Walder Frey's ultimate troll moment.
Robb's
Lmao true
Yes! Especially how he looked at Robb and gave the “hm look what you could have had 🤣🤔”
Not the ultimate
Everybody thought Walder would give Robb or Edmure super ugly girl, that's why both of them avoided Freys like a plague.
Then Walder just to troll them whips out the best girl.
The way Roslyn says "I hope I'm not a disappointment to you." is wholesome and probably genuine.
She probably thought Robb rejected her because she wasn't pretty enough so she was worried what Edmure thought of her.
Yeah well the Frey ladies weren't renown beauties. Edmure was dreading it till he saw Roslyn for the first time. He couldn't believe his luck. 😂
@@einezcrespo2107Yea the man got a nice beautiful woman damn
@@einezcrespo2107🤣🤣🤣
She was also prolly kept super innocent. Walder was kinda a shitty dude but did his house well
Robb didn’t even see her, he didn’t reject her per say he saw Talisa first, tbh she got nothing on Roslin Robb threw hard
Definitely Robb’s worst mistake. I understand that he married for love, but he’s not in a position to marry foolishly. The fact that Walder Frey was willing to give him such a beautiful bride shows that if Robb honored the deal he never would’ve betrayed the North. Truly a shame.
In the books, it's a little different. There 15 yo Robb (lol) gets wounded at the Crag, and is nursed back to health by a girl named Jeyne Westerling. While he's chilling with her, he hears the news of Bran and Rickon being killed, and he is so overcome by grief and anger that he finds comfort in her bed. Because she was a maid before that, he marries her to save her honor. It's still a sad course of events, but better stupid and honorable than just kinda stupid hahaha. D&D changed Jeyne into Talisa for what reason idk.
Talisa was probably a maiden too, so in addition to being in love Robb would have to marry her to preserve her honor as well. I wish he would have mentioned that when talking to Catelyn.
@@darth856 Yes, but wasn't she Essosi nobility, he didn't have to marry her at all.
It's not Robb's fault. Frey is established as an opportunist who only cares about being on the winning side. GRRM designed his castle. It is a pair of identical castles on either end of a bridge, named The Crossing. The family sigil is that twin castle. The joke is that it is a "double cross." By doing this GRRM is saying that Frey is a natural traitor, not that he is wronged by Robb. The fact that he demanded a marriage pact for the aid he was morally & legally obliged to give Catelyn anyway puts him in the wrong. Frey was looking for an excuse to jump ship & if Robb had not married someone else, he'd have come up with another rationalization. Traitors gonna betray. Heck, he married a granddaughter to Roose Bolton, the Starks' rival vassal. He was already hedging his bets BEFORE Robb got married.
@@tryhardchannel1658 Not to mention he was shrewd enough to leave her home rather than give Frey an opportunity to take out his spite on her.
I love the face he's making at 0:53
"What kind of monster will i be forced to marry .. oh .. oh.. she's a cutie"
dude felt like he won the lottery after seeing those choices just the other moment ago
1:43 Walder Frey being a comedic genius without even trying💀
wow I forget they even included that. The thing is with early game of thrones every little look or ambiguity in acting did have a purpose. Yea that was definitely Walder Frey going "uh boi u coulda just married and just had a side hoe like your dad" and then bran stark is just like..."lemme spit some fire yall"
lol
I know. I at first thought, “ok he might be odd but at least he gave a pretty wife to him.” Then all the red wedding shit happened and I hated him forever
@@jackwilson5164He could have been a trolling mannis. High born people have a stick in there arse. Only characters like the hound, Bronn or Tormond were gangsta. I wish Walder Frey would be this uncomftable uncle during Christmas parties, who is touching this grandchildrens inappropriately, but has enough boundaries not to overdo it.

Despite how horrifying this ended, Tully's reaction to how stunning his bride looks is so wholesome
She's cute as a button
I 100% agree, very cute girl for sure. Looks like a sweetheart.
Robb messed up
1:42 "Yeah mate,. You do it long enough, eventually you are gonna produce a stunner." LOL
Lmfaoooooooo
A stone cold stunner fr
lmao @ that look Walder Frey gives Robb when Roslin turns out to be gorgeous... Ya screwed up, pal!
And got himself stuck like a pig for it. lmao
This is funny and also sets this up as a normal wedding with some rough patches. But I’m only a few hours it would all be over and the truth would be unveiled
1:42 haha yup! “She could’ve been yours. Too bad for you!”
In fact, giving Roslin to edmure was all part of the plan.. The Freys wanted to make sure edmure would not refuse the bride so the wedding could carry on and get them unawares on the feast later on..
@@oscarbautista4156 hadn't he already agreed to marry her before he saw her? I mean he didn't see her face until the actual wedding. He already knew there was a high risk she would be ugly and he was still going to marry her. So I don't think Frey pick her because he was hoping edrume would marry her if she was pretty. He was marrying her either way. Seems more like his choice was a troll on rob.
Tobias Menzies deserves much more credits in GOT... especially in this scene.
The changing looks he shows when seeing the face of the bride is very impressive : lots of expression in there. I really like this character.
