Thank you for an insightful review regarding a mixed ecosystem of products. I really became a Samsung fan with my Galaxy Note Ultra and I have not looked back. However, I was interested in the ecosystem that Apple products offered. So, I began my review of the Apple MacBook Air and iPad. For me, I became even more impressed with Samsung Galaxy offerings in laptop, tablet, watch and earbuds. In my use case of business, productivity, student, light creation and gaming. I found that Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360, TabS tablet, earbuds and watch offered the best features and integrated performance of the Windows/Android operating systems I have seen to date. With Samsung Galaxy, all the products work extremely well together and offer exclusive features and apps like Samsung Notes and the S Pen. I use these features everyday across my smartphone, tablet and PC. It is unreal how this can enhance your productivity from note taking to solving problems long hand. Good video. Keep them coming.
secure folder hands down the best integrated software feature so as the maintenance mode which is a big relief to the Samsung users as everyone has concerns while repairing their phones that the repair shop might sneak out into your data in the name of checking your phone but that concerns remains no more with this maintenance mode feature
If you tamper with the notification settings on samsung, you are lost.... 10 years with Samsung devices, notifications are the biggest problem they have and that's why I got an iphone.... you can also sideload on an iphone now.. ..also with third party applications you can easily find the director function in the camera...a little searching is needed.....
Me too. I use Samsung Note 20 Ultra and have an ipad 8. I bought an ipad just because my previous workplace use a specific OS in Apple. But, I love both.
I have always been a Samsung phone user (since my first smartphone, the original galaxy S, after moving on from Nokia) and and iPad user since 2014...My main computer has always been Windows however. Currently I have a Samsung S23, airpods 3 for my phone, both iPad pro and Samung Tab S9 and a thinkpad with airpods pro 2. I will never be an iPhone user and your video made me realize how many advantages I have over iPhone. Here in Europe nobody cares about iMessage. Airdrop is not a big deal since I sync everything with Dropbox and if necessary I use sendanywhere. I miss multicontrol though... I might move to a Macbook only if they made one as light as my thinkpad nano and with cellular (not happening) or a desktop where you could upgrade RAM and storage (even less likely). I won't give up the iPad pro, but I use my Samsung S9 and and S8 ultra more and more... I love my airpods
Just like secure folder, don't forget about multiple user accounts on Android. You can pass the phone to a progeny, parent, or spouse and avoid tainting your main profile.
seperation of work and personal apps and notifications can be done in ios with focus having lock on apps also can be done with shortcuts side loading is the only problem you will face
I'm a Civil Engineer and I've been using a Macbook and a cheap Realme Android since last three years. There is no problem in transferring photos and documents from Android to Mac and vice-versa like few people say. Never cared about any ecosystem. This entire ecosystem is just a gimmick to sell their products more. Ecosystem is only for professionals like app developers or web designers, for rest of the citizens it's not that big deal.
I have iphone 13 and AW 7& ipad mini 6 in Starlight. I was getting tired of Apple products and got a Samsung s21 FE and loved it so when i got a great deal to trade it in and get the Samsung S23 FE i was in love. I got a samsung 6 watch and a samsung tab 8 and havent switched back yet
That’s almost like my setup. On top of what was listed, I also prefer Samsung for multitasking, fast charging, and ability to pause while recording video. When it comes to earbuds however, I go with generic brands… some have great battery life and I have a tendency to lose them so it hurts less when I only spend $30 on a pair.
The worst part about BT earbuds -- ESP expensive ones -- is that users can't replace the battery. The battery life on my Samsung Galaxy Live buds (purchased Black Friday of 2021) is getting progressively worse. I've for the most part "babied" them, but since I used them nearly every day for over 2 years now, their battery life & health isn't nearly what it once was. Thankfully, I won a pair of Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro buds in a giveaway this past summer, so I've relegated the Samsungs to outdoor use and as backup buds.
