I'm a 72 year old retired truck driver. I love to watch Client's videos. He goes into details and really tries to educate people. Love watching.
Thanks for watching
@@C_CEQUIPMENT people from fan problem
I can't believe Kevin didn't say, " something had hit the fan". That guy is funny.
That's old cat strat s right up that's a good one
It has been proven that the government can mess up a one car funeral. You have a knack at solving problems. Thank You for the video....
Design Engineers do not work on the products that they design. If they did they would figure out that things need room to repair.
I would love to spend a day with you and Kevin working on equipment. It’s always a joy to watch you guys. Kevin is definitely a valuable employee.
He is
Thanks
nice to see a dealer putting new parts on used kit , you do the job right .
Good job
Love your videos all your content is both informative and entertaining you and Kevin are great team wish I I could get to meet you all but please keep posting love from uk
Thanks
Clint, I love watching you and Sauage Fingers working on these dozers. This the second time around for me on this one as well.
Love seeing you use those Eaton fittings. I actually make all of those one piece fittings. It's cool to see the end use for them.
I really enjoy watching your videos they are always very educational
Thanks
Some thing wrong if you get done with reassembly of a machine and you don’t have extra parts laying around when your done. It’s going to run good gentlemen, I wouldn’t be afraid to own it, especially with you guys working on it. Thanks for the ride along.
Exactly
Thanks
Its Amazing the ROI you can get on used machines as crazy as the market is now days . She looks like a good solid machine. Good Job keeping Kevin under control lol
Lol
Someone has to
Looks like you could use some magnetic trays come in real handy for holding smaller nutsand bolts washers and keys that keep Castel nut keys and pulley keys especially when working outside in the gravel
Like to see Kevin doing prepping and painting
Nothing like the sound of a diesel that is maxed out
Another fine job by the C&C crew! That’s what I like about you guys you don’t skip anything. If it needs replacing it gets replaced! Thanks for sharing, Clint.
I were in the market for a used machine, I'd certainly look first ( and probably last ) to Clint's store!
Thanks
Not Sherlock and Holmes, I think a omage to the old cartalk radio show and call yourselves something along the lines of click and clack, tappit brothers, but in a more heavy equipment vien. 6way and blade?????? 😉😉😉
Great jacket Kevin…
Clint nice job on the dozer will make someone happy older machine but no computer or def to deal with just nuts bolts and steel parts easier to fix 👍
For sure
There has been times working on my equipment that I wish Kevin was on the team so that it would have been more enjoyable. Carry on!
I’ve had to work on a ton of different equipment as my employer was the state and low bid. I didn’t mind it much. The one thing that did bother me was 3 ring binders for manuals. Every time one damn ring was sprung and pages flopped over.
Yes
I hate that!
Great vldeo good to see Keven out of the shop
nice fix and joys of working on modded plant.. getting the parts!!! Thanks for sharing as always Clint
Clint fantastic video I really enjoyed watching this that old Cat dozer has quite a few hidden problems , as you said Cat is not a friendly machine to work on or service Thank you for all your great videos I’m a big fan !!
Thanks
Yep most enjoyable video bro, you and Kevin work well together. Safe travels
Thanks
Good to get the comedy from kev.did I catch him right in calling your fingers little sausages. Where does he come up w this stuff.a good sat.morning tickle.fun stuff.
I’m sure he did lol
I've watched you and Big K work on the various machines. What I don't understand as meticulous as you are at finding and replacing bad/nearly bad parts, How did Dirt Perfect's 850 turn into such a fiasco???? It looks like the "one in a thousand" faults. We know you've gone the extra mile to get him back on track which again speaks to the quality you believe your customers deserve. I would go so far as to say you went to far by fixing his trailer....
Again
Employee issue when I was gone in Florida at auctions
It's amazing when people can approach a problem as adults, find a solution, become friends and move on to better things. Surprising in this day of lawyering up for any suspected slight.
If your sending it to paint leave the floorboard out looked like a lot of rust in the area anything I could leave off I would have primed and painted the rad before replacing the seals it looks bad for the shop's quality of work like leaving the fan yellow, just saying because you do put out good and educational videos
Just past @26:10, Kevin gets cut off by a camera transition. RUclips auto-generated captions transcribed the missing audio beautifully 😂😂
I was at Gravel Pit Depot the other day and they had a bunch of them spider fans things hanging from the ceiling and some had the head lights built in! Maybe you could have gotten one there sooner!
Great video with good explanations and a good time of you two working together. Did the radiator blow bubbles when you opened the radiator cap when it was running?
