Hi, it's Andy with ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com, welcome to the Dark Side, from Keeley Electronics. The Dark Side is an all-in-one tribute to one of the greatest albums ever recorded, featuring a host of different effects split into two sides. The right side is all-analog and contains a monster of a fuzz circuit, modeled after a 1977 op-amp based Big Muff. Three knobs grace the Fuzz section, along with a mids toggle. The Fuzz side feeds into the fully-loaded Mod side, featuring five different effect types with a plethora of controls for each. A toggle lets you select one of the effects at a time for a multi-faceted modulation experience. The center of the toggle turns the Mod section into a multi-head tape delay emulator. In this mode, the Blend control selects one of 12 different head configurations for some exceptional rhythmic delay tones. Flipping the toggle to the left engages Flange and Rotary mode, and setting the Blend knob left or right of center changes between the Flange and Rotary sounds. The other side, Phase and U-Vibe works in a similar way, selecting between a four-stage phaser and lush Uni-Vibe tones. An Expression jack on the rear gives you hands-free control over the Rate and Feedback knob, depending on which mode is selected, while an Insert jack lets you plug any number of pedals between both sides by using a stereo Y-cable. Like all Keeley pedals, the Dark Side is made by real humans right here in the USA. Видеоклипы
-"Have you got prince Albert in a can?"
-"No, but we do have David Gilmour in a box"
supernova gamer that is hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well done, you!
never thought I'd hear Us and Them go into Black Hole Sun so flawlessly.

Kirkland Whatley love both of those songs
No it doesn't lol

That intro is the best pedal demo I've heard in my life, hands down.
Hands down the best demo presenter anywhere
Best album ever
Has Andy ever looked happier in an intro?
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve come back to this demo to just jam out. Rock on Andy
God damn Andy. When you hit and hold the first double stop of the solo in any color you like, your face just gives away how amazing it feels to bend and hold those notes up with that rotary tone
What an incredibly versatile and useful bit of kit for replicating those cool 70's sounds but also generating some totally unique 'now' sounds of it's own!
Any Andy You Like
Great video, Andy! You never fail to deliver.
Did anyone else hear automatically the into of "Brain damage" at 1:35?
lorenzoschiavetti197 hell yes
lorenzoschiavetti197 yeah
There's no other way to listen to the album besides front to back
Pete Haight remembering games
I come back and watch this every once in a while because the playing is just that good.
One of your sickest demos ever! Awesome.
Thanks Andy for the extended demo of the tape delay modes with the expression pedal! Really nice! I hope people dig it as a studio tool or a way to help in recording options.
I need this in my life ....quit making such damn food stuff already . I have your 4 knob compressor always on and the fuzz Bender
You're a genius!
Why does anyone do anything?"
"I don't know, I was really drunk at the time!
Fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck. I need this pedal.
You killed it on Any Color. Great playing. Really enjoyed it. One of my favorite Pink Floyd works of art.
Andy sure gets to the essence of 'Dark Side' - always enjoy the demos!
I love this pedal! One of my favorites the fuzz is incredible and the delay is too. I'll never get rid of it.
Still have it?
@@toddlogan9023 yep on my pedal board as we speak. I gig with it regularly. I've started using the rotary and uni-vibe more often too . I have an expression pedal to it but seldom use it
I think my one will get rid of me.
What a great Cover at the beginning! And the pedal sounds good too.
I really want this pedal. I love the sound of the fuzz and tape echo!
What an amazing idea! Album tribute pedals!
It is more just a wholly Pink Floyd one it is just called Dark Side as you know a cool name.
They need a muse origin of symmetry one
I need a Disraeli Gears pedal
Ian Anderson
yeah
Fuzz factory and phase 90. Sorted :P
I love the Andy video’s!
Brilliant Demo from Andy, he always plays a style that Opens Up their Effects.
I wanted to hear a demo of this. See a few on RUclips that only play Pink Floyd covers or show nearly the same sound/settings. I want more. I see ProGuitarShop and know Andy will do an awesome demo! I mean seriously, when HASN'T he? Also love the fact that he mostly plays without a pick! (How bout that volume swell around 6:27?!!)
This was the one I'd always been waiting for! Mine has replaced 3 stompboxes on my board and I use the loop to squeeze in those rarely used pedals on the fly when needed. It's a keeper!
Brilliant pedal, brilliant playing
What a good improvisation of Breathe!!
Awesome !
I have to say, I've only recently begun to really explore the world of non-distortion/OD pedals, and as someone who doesn't exactly have pitch perfect hearing (or really any hearing above or below about 600Hz), your demos are perfect. I'm the kind of person who cranks everything to 10, strums a few chords, picks a few licks, cranks everything down to 1, repeat... and sometimes I still can't tell any difference. Somehow when you turn a "presence" knob 1/64th of a turn, it'll sound like a completely different rig. Thanks!
Awesome Andy,very cool pedal.
You don't know the POWER of he Dark Side of the Tone......
Andy, you have the best job ever!
And its a job he is uniquely suited to do excellently.
Starting a demo with Steven Wilson is always good. Love watching these! :)
Been a fan of Andy for years but this demo is easily one of the best I have ever seen from anyone.
Thanks so much, I remember that like it was yesterday. Really happy how it came together while only using ONE pedal!
Andy
Great demo
There is no dark side of the moon, really.... Matter of fact, it's all dark.
The only thing it makes it look like is the Sun.
Then how do they find all of the rabbit holes.
If you give them a sudden short, sharp shock ...
So is the earth.

