@@Agent1W its an oversight on how their sounds are played, most of the time they are running around or staying still so they only programmed in the run cycle sound, but they do actually walk in specific circumstances though due to an oversight they weren't given a regular walking sound.

They still bounce in steam version of half life, I just tried it.
I powered through the whole game up to this chapter just to check this.

I tried doing this on the "Black Mesa" mod, but the women will not walk when "notarget" is on, they'll just stand there until you kill them or take notarget off.
In Black Mesa Source they don't have it

@Pershingtank Nope, I have the original Half-Life anthology. But I've also had once a problem that the game was as pixelated as your's. If I remember correctly I had to reinstall it and then the smoother graphics came back.
@DIM0RI I see now. Apparently, the game was set to 400x300 resolution.
@EvilPoliceman Mom got me the Game of the Year Edition over ebay a few years back. I only downloaded a game once, and only 'cause my disc stopped working.
@DIM0RI Half-Life came in 1998, though I have the HiDef pack that came with the 2001 Blue Shift. Perhaps yours is on the Source engine?
@Pershingtank I am playing Half-life 1 on original Source Engine and without mods such as HiDef pack, or HLFX, and even my HL1 isnt so pixelated D:

the ps2 version does have cheats too but not console and the cheats are better you dont need to put in impulse for the ammo