Lol
Hi guys! Looks like you got a few more boxes checked off... Good work... I was wondering why you don't wear any coveralls? Ron...
thanks for an other great video 👍👍👌
Thanks for watching
I lied!~ one more. Where's the radiator guard?
Installed after paint
Looks like a Minnie 9
I trust that you charge those fittings to the machine/job so your stock control is UpTo date ? 🤗
They check my stock weekly
Where is the radiator grill and engine side panels?
Grill will be installed after paint
Would love to see a custom paint job next on the Cat dozer by Kevin #Unfiltered
What is for lunch?
I love being a mechanic. Pull one thing apart.find other things wrong.😕
Caterpillar كتربيلار
How come you dont build up 2 platforms with stairs that are on a pallet base to move around beside crawlers .
Takes up allot of room in the shop
Thanks for sparing our tender ears by shutting off the camera when you cursed caterpillar for that radiator core not fitting tor the second time. You’ll have to list the custom, one-off, seven square and one angled core radiator as a no cost extra feature when you sell it.
For sure
It is green
🙃
does that cat not have metal grill to go on the front to protect the rad? or did it never have one?
It does
We left it off for paint
Nice to see guys working in harmony like this. Sure does get somewhat nasty jobs to run along easier/better.
Thanks for my Saturday morning coffee break.
while in the army i logged thousands of hours on my D7G in my opinion one of the best all around dozers ever made
Would love to see Kevin go through all the prep he has to go thru prior to paint
If these RUclips videoes had been around in 85', I'd been a bulldozer mechanic instead of a tank mechanic...🤔😉😁
With reference to your comment regarding using American made tools I totally agree.
I far prefer to buy something made in the USA or Japan or sometimes Europe although I think nations bordering on or in the Pacific have declining commonality with Europe these days.
But when I recently did some research on the internet it claimed that the parent company which currently owns Milwaukee is based in Hong Kong.
It also said only a few Milwaukee tools are still made in the USA and many, are now made in communist China.
Lower standards for materials and workmanship aside I avoid buying stuff made in communist China because I do not intend to contribute to maintaining the economic and military expansion and strength for an enemy of democratic freedom if I can avoid it.
Those fan blades on that D7 are reversible push them in and turn them it changes the air flow
Clinton, A parting shot. If you keep badmouthing my beloved Caterpillar, I may have to consider my subscription1!!!! LOL! Meaner folk than you have been badmouthing CAT for years. It's tough being #1!
All brands have there good and bad points for sure
It started like you built it when you get done with a restoration the machine you’re doing always starts like a brand new one cool as Kevin and he’s pretty cool 😎 6:15am 👍😎🇺🇸NY
The D7 seems to be in great shape. Hope it provides many hours of good service to the buyer. Shame about the rust for something that runs so well. I got interested from Let’s Dig, then Dirt Perfect and enjoy your videos almost as much as watching Chris dig mud. Those are my favorite, but I enjoyed your blade rebuild and the D7 as well. Thank you and keep them coming.
Thanks
And thanks for watching
@@texasrancher9318 lol
It sold already
@@C_CEQUIPMENT The buyer also got the video. I think that gives them a good idea of what they are getting. And you’re not just sending them something that has not been done before sold.
why nt weld the fan?? i would try it
Love the 450
We bought one of the first Cat IT 28 loaders in the early 80s. It had the folded core radiator. It would overheat when operating a broom so Cat replaced the folded cores with the thicker cores and I suspect that's what happened to that dozer too. While the folded core will fit in any position, there are two different square cores depending on the position they are in,
Great work, Clint! You, Kevin and Randy make quite a team. So good to see you all doing all the right things in repair with super communication and a little fun along the way. Stay well, stay safe!
Thanks 👍
Smashing mailboxes! We never did that but we did recycle beer bottles at 80 mph a beer bottle turns to power when it hits a highway sign. Of course we kept score.
Bill Clinton you said you love caterpillars cuz that's why you got a truck
Ha ha 😂 love you guys humor. Ya got to like what you do or it is no fun. Damn nice setup you have there Clint.
Yeah Cat likes to hide bolts behind bolts behind hoses behind UBO Unidentified Bolted Objects.😒 nuff to make the pope start cursing
For sure
So, how much did that “cheap” spider end up costing? I’m guessing $1500.
'If we've still got bolts we know we've done it better the second time' - Kevin what a great philosophy LOL. Now for a shave, paint and shine - with a good sale price. Loved it.