great sound!crazy delay!
Wow Andy, stuck that one great bro!
Good thing is a pedal came along after the band retired. Great tribute, awesome pedal.
great left and right separation..the tele, the les Paul, strat.. nice arranging,Andy
Always great to hear Andy play Pink Floyd. Great interpretations.
Now I have to buy one of those!
Awesome pedal!
Andy is my god. Jesus, he's a hell of a guitarist
It’s the best pedal I own.Keeley pedals are always good quality ,this one is very versatile.
damn, killer job on performance and tone-sculpting
Thanks, this was one of my favorite demos!
One person certainly isn't in the right!!
He's cruisin for a bruisin
I don't know, I was really drunk at the time
great gig in the sky was nice, very vocal sounding leads, like outcries..cool
God I love the sound of this pedal
Nice!!!
One of the best demo of the Keeley Dark Side. Thanks Andy!
Nice!
Andy is feelin this one
Somebody get this man a record deal!
Omg That BADGE Riff!
Great playing man!
This looks like the greatest pedal ever created. Shame that I already have so many of the component pedals that make this up, so I can’t quite justify the purchase.
Amazing demo!
Oh, man. That U-Vibe did wonders for Breathe.
Andy havin fun.
Got one off reverb for 140 pounds. Best pedal on earth
Where the f#*k have I been ? Holy shit !! This is the most awesome pedal out there. Those rotary toanz !! And everything else..Woah. Getting one
Chills.
Chills
Impressive pedal. Does it come with a tech?
Not a demo but an excellent tutorial on how to play the synth leads on Any Colour You Like!!
just got this pedal today!
I like this kind of sound. I grew up on it.
First swear word I heard on a record was Money! Remember the day vividly. ;-)
Spark one up!
Sick Floyd intro, Andy!
So late to the game here, but Andy, you are the man.
I wish Andy played in my band.
Ive tried this pedal before - so good
When is someone going to put Andy's blood into a pcb? One of the best demos I've ever seen...mostly because of Andy's wide knowledge/appreciation/love for music.
it all comes back around. pretty soon prog will be cool
Prog never stopped being cool! :)
Tell that the kids
There's been a huge wave of popular prog in the past 10 years, so you're not wrong.
The guy above is right, there have been some big acts on prog revival from 2010 on.
new prog or revival of old stuff? what are some bands?
WOW!!!
... hey roger, i have a good friend for your band! smooth andy! very smoth like always!
Great demonstration! Do you have a copy/link to the settings of how you configured it to achieve each of those effects?
I really want this pedal. Not to rip off Gilmour, but you get some unique and valuable tweakable effects in a small footprint. That vibey tremolo sounds really good
And the Human-Jukebox strikes again! I bet you just sold a bunch of this for Mr. Keeley just by the intro of this demo. Mr. Keeley keeps bringing amazing pedals to life. And you keep selling them!
Andy is amazing! Thanks sir!!!
Do the likes go for Andy or for the pedal? or both?
I guess Andy would sell a shitty pedal too... :)
Sweet....
Epic
This pedal is quite attractive and it really reawakens Gilmour's tone. Obviously it is not the same but I guess the company's aim was to redefine his tone rather than capturing it.
Yes, I agree!
Well, I guess the aim was to create something new but bearing Gilmour's original tone in mind. I think it would be redundant to create a multi-effect pedal packing all the original small units into it. The Dark Side is rather a neo-vintage pedal.
I did not realize Andy still had this channel 😊
Hello, I still maintain the archives here so thanks for checking these oldies out. For new vids, I have my own AndyDemos channel and content on Reverb.
Thanks!
Andy
Thanks for the Floyd fix Wednesday.
Amazing! Now we need pulse sound model:)
That tele tone at 3:39ish is soooo nice.
Also greatest comment thread of all time, too.
I cannot figure out why this has an Op-Amp muff circuit in it, which Gilmour never used, instead of either a Ram's Head or Fuzz Face for dirt.
Hah .. That last Trower riff. Nice.
You just cannot do a pedal demo with a univibe of any kind and not get Bridge of Sighs in. It is against the rules :)
That was nice.,. I wanted him to continue 🤣
Is the Delay only functional by itself or in conjunction with the Fuzz? Can it be used along with, say the Phaser/Univibe?
You had me at 'Any Colour You Like'!!!. Shut up and take my money! Wait...you already have. Just ordered. So stoked. This looks like it's going to be fun. What amp is used in the intro cover? (phenominal cover by the way!!!)Thanks in advance
curious where this would sit best in the signal chain. Ive got an overdrive, EQ and tape delay to use in conjunction. usually fuzz is good first ,delay last, etc. so
Anyone know if this pedal could be tweaked just right, along with an octave shift pedal, to get the sound of Marooned from the Division Bell album?
I see a lot of potential in this, especially with bowing the guitar...
I already have a reverb pedal, but I want a chorus and delay pedal. Would this be a good pedal for chorus and delay?
Any guitar you like!
Amazing all guitar played that song...
Excellent pedal and rewiew!
p.s. New cool Strat from G&L?
This seems like it would be good for nailing any number of 1970s sounds. Robin Trower, Roy Albrighton...the list goes on. I'm thinking about this one.
I was eagerly awaiting for this review by Andy. When I saw this pedal at NAMM I thought "Holy macarroni, can't wait for Andy to put his hands over it and do a review".
I'm confused... where is the review? I just see a demo.
@@HouseofChains81 Exactly. He didn't do a review, just a demo.
