Yes, I just went through the quiz and they asked about allergies and dietary preferences. I have to eat gluten free & dairy free so that's always my first question.
Great video as always, Em! So my husband and i are in a budget... we currently do the Everyplate every two weeks but I'm looking for something else i can do for meal variety. Do you think Hungryroot is affordable overall for what you get? 😊
Hungryroot has high-end groceries similar to Whole Foods, Nugget, etc. Hungryroot has better prices than WholeFoods, but they are more expensive than a regular grocery store because it's better quality ingredients, similar to a Whole Foods vs Safeway.
@Julie Blake Thanks so much, Julie! I really appreciate the response. Been looking at other alternatives instead of only Everyplate and was *thinking* of Dinnerly??? But hungryroot is in my radar for sure!!! 🫠
@@aj8203 I follow a vegan diet, so a lot of the other meal plans don't work as well for me. I've been super happy with Hungryroot. All of the ingredients I've had are super fresh, you get full sized grocery items vs just a portion of ingredient for each meal, and their customer service is amazing. I had a container of pineapple that spilled juice in my box, and they credited me for the pineapple and gave me an inconvenience credit.
Julie said it perfectly! If you're looking for inexpensive meal kits, EveryPlate and Dinnerly are the best options out there. I go back and forth on which is best because they are similar but Dinnerly's meals can definitely be tasty so if you're bored with EveryPlate, I'd suggest checking them out. They also have add-ons (just not a lot). One thing I will say about Hungryroot is that they really aren't a "meal kit" (they're more of a grocery delivery service that gives you the ability to shop by recipes and include those ingredients in your box). So their meal kit meals aren't going to compare to something like HelloFresh.
@Food Box HQ To both you two... THANK YOU! I'm just trying to get my hard working hubby some good filling meals with not a lot of "fuss" for me! Lol Gonna check both out and see what's going on! Especially about those "credits" with Hungryroot 🤔
HR keeps changing what goes into my cart. I select a range of meals and groceries and invariably HR deletes everything I selected and puts in it's recommendations. anyone else have this problem.
The only problem I have is they don’t say where are they getting their food from? I need to know where they’re getting their food from because if it’s by Bill gates process food I don’t want it That’s only thing I’m trying to figure out Organics food that’s not going to be contaminated … does it tell you where they’re getting their food from? We should know where we are getting our food from.
Would you consider a Green Box unboxing? You do not have to have a subscription, you can buy a box when ever you want to. I cannot find any unboxing videos for this organic company..
Great review! Thanks. But HelloFresh gives photos and photo instructions. That is more helpful for me. But Hungryroot does look healthier, but I need a better recipe format.
Edit: A good cookbook, or better yet for an extreme budget is Pinterest, is amazing for people who don’t know how to cook/can’t think of enough variety I’ll never understand why people on a budget and/or people who want to be healthy would ever do this. As long as you have a freezer you can make all of this stuff in much larger quantities (to freeze or refrigerate) for much less per meal with actually fresh ingredients. Especially with better, more nutrient dense meats from a local butcher AKA you don’t need as big of pieces per meal because there’s no gross hormones/fillers (those Kevin’s meat things or whatever they’re called are pretty gross… I got one once and will never do that again). Nevermind the fact that it’s all in airtight plastic. Spare your money and your health and skip this stuff.
Just shop at whole foods or costco and eat salads... Or GROW HALF your vegetables. STOP BEING LAZY!!!! This is a good service if you live FAR AWAY from a city and cant buy organic foods!
Don't make assumptions about people as if you know them. You assume there're lazy... you don't know anything about anyone's life...whether they are taking care of a child with a terminal illness and or caring for senior loved ones and dealing with a chronic illness. I am not saying this is my situation but I know of people in these situations who are glad to have options and are willing to pay for services. Lead with love and kindness and save your judgments for your own internal review. Have a God Blessed day!
@alicemccreary1880 wait, why? Bc I was thinking of trying them, but I don't want to waste money as I did with hellofresh (the recipes were too repetitive).

I'm curious what your order was: 2 dinners 2 lunches, serving size? How many days did you indicate for breakfast, lunch, snacks?
Good question! I’d like to know that too.
Yeah that's a lot of stuff in the box
My items never had expiration dates it was. Frustrating. Lots of money not to know when the turkey expires
I got my first box yesterday stuff was damaged and missing.
I don’t like their point pricing system. I want to know how much everything is
exactly
It is so different from when I used to get them
Is it all organic food? Where is food from? Can you do a dairy free, gluten free option on recipe’s?

@@J.Halllll ok
It’s too late. Bill Gates has contaminated everything. Why haven’t you gone to your underground bunker?
Best way to do that is grow your own or buy directly from a local farmer you trust. This is just a random box of groceries
You need to go on some meds and stop worshipping the flat earth and chemtrails lady

hellofresh stole hundreds of dollars from me and is very unsustainable . no thanks
It reminds me of Hello Fresh.
I love the food box I got… I think it’s “orgasmic!”
Lots of chicken

So much plastic, makes it difficult to consider these options