But the amount of blinking in that scene was too much. Just gazing in awe would suffice
@@lanawang204 It was the blinking that sold the scene. When we think what we're seeing isn't real, or an illusion, it's common to blink a lot to try and "clear away" or re-adjust our gaze to make sure we're seeing reality.
Love at first sight.
He’s not that good. He overacts.
...
Lmao Robb being like damn she’s hotter than my girl.
one of the prettiest girls in the show😄
The prettiest
What a beautiful wedding i'm sure nothing bad happened after this scene
There was definitely NO bloodshed whatsoever☺️
Everything went off WITHOUT a hitch
of course not, absolutely nobody died horribly.
I know right. it would be the most wholesome scene in the show😊
Surely...
The look Lord Frey gives him is so funny as if to say see you could've been the one hitting that at night foolish boy...
that face he makes with Robb always cracks me up🤣.
In the books Roslin is crying most of the time and catelyn suspects something is wrong. Also Roslin's siblings are not in the twins because one of them befriended catelyn and the other was rob's squire. When she realizes why theh are gone and why she was crying, its too late.
Explain, im lost
@@paradox920
Because they knew the red wedding was gonna happen
That's chilling 🥶
it’s both funny and sad how catelyn is so paranoid leading up to the wedding that all her family members are avoiding her cause they dont take her seriously
@@jamie-ug5wz Robbs wolf too was acting up the whole wedding but in books he was not locked up like the show and even killed few frey men before killed

Pssst...he's gay
@@paulgodfrey4061 so you are also gay when you see a girl you don't like?
I just saw that lol
I cackled out loud when I read this 🤣
Being struck by beauty actually happens. It’s just not usually on your wedding day.
Excluding his captivity, Edmure kinda won the Game of Thrones in the end. Gorgeous young wife, he’s the Lord of Riverrun and considering Arya’s toast probably of the Twins as well, his nephew is King of the six kingdoms and his niece queen of the 7th. Sometimes it pays to be an idiot.
And the other nephew(Robin) is the lord of the Vale.
I never realized this but you're right lol the dude only had to fight in like one battle? He got to pretty much coast out the rest of the carnage
Blackfish said it in the wedding after seeing Roslin about how fools and luck usually go hand in hand throught life and that as much as he loves Edmure he indeed a fool
Well he isn't an idiot but not a military genius like the Blackfish or Robb, and certainly more vanal and charitable.
Edmure wins the Battles of the Fords, where he uses terrain and careful application of his troops to beat both Tywin Lannister and Gregor Clegane (along with other notable Western lords, two of whom are killed with one captured) If Robb had actually shared his strategy with Edmure it might have gone better.
1:42 Walder: Yeah you could've had that beauty AND win the war, scrub lol
So much shade being thrown! Roose at first staring at Robb, then later mad-dogging Talisa. Walder glaring and then semi-mocking Robb. The ladies staring at the Blackfish - LOL
Lmao the Blackfish being a damn legend like always!
1:38
The way they look at each other ❤️
They would have made a beautiful couple.
Here is hoping she ended up happy with Edmure
The look walder gives to Robb
“Boy didnt you fuck up just now”
0:58 his surprised expression is hilarious he expected worse
Now that I've gotten a bit older I can understand why Walder Frey did what he did. He didn't even want involved with the Rebellion in the first place considering all he's ever been is scorned and disrespected by the other houses. He took a huge risk supporting King Robb he sent his own Soldiers and Knights to fight for him, allowed Robb's army and logistical support to cross through his lands, protected Robb's escape route and flanks in case something went wrong, and all he asked was for was one his grandsons to squire for Robb and to eventually receive a knighthood and Arya to marry one of his kids. That's a pretty great deal not only did Robb betray Walder Frey he betrayed the entire North that put their trust and faith in him to do the right thing. When you're a King or leader your people come first your love life second.
Wow. You did NOT just make me realize their deaths are kind of justified.😵 You spit truths, my friend.
I agree that Robb dishonored Walder Frey by reneging on his promise to wed one of his daughters after all the Freys did in support of Robb’s rebellion. However, what Walder Frey did via the Red Wedding is unjustifiable. He violated what is arguably one of the most sacred hospitality customs of the North - i.e., Guest Rights. Once you take in a guest into your home and provide them with food and wine, it is implicitly understood that neither the guest nor the host will harm each other for the length of the guest’s stay. For Walder Frey to deliberately lure in Robb Stark and his family under the false pretenses of Guest Rights in order to get Robb and his men to drop their guard is arguably the most cowardly, dishonorable thing one could ever do.
shoulda just fucked talisa on the low i mean cmon, bill clinton did it
@@Adam-mj5hl More dishonorable than Rob breaking his oath to marry?
@@leightonwebber Absolutely. Don’t forget, Rob Stark made up for his broken promise by having his cousin Edmure Tully marry a Frey girl. Breaking guests rights is inexcusable. You think breaking a promise to marry is worse than luring someone into your home under the false pretense of security and then murdering their entire family in cold blood?
