I did the same as you this morning, but at part 1:32, it was a bit difficult to remove, it was a bit stiff, I removed the 2 silver screws on the back and removed it, but I'm a bit worried when re-installed, it is currently located in the decal shop.
Hi, thank you for the video. I can't take off the side plastics according to the instructions. holds firmly and I removed all 3 screws. how do you keep holding it? Thanks
Nice video. Thank you, just subscribed. Did you think about getting the colour matching rear seat replacement instead of the black one? Or aren’t they available for this colour yet. 👍😎🇦🇺
Thats a good question, Its relatively a new colour for Honda so I would expect some difficulties to find it, but eventually the vendors should pick it up, you got me thinking, so I am going to search and get one :)
I followed the instruction from their website. I got it all right but my license plate light doesn’t work. I tried to reinstall the plugs and after that my blinkers doesn’t work and my display doesn’t turn on when the ignitions is on. The bike starts but display and rear lights doesn’t. Do you know any reasons why could this possibly happen.
Great video! Explains everything in great detail! However, one question. Did you use the stock license plate light? Or did you use an aftermarket white light?
I went with the white light after market, still looking to replace the tail light too with a good LED light as it looks outdated, but havent found a good option yet.
I have the same bike and have replaced the long tail with a similar mount. I looks good, the big problem that I have now is wet roads, the wheel will shoot all the water on my back and top of the helmet, it's always raining where I live, I get covered with dirty road water..
Hi. I'm thinking of installing the tail tidyl. I'm worried about soldering cables ( i dont want to mess up factory cables in brand new bike). Did you use original licence plate light or the one whith cames with tail tidy fits plug and play? Thanks!
I used the one that comes with tail tidy, it fits perfectly into original connectors, but you still have the option to move the original one if you prefer so.
I got Evotech Performance, only because it was the only one available for 2021 model, nowadays there a lots of options, I would suggest checking out Aliexpress as well as this is basically a piece of metal.
Nice video sir, I own the same bike as you do, and I agree, that from a side view, these shorter tail sections look very nice. However, I am of the view that I do not want the my rear wheel to be protruding with no 'body-section' over it in case a careless car driver in stationary traffic 'bumps' against my rear tyre. Of course, the extended length of the original assembly would not prevent this from happening either, but the tail lights do, at least, indicate where my bike 'ends', if you like. I will retain my original 'tail-piece', as I don't think it looks so bad really...and you know how much the average car driver dislikes us bike riders on the roads at all, ha ha. I'd rather not have my rear wheel 'exposed' for this reason.
I respect your point of view, thanks for commenting. I usually always do the mirror check to ensure the car behind me is slowing down or stopping, and planning for escape route.
@@NYDStories Thanks for your reply...there's one other thing too...if there's water about, a shorter tail tidy allows water to ingress into the electrics under the seat..the original longer unit deflects some of that water..a little bit, anyway :) Each to his own, of course..the CB 650R is a great fun bike...not much to dislike with it :)
Filmik fajny ale ten uchwyt to porażka ani to ładne , bo nie ma proporcji w liniach względem koła itd a dwa pierwszy deszcz i błoto na plecach. Faktem jest, że fabryczny ogon to porażka. W swoim moto skróciłem go o kilka dobrych centymetrów i podniosłem kąt mocowania. Wygląda super i chroni przed piachem. 😁😁😁
I want remove the panels on both sides of the rear seat, to make it more slim and concise, but seems there're some stuffs inside the panels, wondering how to do it🥵
Hey man. I actually ordered the wrong one off of Amazon. Would it still work if i were to bend the part where the bolt mounts onto the bike? Thinking about bending it straight, but worried it might not be the same length where the bolts go.
The part used in this video: Evotech Performance Fender Eliminator '21+ Honda CBR650R/CB650R Neo Sports Cafe (Part Number PRN015287)
where did you purchase?
The single and most important video on the internet.
This video is so good I downloaded to show my mechanic the 3 minutes of step by step. Probably saved us an hour from doingbthe guesswork.
That’s a really cool bike 🙌 Looking forward for your new videos!

Usually its the screw underneath, that holds it in place, also it holds on clips as well.
Thanks man for the great video.
Thank you! Perfect instructions.
Add a rear wheel mudguard and you'll be golden

@@NYDStories Honda has then as an OEM part. Not some cheap ripoff.

you probably messed up the connector colors
+1 most likely connectors

yes it is beautiful but what about the water on the road?
Had several road trips in heavy rain, haven’t noticed any issues so far.
Perfect
Beautiful machine. Thanks for sharing
Did you test this on wet or muddy roads ? Does it protect enough ?
Yes, tested in the rain, no real protection, but works for me.
Do them tail tidies stop the dirt from the road ending up on your back?
Not really, dont get much but on a rainy day the passenger seat gets a bit dirty
Great vid! Where did you buy the hw?
I got it from Motorstarz Canada

Sorry to hear that, I had several heavy rain trips this season, and haven’t noticed any difference.

How did you get the Ontario plate to fit
Had to use the adapters that go behind the plate
Did your adaptors have a bend in them? Mine are flat
Can I install it on a CB650 R from 2019?
Nope
@@NYDStories thanks, I saw on their website that there is a 2019 version
Where did you buy the backseat-cover?
Aliexpress
Hi, would you recommend me where you bought the aftermarket passenger seat please? Thank you for response.
Got it from Alliexpress to test it out, but the quality is meh, going to look into other options
Thank you :)
what’s the brand of that fender eliminator and where did u get it?

@@NYDStories thanks buddy, i ordered the same thing, i got the same color as your bike too, looking forward for more of your video
Evotech is the best, aircraft grade aluminium !!
dont buy alixpress if you drive a new nice bike
just got the evotech yesterday😊
@@bzl8300 why? its a license plate holder not a critical bike part.
nice! stingers on all these bikes are so FUGLY.

Do have a link or a exact name for the part?

I wanna see more mods

Absolutely, adding on more mods and will shot a video on it too with some feedback as I test them out.

There is a probability that after bending it wont survive much.
link for purchase?
I got mine from motostarz.ca, the part brand is from Evotech Performance, I believe it should be available at most big motoshops.