You can buy all kinds of containers at dollar store with lids. Store your hardware in them and magic marker on masking tape where the hardware goes.
Should I need a tractor or truck, I would have no problem buying from you. First rate outfit, selling quality vehicles.
You guys are a solid team. Makes life/work so much more enjoyable.
success can be one big pain in the ass, but you and Kevin get it done. Have a ball watching you two guys work together. I really cant wait to see it all painted Yellow or the military color green the green on DP doozer is cool color.
Yup this is my second or third time watching this and it’s always good to for me you guys know how to have fun but using the truck as a Jack is a little risky but it’s a ford 👍😎🇺🇸NY
It's like a prison sentence, that person pressure washing throughout the whole video...... Great video guys keep them coming and give that person something else to clean...... LOL
HORN BLOWS!!! DOES DRIVER????? LOL
Lol
After going to all the trouble to replace the lower seals on the radiator cores, Why ? Didn’t you pressure wash them individually? Especially the ends ! And polish the copper nipples that go inside the seals???
I like this kind of stuff..👍
If you don’t like cat dozers then why do you buy them CLINT
Great video. I love how you keep a positive attitude no matter what comes along 👍❤️
Great to watch guys ! Brilliant to watch you and Kevin working together, I get the feeling that there is always plenty of fun when you two are on the same job. Respect from Scotland. And well done to Hunter reversing that ehhh well loaded dump truck the other day he did extremely well to get even close to the burn pile lol. Bet Chris [ LD18 ] Couldn't believe his eyes when he saw those loads rolling along.🤣🤣🤣
Lol
lol Watch full uncut video of the "slap" then tell me one person who sticks their hands behind back and sticks chin out and wait. Actors will act! Will says it's okay to sleep with his wife just don't talk about her.
Why are you not replacing the same type as you removed a multi wing
Fan to give the correct cooling index
Yeah the fan is like a small block Chevy and the tranny is used in Ford pickups an those radiator trades with a VW
Bettle
Enjoyed it keep them coming. Nice seeing Kevin helping
It looks like that radiator is taller than MBTS! Come on sausage fingers don’t fail us now!
Wind on your mic garbles what you're saying
I remember changing those radiator sections in a 3508 genset years ago. It sucked!
Kevin truly you right hand man Clint, rare to see two guys get along like you two Kevin lucky to have you as a boss as you are having him as a employee. Nice to see quality work on that dozer, you not trying to save couple bucks on parts and making it tip top for someone. (most shops would just tack welded the fan up)
Should have painted places that were ground free of existing paint.
Would like to work in your shop for just one day, FUN
that beast sounds like the half-track at the end of The Dirty Dozen movie!
Nice work on the Dozer. She sounds pretty sweet now. I gotta laugh at Cat and their naming conventions (but not at their prices, then I usually cry). Fan assembly becomes a spider. That one would definitely not fit any of my SBCs.
You're aversion to cat sounds like Mike's aversion to kubota engineering
Yep that’s exactly what happens to the simplest of jobs turns into a major escalation in parts the wrong parts or can’t find the parts the radiator core perfect example of the wrong parts or the fan which took three weeks to get out
That fan blade resembles a ruptured duck more than a fish !
Something got inside that fan cage and a piece of it probably damaged the core.
Some one switch to a module style core because the folded core style sucks. Never run cool with folded core.
Its a very nice D7 g Machine would be nice for a ranch.
juste pour info combien ca peut valoir un d 7 comme celui que vous etes en train de refaire $
Love. Watching your You Tube tape 😅
i have my owen 811 welding &sandblasting ceritfid welding dot ceritid welder dot i was a ironworker for local 40ironworker i got hert down at grundzore on the clean up . i thats how 811welding&sandblasting came about .
Just was watching again, and I'm an industrial internal combustion cooling system tech. NARSA SERT worked in this for 37yrs. I'm looking for a new home you almost have the equipment needed to only do it right! Less than $ 2500 investment, and I'll slaughter your turnaround time and butcher your cost overhead. If you're interested, send me a response if you're looking for a real tech. PS would love to teach the next upcoming techs. I'll work myself out of job if I feel a true tech can handle it. My name is James 🥶🐲
Hmm
Next time you order parts look for the engineering change with the part number, should look like P/N 1234567 EC XX on your bad part , so when you order them they will send you the correct part . Mil Spec are usually non current Engineering Changes because the DOD buys the same crawlers that they bought 30 years ago .
To reverse the airflow push up on the blade and turn it when engine is running it forces them out