It feels like nobody really uses the Apple ecosystem. Apple Notes, Music, iCloud, etc. When all devices are from Apple and you also use Apple services, how can Android be used sensibly? Unfortunately, no one seems to answer this.
Thank you for this! I was wondering if it was pointless to get a Macbook as someone with Samsung phone and tablet. But, this is good to know it doesn't make that much of a difference if I never switch my phone.
I know people rave about the Apple eco-system but the idea of it actually puts me off getting an Iphone. I'm scared that one purchase would inevitably lead to another whereas i am more than happy using just my Samsung phone and a windows laptop
Lol, yeah I feel ya. I recently changed from a S23 to Iphone 15 pro (first iPhone ever). I really wanted Lidar for work applications, and face unlock as I often wear gloves, so when they finally implemented USB-C I changed. ..It was not long before I swapped out my Buds 2 pro for Air pods pro 2. Then my Galaxy Watch 4 for Apple Watch Ultra 2. In those cases I was thrilled with the upgrades they are over their Samsung counterparts- but now I'm starting to eye up MacBook's which would functionally be a downgrade over a windows laptop for me, and also swapping my Galaxy tab 7 for an ipad even though I seldom use it... all for that lure of the ecosystem.
Just today, coming from an aging iPhone XS and being in the Apple ecosystem, I was contemplating (asi in.. what if) buying an S24, S24+ or even an S23 Ultra but after watching this video its definetly a no go. The reason for contemplating the switch was purely economical (iphone prices are just expensive). The reasons explained in this video doesn't really compel me to switch to Android. I just don't do photos, videos or care about the work/life balance. I do care about synching calendars, contacts, notes, email, file sharing and pretty basic office stuff that just works. Even buying a movie from Apple TV without an iPhone would be kind of painful. Then again thanks for sharing!
Lol when you said "hey google" my nest home activated. Very encouraging video, I used to have samsungs from 2011 to 2017 and kind of wish I'd never switched. I got fully enmeshed in the apple ecosystem a few years ago with an iphone, 2 macs, ipad, airpods, and apple watch(back when I had money lol). I do love the cohesiveness of the ecosystem, I love starting a task on my mac and being able to pick it up on my phone but I'm getting kind of annoyed with apple's crap lately though. They had to be legally forced into enabling sideloading and even now they're only grudgingly complying in the EU. I still need a computer or a hacky workaround just to get a custom ringtone on my phone. No consistent back button after 17 years is just ridiculous. Even the base models are too big and chunky now, and the iphone 16s are only going to get bigger. I use an SE 3 now and love it, but it's not going to last forever and rumors say the SE 4 is going to be 6.1" with face ID. Ugh. I absolutely _despise_ face ID and I know I'll be forced into it once my SE3 finally dies, so samsung phones and their fingerprint scanners are looking mighty nice. I can live with a 6.1" phone if it means I get to keep my fingerprint scanner.
Being able to swiftly share any files to ALL KINDS OF DEVICE must be like a basic thing between the technology world and not like an ecosystem exclusive-only feature just saying. Other things can go and still be ecosystem exclusive maybe idk
I tried using an iPhone (more specifically the iPhone 13 Pro) a few years ago, and that did not go well. I'm a software engineer and very rarely have issues with a new piece of tech, but the iPhone, and more specifically iOS, were a different story. The OS was quite buggy, very inconsistent, and extremely limited. I had issues with the keyboard (the stock keyboard was was missing some key features and I installed a few 3rd party ones, but none of them worked well enough, or had weird quirks, no doubt because of some Apple imposed limitations). Notifications were horribly implemented, clipboard management was nonexistent, multitasking was very basic, and the cherry on top was the back gesture, which sometimes worked, other times you had to tap a button positioned very awkwardly in the top left corner of the screen. There were many other smaller annoyances (like the incredibly slow scrolling on long pages or documents), and the list grew so much, that I just decided to go back to Android. The experience I had with macOS was quite good, but iOS is a different story. Apple made some progress with the newer releases of iOS but it's still a very limited OS compared to Android, and in my opinion, it is quite inferior.
