When I first started watching, I thought you were just another equipment trader. After watching for awhile I’m impressed with your knowledge and integrity. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing your time.
When I was a kid I used to enjoy watching and helping put old machines together. Now that I’m 89, I enjoy watching you. It is always a dice shot whether they will run.
Started watching your channel when dirt perfect bought your equipment and the way you stood by anything that went wrong very honorable hope you’re getting a lot more business because of it
Love your optimism and willingness to tackle every task to get these beautiful babies running! Been watching for a while now and I love the layout of your shop as it's well thought out and functional versus functionally obsolete capable of handling all sorts of heavy lifting and painting as well. Yet, without the experience and knowledge it would all be worthless. I absolutely love when you pull out that little parts book, it's so worn the pages want to fall away from the binder and it reminds me of the old Motors manuals and archaic pamphlets I used to keep. They're worth their weight in gold. I knew it would start but I did not know it would start so damn easy, what a blessing! May you be well, abundantly blessed and continue to prosper!
You must be the smartest businessman with hands on the job. You are able to get a machine going with no staff around. Another top job and your work and attention to detail is admirable. People who buy your products should watch your videos then they will understand your work ethic. Always ever ready to put in new parts. Very few business people do that. You are tops.
I'm delighted that it runs and behaves just as you would hope for. I was very surprised how quickly it fired off and ran so smoothly for you. To me it suggests that the recorded engine hours are correct. A good work out after a full service and thorough greasing will give you a much better idea I would think. Congratulations on a lucky purchase.
Oh it’s gonna run, no doubt in my mind, you haven’t got yourself into something you haven’t been able to handle since I have been watching your vids young man.thanks for the ride along sir.
As a wheelchair user, I love those extendable stick magnets. Great for picking up dropped metal items off the floor without doing a nosedive from my chair. Works on about 90% of household metal stuff like tableware, utensils, hand tools, clips, lids, etc.
Back when I was younger (much so) we used to fit those starters without removing the pump and pipes, most times the starter failed because it had oil in it from the transmission. When we had to fit a transmission pump we used to prime them and bleed them too, it made life better because the pump lasted longer and you more or less knew if you had pressure before you tried selecting a gear ! Nice video, brought back many memories.
That's great stuff... Quality equipment from CAT. Doesn't get any better... CAT..Abuse it, ignore it, intentionally try and destroy it....NOPE!!!! CAT KEEPS COMING BACK AND AT IT!!!! GREAT STUFF
☘️🇮🇪🇺🇸 Evenin Cliff, Friday night sitting quiet letting RUclips wander & this gentle perfect piece played. As if I was sitting tucked off 2 the side listening while you - in the peace of an empty shop- worked methodically calmly thru the puzzle of bringing her back to life. It is as healing for the soul , these moments clearing your mind of the rest of the 🌎in the silence of only the wynd. Peace & blessings 🙏🏼🌹
Can't beat those old machines for reliability and simplicity. I guess time will tell if it was a good buy after you run it for a bit. If the starting up is an indication you should be good.
It’s funny to me that I don’t own any diesel equipment because I love watching will it start videos! I ran a Backhoe and Kubota tractor for a bit but that was years ago. Great content, love your shop!👍
I expected it to run by the time you had finished, but the way it fired right up took me by surprise and probably a lot of others, yet another cool video ❤
Its nice to see the D7 come back to life, seems you have got a good thing going with the military and it's nice to see our tax money going to a good use thanks for reviving a great machine from a great manufacturer!
Every time you get a ‘new’ machine it will be an experience with a lot of surprises. And when it goes fine and it works you’ll be so happy like a small child. This is human 😋. B2W, working on Sunday means, it is more then work it is your hobby 👍👊😉
The geese were flying south here in KS yesterday. They must have thought winter was coming! At least the penguins aren't hanging around anymore! Lol 😆 😆 😆
That was cool when she fired up so easy so far I like your videos I love old equipment old heavy equipment I should say yeah I think I'll try watching some of your shows so far so good thank you
