Thank you for sharing your ideas. I’ve used variations on some of them over the years. When using wood I’ve always sealed it first to keep any tannic acid from seeping into the cloth. And instead of using screws we’ve always used nails with flat heads a bit larger than the hole and just tap them through the drywall. We use nails about 1.25” long. Caryl Bryer Fallert introduced us to the flat strips of aluminum you can find at big box stores. The length, width and thickness of the strips vary. It does require a metal hacksaw or jigsaw blade to cut the metal to length, a fine tooth file to smooth the ends and a metal drill bit to drill the holes for the nails. And we always scrub the metal to make sure it’s clean. Fallert started sewing rod pockets at the bottom of her quilts once she started entering shows. It’s an extra step but it does give a nice effect. The triangle corners on the quilt back are a nifty idea! Again, thanks for taking the time to post your video. It’s so nice to see your work displayed in your work area.
The simplest method of all is an adjustable curtain rod, curtain rings with clips which can be adjusted to fit any size quilt, and large size Command hooks (5lb size) which can be positioned securely on the wall without nails or screws. Easy peasy!
Thank you, Sherri, for the information on hanging a quilt several different ways!! That large quilt that you showed was one I haven’t seen!! So beautiful as was the smaller ones!! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!!
Sherry, I have learned so much from you. Right now I am doing your BOM using a Christmas fabric and another fabric to get 2 quilts done. I am enjoying this program very much and really look forward to the new block each month. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge. It is much appreciated.
Thank you so very much for all of these fabulous tips. I always learn something valuable from your videos, and appreciate all the time you put into sharing your knowledge with us.
Some great tips. We are renters and for wall hangings I use push pins. They leave a tiny hole that is barely noticeable. No landlord has ever said a word during move out inspection.
Another great video! Love all that you share...could watch you everyday! Would love a pin cushion tutorial using a Dresden design thanks for all that you share! I just received 2 1/2 yard bundles of Happy Days...and have the hearts quilt kit reserved! Thanks again!
Hi Sherri! Love all of these ideas! Thank you so much for sharing. I love the large quilt you are hanging. Is there a pattern for that? Thank you so much!
I have hung little quilts with straight pins and you said you don't. I was wondering why, I don't want to do anything that would damage them. Thank you 😊
Thanks, Sherry! Could you do a follow-up to show the curtain rod and ring clips you use? I've gotten a glimpse of that in a photo. I would like a way to display larger quilts that can be easily changed throughout the year, but I'm concerned about the gap at the top created by the brackets. And my husband thinks it will look like a shower curtain hanging on the wall...
All you have to do is make your sleeve in two sections. Leave a space in the middle where the center bracket would be. It will hang flat just beautifully.

Magnets! Perfect for my front (steel) door hangings! I’ve been struggling with how to accommodate varying widths.

Thank you!
Thank you for these ideas! I found a yard stick (cut to size) also works well in the situation where you used wood trim.
Thanks for the ideas, but I did not make the quilt so can't use the sleeve thing. I don't plan to take it apart.

I use Command Strips to hang my fancy clamps. That way I don't have to put holes in the wall. I also use them on my doors to hang mini quilts.
Do the command strips really not damage the walls
@@sunflowerbaby1853 I have had no issues and have used them over 10 years

Loved the video. Where can I find your pattern for the little wall quilts with churn dashes??
Do you put hanging sleeves on all your larger quilts?
I do. You need them to enter any quilt show plus you never know when you might want to hang it up on your wall
Easier to do before you bind. ☺
Where is web site for magic hangers
What about the poor wall filled with holes
