Beautiful beautiful work. If people would read your answers to the comments you would not have to keep replying to the same questions over and over again. You did an awesome job with the application and the Video. I came looking for free motion embroidery. So glad I landed on your page. Give us more.
Beautiful Great and somple insteuctions Easy to follow. I would just suggest rounding the corners of the stanilizer when trimming to make sure they don't peel up with washing and wearing.
I know this video is a year old but I found it super helpful. Just popped over to juju to get the font. I too use sew what pro. I want to try your design for myself and my mother who is in a nursing home facility... hopefully she won't stay there too much longer. Oh and I subscribed to your channel and will be going through your videos for embroidery help. Thank you so much. 🤗
My machine is set at 3 and I leave it there. I never change my tension regardless of the project. Many tell me that they leave theirs set at 0. For me, the biggest factor is quality design digitizing and making sure the material is hooped/floated tightly so the fabric doesn't bunch up.
Love the design of this sweater! I was hoping you could help me troubleshoot issues I have with my satin stitches not having clean lines. I’ve tried adjusting the bobbin tension and upper thread tension and the satin stitch looks very messy. Thank you so much in advance!
Thank you for watching! As far as the stitches not being clean looking, it could be a number of things. Use water soluble stabilizer as a topper for anything the stitches may sink into. I rarely find that it is an actual tension issue for me and I pretty much leave my tensions alone. Smaller fonts might not look as clean with standard embroidery weight thread and I try to use 60 weight thread and a 70/10 needle for small fonts. I don't do many small fonts though. For this design I used 60 weight thread and 75/11 needle. Sometimes if I am using bobbins that I wind myself....the bobbin thread may not be as tight. I try to start with a new (full) bobbin because sometimes the stitching will look messy if I have to change bobbins in the middle of a design. Most of the time, for me, when the stitching isn't coming out clean, its because I don't have it hooped or pinned taunt enough or the design itself just isn't digitized good. I am sure there are other things that will cause the stitching to not look clean, but for me, those have been common. 🌞
@@SouthernAudacity Thank you so much for all of these tips! I’ll have to try 60 wt thread, I’ve been using 40 wt polyester thread. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this information!
Thank you! Yes, when I pin, the pin goes through both th shirt and the backing and then back up. So if you flip the hoop over, you can see a small bit of the pin, but it comes back up as to not get caught up in the needle plate.
👏 great job! I’m a beginner with this embroidery stuff. I have a new machine coming tomorrow it’s a single head 10color change, and omg I feel like I’m going to be scared. I definitely want to try and see if I can find a smaller machine like what you have and just get the basic down pack 1st.
Thank you! If you have a 10 needle coming... you will be fine once you learn your machine... what kind are you getting? I don't know that you really have to get a smaller machine just to learn...there are some obvious differences with single needle vs multi needle.. some say to start small to see if you like embroidery......but it sounds like you plan to do business and learning from the beginning with multi needle doesn't sound like a bad idea if you plan to stitch to sell.
Thank you! For most sweat shirts and tshirts... 75/11 ballpoint works best. I honestly think that for this one I may have used a 75/11 sharp and it just worked out (sorry I can't recall). But for items that may have a little stretch, I do try to use the 75/11 ballpoint .
Thank you! This machine self trims as long as the embroidery designs are digitized/created correctly. Some of the home/hobby machines do not trim automatically. Happy Stitching!
The VE2200 has an "auto trimmer" feature and every time the machine "senses" the jumps, it trims the thread and moves to the next point. Some of the models of Brother do not have this feature. My PE770 (now the PE 800) and my SE425 do not have this feature and I have to manually cut all jump threads.
For this design, I used pre designed font packages from Designs by JuJu and lined the letters up to create this design. For items with specific designs/logos...I use JJ DIGITIZING.
I am brand new to embroidery. I absolutely loved your design!!! Do you happen to sell the file? Thank you for the tutorial it us very helpful. This will be my first test trying embroidery I have a Brother NQ3700D I literally just received.

This is the Brother VE2200 Dreammaker (embroidery only). It is no longer being made, I have had this for some years, but Brother has newer versions available.
Thank you. Yes and I said cover soft, but at Allstitch it is actually Cover-A-Stitch. It is just like Tender Touch, just a different brand. Also, I use Coats Sylko 40 weight polyester for most work. Occasionally I will use rayon depending on the color and project.
This did take right at 1 hour to complete. My machine was only running at 600 (I don't know why I didn't push it up n to 900 stitches) but the multiple color changes are what made it take the longest.

No worries! And thank you for watching 🌞 This machine is an embroidery machine. It's not like the traditional sewing machine we all know for making clothes and such. There are some things that can be 'sewn' together (often called un the hoop projects). But embroidery machines are mainly for decorative purposes. Wow..I'm so glad i found your channel. Would you recommend the embroidery machine your using in this video ? i have a PE600 but i want something to do bigger deigns like your sweatshirt, so I'm looking now
While I love the VE2200.... it has been discontinued and Brother has newer machines. Brother in my opinion has a very good line up, but if you already have are familiar with embroidery, the only thing I could honestly say is go with the machine that will give you the biggest stitch field that you can comfortably buy. Multi needles would be great and Brother, Happy, Tajima, and a few others have really good reps and good machines. But if a multi needle is not in your budget right now, look at some of the machines that at least offer a 8x12 stitch field. 🌞
No, the bobbin thread is white throughout. As long as your tension is correct, the bobbin thread shouldn't show on the top. The only time I make my bobbin thread match the top thread is with free standing lace designs 🌞

Nice result! No puckering and a great design.

Wow! So you didn’t have to actually hoop it at all, I never thought about doing it this way!! Thank you for this video!
Yes! I hoop some things, but I have not found a good way to get rid of hoop burn, so I float whatever I can.
Hooping stretchy things can stretch the fabric too much and cause hoop marks that will be really hard to remove.