I splurgle on the most expensive iPhone (I think $1.5k) and gave it a few years but couldn't wait to get rid of it. IDC if family or friends talks about blurry videos(I believe its iPhone thing but don't want to dwelve into it). If you like to thinker, iPhone is very limiting and although I loved thinkering to see how far I could push the iPhone it saddened me why I couldn't do this and that which I could easily do with android...
Soon we will all have the same messages iphone and android phones. And also photo and video sharing will have high quality. This should've happened years ago.
I have almost everything Apple, and for years always had an iPhone and Samsung phone. Late last year, I went with Pixel phone. I do like the Pixel, but in the next week or so will be trading it in for an S24+. I really miss Samsung devices.
silly reason why i stick to samsung is because of the samsung app Sound Assistant... it has this feature called individual app volumes. weird that you cannot do the same thing with other android phones. >.
Sound Assistant is great. They should just include it by default in the OS! I found out about Sound Assistant because I was trying to record audio while music was playing. By default the music would just stop when I pressed record, but Sound Assistant has a "multi sound" option that enables sound to play while in camera app.
@@jeffreytuthe material You on android 13/one UI 5 is something you won't see on iPhones, not only one UI is giving stock android vibes with material you everywhere and Google feed on the far left but offers more customisation than the pixel itself. Thanks for making this video. I am an apple ecosystem user and really wanna try Samsung phone since ios performance recently really sucks (14 pro user), poor battery performance, laggy keyboard, inconsistent with the autofocus, and others.
Im still an Android loyalist, even though I might be getting the iPhone 15. As soon as Apple announced RCS support, my interest in the iPhone dropped like a rock. (I was mostly interested in the iMessage feature.) Though, I would keep the 15 to try, but I probably still prefer my midrange Samsung Galaxy A53 5G even if it's half the price of the iPhone 15.
What is so special or tempting about iMessage? Especially being an Android user? I have installed Beeper and Beeper mini but I did not message anyone on iMessage :D
One suggestion I have that you have not mention in your video is Quick Share, you can use this to transfer files wirelessly to a non samsung user i.e. iphones, laptop and other android devices, all you need to have is fast internet connection, as the files will be uploaded on the cloud and will stay there for almost 2 days. So this is good if you need to transfer files wirelessly. hope this help!!!
I'm in the same boat. I have an iMac and iPad at home and at work I use two iMac computers, but I'm still rockin' Samsung phones. The only reason I consider switching to iPhone is for the same reasons: airdrop and iMessage, but I don't want to be trapped in Apple's ecosystem. It's a lot more difficult to go from iphone to Android than it is vice versa, especially now that Apple decided to do away with traditional SIM cards. Using an Android gives me more options in choosing different brands and phones, which I like.
We need more ecosystem RUclipsrs. I feel like many are all apple or all Android PC. And when people switch they go all in. Get iPhone buy all apple, get android get all windows machines.
The messenger issue is just for people in the US. Elsewhere people mostly use third parties apps like whatsapp and there is no difference at all between ios or android.
Great video. I am in the same boat with you I have Macs at home and I've always had Samsung phones. The file sharing is my biggest aggravation . I'd like to know how you get smart switch to work on a Mac. My understanding was it does not work. With new Max Sonoma, I cannot even get DEX to work
Many people say they don't do android because it lags without knowing the principles behind lagging and choosing to stick to some brainwashed worldly mentality. Great Video and Great Beginning though 💯👏
There are numerous reasons why I prefer Android over iPhone, but the most significant one is the freedom to discover and use unique apps and games. I find mod apps particularly useful since I don't have to pay to avoid ads. Moreover, Google Assistant, Google Keyboard, and many other Google services offered by Android have really helpful features. The customization options are also excellent, and the user interface is more versatile compared to that of iOS. All these reasons make it tough for me to switch to iOS.