I remember when Arya kills all the male Freys, myself thinking, "omg that means Roslin now is the ruler of the twins, so Edmure is too, that means he can put together all the forces of the river lands and help Sansa and Jon!"
what a fool i was.
@Daniel the Maniel idk wether to laugh or cry
I was also thinking what impact/consequence having the Freys dying would have to the show, but the writers lacked a dictionary to look up the words impact/consequence.
"Uncle, please sit." - Sansa
Lo
Like Dumb and Dumber would even remember that lol
1:43 is legendary!
the way he braces while the veil is being lifted LMFAO ! she's gorgeous omg
Roslyn was beautiful and it shows that despite his past grievances with Catlynns family, he regarded the alliance with the Starks with such regard he saved his most beautiful hidden gem for Robb. The look on his face was a mix of “you’re gonna regret this” and “look what you could have had if you had any honour”
Ofc Robb married someone he loved, not just someone for beauty like Walder implied, but when you have a powerful role to play, you have to make sacrifices
Robb’s loss, Edmure’s gain.
Now one is alive and the other is dead
I probably would be like Edmure in the beginning. He's thinking:
"Oh gods, here she comes. She probably is toothless, or with to much teeth. What if she has a second head coming out of her neck, like Maegor the Cruel? Seven Hells, Robb! Why didn't you told me about the plan to stop Tywin Lannister? Now I I'll have to marry a girl with two heads!"
And then at 1:18.
"Holy crap. This must be the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She definitely doesn't have anything of Lord Walder on her. I'm probably the luckiest guy in the Seven Kingdoms. Suck it, Robb! You could have her but could keep your trousers close, now she's mine. Boy, Lord of Riverrun, married to a beautiful woman, and soon this war will be over. What could get wrong in the future?"
It was Maelys the Monstruous who had a second head.
He gets kidnapped and separated from his newly wed wife and their toddler son whom he didn't know existed and to top it all off, after everything hes done for the starks and his sister's children, his bitch of a neice tells him to STFU when he puts himself forward to be ruler of westeros, despite everything he's done for her.
I feel like Walder only married his prettiest daughter off to spite Robb lol
@@zaynsadiq5536 what did he do for her? Edmure's sort of an inert quantity at best. He deserved to be shut up at the council. He's kind of an oaf.
this is great lol sounds like something he would really think
😆 he gave him the look of "See, they ain't all ugly"! 😂
the look edmund gives his sister, "thanks sis!" lol
lol Walder trolled Robb so hard
Anyone: *if anyone has any objections to this wedding, please speak now..or forever hold your piece*..Robb: *well..you see...um..er..(looks at Talissa)..the thing is this..*

I hope these two had a long and happy marriage. And it looks like the guests are going to have a blast at the reception afterwards and everyone will live happily ever after.
I heard the motif was going to be *red*
@nemumami a red wedding??
😢
Yep old Walder looking at Robb with a look that says, "I'm as surprised as you are that I have a daughter that beautiful."
Walder Frey is a whole vibe
I still think Robb’s biggest mistake was he didn’t have someone wise advising him. Cat wasn’t a wartime consigliere and the Boltons were sociopaths. He needed someone like Tyrion, Jorah, or Davos by his side. Someone who knew how to play the game and persuade him to keep his oath & not execute lord Karstark. I still think if he had someone who was smart politically to match his strengths as a battle commander, he may of won this war. But the deck was stacked against him and he put trust in the wrong people.
Could have taken maester luwin with him. The maester tutored them from their childhood so Robb would probably rely on his advice just like Ned.
@@juxtanner7959 I think the problem was that Maseters can't leave. He's a Maester of Winterfell and somebody had to look after Bran. But yeah, Robb definitely respected him and probably would've listen to him
Actually Roose was an outstanding advisor. Looking back on it, he was absolutely correct in every single thing he advised Robb on.
@@mspionage1743 eh, maybe. I don’t doubt Roose’s intelligence but Roose was also an opportunist, not a loyalist. He knew Robb was vulnerable and took advantage of it. Stabbing him in the heart was exactly a good advisor move.
Rob made numerous mistakes that cost him the war.
Aaaaand he is the only one that actually got to keep his wife and they both lived at the end... :P
When Robb was first told of the planned arranged marriage, Catelyn tried to tell Robb that "there was one" of the Fray girls who was pretty, but he didn't believe her. Should have listened to his mother!!!
Funny cause at the end of the show Edmure becomes lord of the Twins and lord of the Riverlands. And his son will inherit all of it as well keeping it in Tully hands. Arya was ice cold when she snuffed out house Frey that was some badass shit.
The show really fucked up the whole
Houses thing. There were other freys around in the world. Same for the Lannisters and Tyrells. DD treated the houses as if olenna, margery and mace were the only tyrells and tywin, cersei, kevan, jaime were the only lannisters.
I honestly hate aryas character. so stupid to have character able to destroy entire houses and have no consequences

I love how Walder looks at Robb with the “you fucked up” smile. Not just cause Robb didn’t keep his promise to Walder to marry his one of his daughters to keep the peace between house Frey and house Stark but that Robb could’ve married a beautiful woman that makes Talisa look ugly.
