me way to walk!

It's a good place no doubt. But people should avoid making it a tourist place. There are so many beautiful lanes in all over India. Resident people should not be distributed. These are just houses with vibrant colour which they do every year.

This area is nothing in Goa... waste to visit this place.. don't waste your time..
Just goes to show how uneducated you are. This is one of the most famous heritage parts of Goa. If you think this is a waste you are truly as we say a cheap tourist with limited to no knowledge or brains.
I had a very bad experience at Confeitaria 31 de Janerio, food was definitely very tasty, fresh. However, the real shocker came during payment. The lady who was there other than the owner asked me to pay 815 after doing a calculation which she did not show me or not gave me any bill. As I was in hurry and did not want to start the day with an argument, I was left with no choice but to pay the amount, but I chose Gpay to keep a proof of the payment I had to make. We were only two persons. It was in 1st week of October. I had read such things about Mr. Baker also, u can get it on Google review. Such unprofessional things are not expected from such an esteemed eatery I must say. So, I will suggest please ask the price of each of the food items before placing the order. It is a self-service restaurant, the lady will not give an ear, neither she will re-calculate, rather will behave like she is very busy with customers. So, be very CAREFUL.
This is very important. I will have a talk with the owner and make sure this is taken care of. In this video there is a list of all the prices please calculate and see what you had eaten. And how much it came to. Then I will talk to the owner.

Such small things can happen on a tour, we are used to with these. But, pls tell the owner to give a bill, even if it is handwritten. Thank you once again bro, hope to go back soon.