It's an interesting video from a practical perspective. I've been a Windows and Android guy since the beginning. I'm more open to switch to a MacBook than switching to iPhone right now. Actually only the battery annoys me on my Windows laptop, apart from that I am fine. Currently I also see more benefits in Android which stop me from switching, the keyboard is an important one, for example. (I use special characters like Á É Ö Ü which are best on special layout only Gboard on Android has) The Airpods are almost perfect but I'd probably use earbuds with multipoint support (like my current Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 right now).
I have an iMac and I find even the user interface is so confusing and requires so many extra steps to do some stuff like sharing files etc. I hate that if you want to copy/paste and you don't remember their weird keyboard icons that you still end up pulling up the menu to see them. Why can't they they just put CTRL or ALT on their keyboard like everyone else.
Great video, I agree with you love mac laptops and ipads but much prefer Samsung phones. With that bieng said do you happen to know a good way to tether Samsung s23 to macbook pro for internet service when traveling? Thank you so much in advance.

Ha I have it in reverse. I'm a long iiPhone user (and iPad), but I just recently bought a Tab 9s Ultra because of the amazing OLED screen because I meanly consume media on my tablet!
Nothing at all wrong with that setup. I love my Samsung ecosystem (the only pieces missing are a Galaxy watch & laptop). I far prefer my Tab S7 Plus to my iPad, esp for productivity. If you ever decide to use your Tab S9 Ultra that way, you'll find that DeX is a game-changer.
@@sharkfintech5893Even though I use a Mac for work I've never used my iPad as an extended screen. I think it's best to enjoy everything if it's any good without having any weird childish biases towards the different players (Apple vs Android, etc.). 2:01 Could someone guide me on accessing the director's view on a Samsung phone? Is this feature pre-installed, and is it exclusive to the S23? I remember the old Samsung Galaxy S7 having a similar feature. I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus and A34, but I can't find the director's view in the camera app. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
It looks like it might only be a feature in the S-line (starting for S21). If you go to the camera app, tap "more", it should be there. If not, then it's not available on the phone I guess.
I have a similar setup. MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, AirPods Pro, + a Galaxy S24 Ultra & Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. I tried a couple Pixel a series phones to dip my toes in the Android waters and really liked it. Android is so smooth these days and less buggy than iOS. I really got tired of the iOS bugs. iOS has become very stale and boring. It really hasn't changed much since iOS 7. It's like Apple is on iOS 7.9 at this point. One of my reasons for switching to Samsung was I hated the Apple Watch. I'm loving the new Galaxy Watch Ultra though!
Great video as I see benefits from both apple and Samsung too, I use both brands from tablets, phones and cellular smart watches too getting best of both worlds!
ChatGPT I was kinda thinking of switching to Samsung too. Can't get my hands on a Pixel here in Malaysia- not officially, at least. So, Samsung seems like the way to go for an Android phone.
I too have Mac Mini, ipad and Macbook Pro for years, but struggled with the idea going iPhone because it has some limits and can be very boring as they are not really customizable compare to my pixel. I was open and considering going with an iPhone but think I will be upgrading to a Pixel 8.
I am doing the same thing. Samsung S24 phone and all others are Apple devices. I think the apple watch is not working so well. I lost airdrop, iMessage (sending messages on my MacBook), and I miss Face ID - Samsung has some face biometric but it's not working so well.

and Tada Samsung s20 and I can't agree with you more, samsung does give so much value and especially the back button makes it so much easier at the end of the day.
Hi. I am using a similar setup. But for me the back buttons are a thing of the past as I find the gesture based swipes more convenient & getting more screen estate. Why dont you like gestures? Regards
If the gestures are doing right then it maybe not a problem.. iOS gestures is good for left handed people.. for right handed one..meh.. Android gestures are more user friendly than iOS..and being able to revert to old classic button navigation is a plus for some old people who prefered classics over modernization..not everything about tech can be forced..
