It will always piss me off how many perfectly good caskets go to waste in abandoned funeral homes like this! Those things are expensive and these could go to those who cant easily afford them for their loved ones! I wish I could figure out a way to get them and donate them to people.
When my grandfather passed, we found during the viewing, stains on the casket bedding. They said it was from makeup powders. We refused that. Then as the pallbearers went around, we found the residue of fluids leaking out. Finally, a sticker under a handle indicated another person. Apparently, they used that casket several times before him. The name on the sticker traced to someone buried weeks earlier. They had to exume that person, and found her in a cheap cardboard box normally used for cremation. Her family too had been
It may have been a cremation rental casket . This is a casket that is used by families who wish a viewing before cremation. Once the services are done the cardboard liner is taken out . The shell can be used again.
Remember growing up in Barbados and hearing many stories about the disgusting, dishonest funeral homes and their owner, used to go back in the late night or early morning ,to dig up the grave and take the casket back. It was not until one early morning i was waiting for the bus ,when saw two men walking out the church yard with a casket, i ran for my life, because I was afraid. Also went to many funerals where the families would badly damage the casket, even going as far as pouring paint on it, only because the poor families did not want their loved ones robbed of their last home. To this day I have no thrust in them. May their souls REST IN PEACE 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙌💔💔💔💔💔💔
Where do you think the leaking body that was "in" your grandfather's casket was put? Modern day caskets have an exterior threaded cap that unscrews where the deceased's name and date of death IS put. Other caskets have a small clear plastic tag inside the casket with the deceased's name and date of death on it. You found a name taped BEHIND an exterior handle grip of your grandfathers casket. Where do you think the dead person that was in your grandfather's casket was put?
@JE4-1 1st off condolences for the loss of your grandpa.I can't believe after all the heartache and grieving that funeral home did this to your grandpa and your family! Did you guys sue or press charges maybe? Plces like that Need to be held accountable to the fullest! Glad you were all sharp eyed and refused their BS about "makeup stains"!
Crazy to think someone lived their whole life, had kids, made friends, had the same experiences and feelings all of us have, then their ashes are left in an abandoned building in a cardboard box completely forgotten about. Some actual garbage gets more care than these humans remains. I wonder if they have family wondering where their remains are.
As a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for 8+ years now, I’m curious to wonder why the state or the bereavement Board hasn’t stepped up earlier. Obviously these owners got away with it for so long until it caught up to them, we undergo inspection almost every month where we have to submit financial reports , also all our staff and myself have to renew our licenses every year since it’s all be tracked in a database and we are not allowed to perform any bereavement and funeral duties if our licensed is expired. a lot of people think when they open a funeral home that they can make easy money but not realizing that there’s a lot more to it, the fact that these guys at one point where a respectful business and then started going in a dark criminal pathway shows either they couldn’t keep up , poor business management or they just didn’t care anymore. And unfortunately families end up suffering after.
Every Funeral Home is highly regulated by the Federal Trade Commision. "All" records of any and all pricing of funerals/ merchandise and service fees etc. by every funeral establishment is monitored by the Federal Trade Commision. All funeral costs/profits, administratin costs and services rendered are recorded, filed and subject to filing and review. ...been in the business long time. It's not like you see in old comedy movies or foolish hearsay. It's just the same as any other licensed/taxed business.
@@abandonedcentralHave you been to abandoned mausoleums and cemeteries? I have seen videos of abandoned cemeteries and mausoleums where people are still interred. Crazy!!
That Cadillac would start. Probably has low mileage. The old man was the honest person. Whomever took control after he died is the crooked one. What a waist of a good business. Millions of dollars waisted in lost business.
That is sad that they weren't trust worthy. When both of my parents passed I used a funeral home that my family has used for many years. They went above and beyond service
I worked in a florist and the owner also own the undertakers, he said make sure you up sell because thats when they are most upset and don't care about price. I couldn't do that so left You shouldn't take advantage of people like that. Im in the UK.
It's kind of a "weird" business, and most people don't want to know too much about it, so it's easier to hide bad practices. I've heard that there's a big corporation that's taken over most of the business, and so the mom and pop funeral homes start trying to save money by cutting corners, reducing staff to a skeleton crew, and then aging staff and sometimes drugs lead to the eventual disgusting result you see here. It happens a lot. If it's another old business, like tailor or shoe repair, it doesn't really effect the community, but a funeral home is dealing with the dead, and it feels more like a betrayal of community trust. They should quit before it gets this bad. I guess it's hard if you're the only local place.
Extremely wrong and about as disrespectful as you could get. After watching this, it makes you wonder or question everything after they pass. It shows how even a place like this, that was very reputable once, can turn out to be like they were. It makes you wonder how even reputable funeral homes or crematoriums may be doing the same. Good video though.
Fun fact the oven is a "Flair" it the same model as the one featured in Bewitched so all this is from the 60's (1960's as disambiguation for the one who read this in a millennium)
Greetings, I am a funeral enthusiasts and have always wanted to own a Funeral Coach (Hearse) the Coach in this video is my dream Coach. Is there a way I can Email you to get further information on this location as a means to try and purchase the Coach and perhaps a Casket to place inside it as well? Thank you for the creepy but neat content. Cheers 🍻 TKC
That is not a thing to do that to people who just lost their love one's karma will find a way to get back at the people who did that to those people that are grieving

