I’m currently here at fort Sam Houston for 68w taking the mod 4 test Monday… let me tell you Iv never had so much info crammed down my throat! This is something like a 6month course for EMT we are learning in less than a month before we go to the whiskey side. But it seems like this is ganna be a good career path. If I can pull through lol!
Yeah, it can definitely be intense sometimes, but you got this! Best of luck!
Interesting! I don’t remember having a student council back in 2003…back then we were in bays, but when we phased up we eventually could earn 2 overnight passes a weekend, which was awesome! Good video!
I’m in echo rn just took all skills heading to whiskey next week. Fun asf bro
I’m at Foxtrot rn. 3 weeks left and I’m done. Very mentally, physically and at times emotionally challenging
Keep pushing forward! You got this!
What a coincidence! Been looking at AIT videos all over RUclips, then you drop a vid! Keep it up man.
I got you!
About to graduate from 68W AIT on August 3rd. We are probably going to be the in-person graduation that the family can attend before everything lock down again. Lots of things have changed as of right now everything is on lockdown again because of covid. It was a lot of fun and you learn a lot but you just have to push yourself, pay attention, and have fun.
Thanks for the input!
When did you get your duty station orders??
@@Miaow69 I'm National Guard so I already knew where I was going when I enlisted, but all my active buddies got their orders towards the end of EMT phase
@@Miaow69 we got ours towards the middle of AIT
@@Miaow69 I'm active duty I got mine on week 4 of 16

What? Y'all didn't get up till 5:30 in basic? Lucky!
They had been letting people off base for the past 5 or so weeks, but it is locked down once again.
Damn that blows!
When they lock the base down, does that include prior service students by any chance? I’ll be going to fort Sam Houston February as a non prior service student, just curious what to expect. Thanks!!!
Any tips on mod 1? Especially anatomy stuff? All that went through one ear and out the other I can’t make it make sense to me
What have your study habits been?
@@TheBenAllen. sorry for late response passed mod1 and 2 with a 76 and got a 76 day this Wednesday on mod 3 so sitting in a 76 gpa definetly gonna use all my resources available for mod 4 to try to get my grade up
Are family members allowed to come visit you on the weekends? My civilian family wants to take a road trip to see me but they don’t know if they can come on base or if I can come off base…
I have this same question! Have you found any info on it so far??
Prior Reserve soldier. I’m choosing 68W silly question 🙋♂️ am I gonna be able to take my golf clubs and golf on the weekends?
I’m in a similar situation and wondering about that as well lol
@@kellysanchez4145 idk about ait but once you’re in a unit I don’t see why not
In Foxtrot company in Fort Sam Houston San Antonio rn my man
Hi! Do I have to be wearing the US Army Patch I got after the forge when I report to AIT?
I'm an certified EMT, would I be asked to help with instruction? Or help my class mates understand a part of the process?
Let’s gooo 🔥🔥
Hell yeah!
Can you talk about 68w in the reserves?
It’s pretty much the same
I’m considering between being a Navy corpsman or Army combat medic. The corpsman active duty contract is 5 years. How long is the minimum active duty contract for 68W? Is it 4 or 5 or 6 years?
4 is what i got.
from what ive talked and seen with my recruiter the only contracts u can do for 68w is contracts of 4 years
Hey dude, 68W has a 2 year option.
Can you become a medic based on your asvab results?
68W reservist here. As with all MOSs, the 68W MOS does have minimum ASVAB score requirements to be eligible for the role.
It's not really a question of CAN you; you NEED good enough scores to even qualify.
What are the NREMT apps
Is 30 too late to sign up? And could you build a life/career around the job?
No
Shipping out in 8 days (:
On the 9th? Me too. Fort Jackson?
I’m at 68w ait right now
How do you like it? Anything new?
So that’s what you look like with hair huh Reverts?
@@llAPARTll hell yea
@@TheBenAllen. it’s not bad, school still very fast paced. Early wake up like you said. Covid restricted us to post. Masks indoors at all times. Ummm not much else is too different. 🤟🏼
Can I workout at the gym right off the bat? Just graduated bct today
That will depend on your company commander. I was 2012 and the gym was about the only place we could go without question
Can you make a video about being a 68W in the reserves and what its like?