Just thinking of all the jobs I've come on to where someone else couldn't figure out the issue or whatever. It's tough backtracking whatever the original issue is when everything is already taken apart.. Like you said, sure hope it's just a bad starter but then why would they go through all that work to pull a starter if that's all that was wrong (I'm sure there's a manual in the military to show the most efficient way to swap a starter.. oh NM)
Thank you for showing the Track adjustment. That is interesting to know. For a none start removal from trailers, ect. I learn new things every time I watch you.
Glad this dozer started up for you and would love to see it after you are completely done with it. You and those around you all seem like great hard-working people and love to see when your sons help out.
Hey Clint, You've got to love the Old Iron. You're right, that machine will make someone a nice dozer that will still outwork anything new. Awesome video. I cannot wait for the next one.
Awesome awesome video Clint, I sat glued to the screen I love this kind of video I could have watched this for hours I love a mystery. Probably the radiator all it had was water in it and they opened the drain cock and took the radiator cap off to vent it they probably didn't know where it was going and he wanted to make sure that it didn't freeze like you say who knows. I am thrilled with this kind of video. Actually all your videos I have watched all the way through. As a retired Excavating contractor I miss working on tractors and trucks except my own LOL. Luckily I don't own anymore but you and dirt perfect and others bring back the memories some good some bad thanks keep them coming. PS I am still looking for a walk through on your yard crane
This is the second time I watched this video and it just keeps getting better. I love you working on Sundays so you can think about projects that you have going on. Just keep moving forward!
Top notch! Really interesting video today. Thanks for making this video, it brings back memories of when I was a Service Manager for a Terex ( GM ) equipment Dealer back in the '70's Always good to watch a guy who knows what he's doing! :)
Gotta love this weather. I'm in east central Ohio. Also love your videos. Your step by step approach and explanations are just great. Since I started watching you and Letsdig18, it has helped me through some mechanical issues and repairs, that I wouldn't have tried before. By trade, I'm a retired 45 year veteran electrician, but have been involved with maintenance departments in several factories. Electro-mechanical work and construction is a whole lot different than machine mechanical maintenance. Keep the good informative videos coming.
That old cat runs nice doesn't even smoke right off the bat after sitting seems like low hour machine I watch all your videos and dirt perfect he sure came along way and you sure went threw a lot of machines
Back in the early 1990's in college my dad and I bought a Dodge GLH Turbo with a locked up engine. The owner said he was driving one day and it just died and he said it's a locked up engine. I bought it for the parts so when it was time to take the alternator off we found that it was locked up not the engine. So a car worth $800 at the time sold for $4500.00 after repair and a nice paint job
Awsom, guy. It walks well, turns well, and it starts easily which means it has good compression. Somebody is going to get a good tractor. Maybe Dirt Perfect? You know ... for that worn out John Deere?
When I first started watching, I thought you were just another equipment trader. After watching for awhile I’m impressed with your knowledge and integrity. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing your time.
Not your average business owner I guess 😁
@@C_CEQUIPMENT Pretty evident dealing with the young man down south! Lol!He’s a really good kid Mr. Simmons is.
@@C_CEQUIPMENT has the Deere scraper sold yet?
@@chandlerdirt8158 not yet
Cuts down on overhead for sure!
You're a gentleman, knowledgable and a kind teacher of your gift. Thankyou.
Some guys play golf; some fish-
you solve "mechanical mysteries."
Absolutely amazing! LOVE your videos!
When I was a kid I used to enjoy watching and helping put old machines together. Now that I’m 89, I enjoy watching you.
It is always a dice shot whether they will run.
Thanks
Good to see someone else knows the value of KROIL along with Matt from Diesel Creek
Started watching your channel when dirt perfect bought your equipment and the way you stood by anything that went wrong very honorable hope you’re getting a lot more business because of it
Quentin strikes me as of very high integrity. It's why I bother watching his videos. He's one of the good ones.
Love your optimism and willingness to tackle every task to get these beautiful babies running! now that's a true parts CATalog