I agree, it sucks seeing usable caskets going to waste all the time. They should be removed and used for people who can't afford them.
They also make *great* coffee tables. You have store space inside as well. I have a coffin just for that purpose. In my living room.
I was thinking the same thing. They could be donated to low income families or homeless that pass.
Im more upset that there are still remains on the premises.
@@abandonedcentral alot of the items there are wroth a lot of money 💰

That is actually common practice all over the world . Ever heard of grave stacking ? It’s appalling what truly takes place in these businesses

Wow
That's so disgusting that these supposed *"people"* did that to there families and those that passed.
That's shameful/pitiful.
Taking advantage of people at their most vulnerable time and the loved one that they were entrusted to bury .
There has been so many too…disgusting taking advantage of vulnerable people…😡😡

Wow that’s so disrespectful. How come the city won’t come and clean that up? Interesting and sad story.
The city never cleans it up. 95% of the times after they are shut down by the state they end up like this.

Just as I was thinking 🤔
Bless your heart. You are one brave soul, going in there! I couldn’t do it, even if I had some liquor in me. And I don’t even drink.
State should have sold off everything and property to give a little back to those effected by these evil people

Lamb funeral home here in so California was the worst. They pulled out people's gold teeth.
Thats horrible! Thanks for watching our video.
That Marvin Gaye album is worth some money . What’s going on is a top 500
Most all funeral homes are fraudulent in many ways. But they get away with it. I have zero respect for most of them.

Those cremation remains should be given to the family
What happened to the owners? Prison I hope...
If it's the funeral home I'm thinking of and looked up, it said the owner went to jail.
This guys voice is just gorgeous,,,he can talk to me all day❤❤❤❤❤

I LOVE it, another abandoned funeral home!!! There are always cremains left behind. So sad.
You got more bravery than me to gi up in there. Thank you for showing this

So Sad leaving everything behind
I have that Marvin Gaye album. I love vinyl records. You should see my collection including some rare 78s dated as far back as 1902.
Nobody cares about your record collection
Why didn’t the family take the pictures?
Because when you are rushed off to the state pen there is no time to gather belongings
They should start putting them in prison
The owners to this location did serve time. I believe it was 12 years
Sad to think that many of the cremains can never be identified or clamed by surviving families.
Those caskets look comfy
How crazy can you to opening a funeral home and not have any 💳 to open up a funeral home.

TBH, impressed that there has been no graffiti or squatting. I don't believe there is any"thing" there, why would anyone stay back in that stuff.
