Kew in West London is a relatively nice and safe neighborhood, and you got the privilege of being close to Kew Gardens. I've been visiting there several times with my husband and children throughout the years. The only prob is how expensive it is as a neighbourhood.

Why are bus shelters in the uk often turned to not face the street?
To protect you from traffic noise and fumes.
But it makes boarding the bus harder

I lived here for a year. It’s a beautiful neighbourhood but had to move away because of the airplane noise. It’s incessant and woke me up every single morning. It’s also a pretty boring place to live with very little multiculturalism unlike the rest of London. It’s very white and upper class. That being said there’s a fantastic chip shop on Sandycombe Road!
Please don't spoil your country.
It’s already been spoiled in many places by trashy post ww2 developments. However there are still a lot of areas that haven’t suffered in that way, Kew and nearby Richmond are good examples and as a result are highly sort after though of course that means higher house prices. Wouldn’t live anywhere else. 😊