I love that you can save those older Cats from the salvage yard.
I agree. The old equipments well worth investing in.Amazes me how when shown love they run for decades.Great investment
I'm delighted that it runs and behaves just as you would hope for. I was very surprised how quickly it fired off and ran so smoothly for you. Yep thanks
I'd hazard a guess and say the army mechanics who did the work on that beast during its time in service did a bang-up job.
So much fun to to watch the brain trust at work
It will start right up
Oh it’s gonna run, no doubt in my mind, you haven’t got yourself into something you haven’t been able to handle since I have been watching your vids young man.thanks for the ride along sir.

We are fans from Queensland, Australia. I so admire your mechanical competence, you are a fine deisel engineer and businessman.
As a wheelchair user, I love those extendable stick magnets. Great for picking up dropped metal items off the floor without doing a nosedive from my chair. Works on about 90% of household metal stuff like tableware, utensils, hand tools, clips, lids, etc.
Great job. Watch the whole video
I appreciate it!

Everything you touch you always get it going!
So Kevin is the brains behind this place. That’s fantastic.
Can't beat those old machines for reliability and simplicity. I guess time will tell if it was a good buy after you run it for a bit. If the starting up is an indication you should be good.
Man you didn't even get excited when it started right up. Lol
That's a real work the d7 from the 80s was a hearty machine
It’s funny to me that I don’t own any diesel equipment because I love watching will it start videos! I ran a Backhoe and Kubota tractor for a bit but that was years ago. Great content, love your shop!👍
I never doubted it would start. It's a CAT. Give the old ones enough fuel and good batteries and they will go.
Clint that Kroil works wonders.
I had to laugh when I saw you fighting the fuel cap threads!! Been there🥴
It must be a cat thing
Nice Sunday repair….no doubt you wouldn’t make her come to life! Thanks again for bringing us along!!
Absolutely thrilled it fired up and performed so well. Congrats! Nice vid.
Thanks
It will run, barring no catastrophic engine damage.
You are a natural teacher. I respect the way you interact with your boys and your coworkers.
Its good to see a specialist, get things working. From a retired marine engineer.
I expected it to run by the time you had finished, but the way it fired right up took me by surprise and probably a lot of others, yet another cool video ❤
Definitely a nice old dozer! 👍
Its nice to see the D7 come back to life, seems you have got a good thing going with the military and it's nice to see our tax money going to a good use thanks for reviving a great machine from a great manufacturer!
Very impressive! Very methodical in your approach...walked right through the repair. Great job!
I have an older D7 C 17A needs pistons sleeves and bearings
Spring is actuly wave washers
D7G was always my favorite. Best all around work tractor ever made. Yeah, that's right, I called it a tractor. Has track and moves stuff. Tractor.
Watched another oldie again! Jim
Big ole can or CRC BRAKE PARTS CLEANER. That magic in a can is made two towns up from me in warminster Pennsylvania.
Cool
Dude are u kidding that dog just cracked right off!!😁😁
Good job and you are one lucky man. :)
Thanks! 😃
That's pretty awesome how you barely hit the key and it cranked over like nothing

Guy Knows His Stuff!!!
I knew she was gonna run. Never would have expected the instant start up. Nice tractor.
Always nice when you hit a "Home Run".

Just like the ones I used to service back in the 80's. Love those old cats!
I am thrilled to see you got a runner with minor issues. . They can’t all be lemon’s. Good call on picking up that one.
You are amazing I love these old dozers. Ran them a lot. At least it is not a pony motor you are a great service when I need a tractor I will see you.
You forgot to drain the water in the transmission drain plug , thanks BigAl California

Glad this dozer started up for you and would love to see it after you are completely done with it. You and those around you all seem like great hard-working people and love to see when your sons help out.

Please don’t forget to torque that front left wheel as they were only still only snug when you signed off. Looks great !
Do you have any idea how proud I am that you folks are Hoosiers!!! Save the equipment.
Thanks
That is so cool to bring something back to life again like that.
I reckon you might do well on this one Clint!!
Awesome awesome video Clint, I sat glued to the screen I love this kind of video I could have watched this for hours I love a mystery. One day
Well you know this guy knows his stuff.
never doubted it would start. 👊👊👍👍
It will run for sure. No problem.
She's running and moving! Yay!
In a hydraulic gear pump, the oil goes around the outside of the gears. Remember, you can not compress a liquid.
It appears,,, YOU HAVE CHOSEN WISELY ! Congrats Clint, the gamble paid off !
That started better than your forklift! Sweet!
This is the second time I watched this video and it just keeps getting better. I love you working on Sundays so you can think about projects that you have going on. Just keep moving forward!
Keep up the great work, Clint. Neat, varied content, down to earth subjects and your 'staff' and you really are a team to be admired.
Top notch!

Nice weather in TN. Sat. the weather is going to drop like a rock. Snow??
I bet it will start! You are experienced in those machines!
These army cats are old school very trustworthy have faith the always run
If you couldn't get it running, I was going to recommend a good mechanic who lives a little over an hour away from you. His name is Mike...😄
Been watching you for a while. I’m sure you’ll get it running.
That old cat runs nice doesn't even smoke right off the bat after sitting seems like low hour machine I watch all your videos and dirt perfect he sure came along way and you sure went threw a lot of machines
Brought that baby back to life
Great job, keep up the good work. I really liked it Explanation details
Thanks
When I worked on equipment I would put some grease in the O ring groves to hold the O ring in place while I assembled the part. Great job Clint.
Yep
I normally do but didn’t have any out with me
It’ll run. Got faith in you. Your videos are very informative for someone that’s retired and likes to tinker.
D7G is a strong pusher for a 7 of that year. And nimble enough!
I never had a doubt Clint
I like all your videos entertaining but strictly. Business and quality equipment.