So many are addicted to that back button my dad is one of them he says he can’t live without and why doesn’t have any plans to move to Apple.
I didn't know about maintenance mode! That is a great feature.

They took that out
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN Wrong. I have it and use it on my latest Android.

What do you use for file transfer?
what do you use to transfer files ?
@sharkfintech5893 same... I didn't baby them, but the ones I got free with my S20 Ultra also died after two years of nesr daily use.
What password manager do you use? Samsung passwod, or Google? And how do you synchronize your password with your mac?
Its traps you... thats the truth. Then again it works. If you can do with an Android like the OP then you are going to be fine.
Hey this video was so good! I'd love to see one where you talk about the various apps you use on your phone and perhaps stuff like bixby
This is the kind of set up I have. 3 apples and one samsung. Thanks!
Same. I use Xperia 1 V, macbook, ipad and ipod. I cannot stands iPhones, alwasys get bored of them after a couple of months.
you can pair and sync the android to your mac book i did and it works perfect for file transfering like photos and songs and other stuff
By default the music would just stop when I pressed record, but Sound Assistant has a "multi sound" option that enables sound to play while in camera app.
it's a great feature, and samsung knows it. so you know, stick with them to have it. lol @@jeffreytu

Thanks for making this video. I am an apple ecosystem user and really wanna try Samsung phone since ios performance recently really sucks (14 pro user), poor battery performance, laggy keyboard, inconsistent with the autofocus, and others.

Great video. I published an article in my student newspaper on the same topic last year of how Android is far superior to iphone.
For wireless transfer use transfer anywhere or nearby share
Great video. It's nice to be able to use whatever technology you like. Regardless of being Apple or Samsung or any other company.
A seriesis garbage...get S23 or S23+ if you can afford and trade up
I use same m4 mackpro with my s24 as I use 3rd party apps and stuff for communications and tbh it's awesome so far I love my s24
Might want to change that secure folder code after this video 🙂
One suggestion I have that you have not mention in your video is Quick Share, you can use this to transfer files wirelessly to a non samsung user i.e. iphones, laptop and other android devices, all you need to have is fast internet connection, as the files will be uploaded on the cloud and will stay there for almost 2 days. So this is good if you need to transfer files wirelessly. hope this help!!!
How do you setup a work profile on your s23? I just use the secure folder and people from internet says its the "new" work profile.
6:40 you can use Google's nearby share to wireless share files
Or quickshare for a picture or video link with full quality and we don't need time stamps for a 9 1/2 minute video
Good video. Do you have it setup to get your text messages on your iPad and Mac?
Tried two IPhones the XR and 12 Pro Max but happy with Android. S23 Ultra, iPad Pro MacBook Air M3, Garmin watch and Samsung Buds 2 Pro. Works fine.
Great video. I am in the same boat with you I have Macs at home and I've always had Samsung phones. The file sharing is my biggest aggravation . I'd like to know how you get smart switch to work on a Mac. My understanding was it does not work. With new Max Sonoma, I cannot even get DEX to work
you can use blutooth i do it for wireless transfers
Many people say they don't do android because it lags without knowing the principles behind lagging and choosing to stick to some brainwashed worldly mentality. Great Video and Great Beginning though 💯👏
Okay I have Samsung and so far so good but you got me intrigued why lagging happens ?
(I use special characters like Á É Ö Ü which are best on special layout only Gboard on Android has)
The Airpods are almost perfect but I'd probably use earbuds with multipoint support (like my current Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 right now).

The M series MacBooks are on another level. After adjusting to MacOS it's near impossible to go back
Same here, I have a mac, AirPods and so on but my phone is Andorid.
Could someone guide me on accessing the director's view on a Samsung phone?
