- Today we're riding Professor X, the newest Proline at Sentiers Du Moulin in Quebec. This is easily the hardest trail at SDM - This Video is sponsored by Quebec City Mountain Biking - who brought us out to explore five impressive trail networks. Huge thanks to Guy Charles and Sam for showing us around and also all the hard work from the LB Cycle crew, Sentiers Du Moulin, and everybody else who was a part of this.
Sentiers Du Moulin - Or SDM is the second stop on our trip (it was supposed to be the second but it was very rainy the day before). SDM has two completely different sections; the Maelstrom side with Wolverine, Magneto and Slab City and then the Original SDM side with King Kong, LBC, Viking and now Mammoth. To get the full experience at Sentiers Du Moulin, you need to spend at least 2 days in the area, but three would probably be ideal.
For Lodging we stayed at the Manor Lac DeLage by Empire 47 which was about 20 minutes away. We Ate at Chez Boub, and At the Buvette right at SDM. In the past we've also stayed at a Cabin on the Maelstrom side and I would recommend that.

The wood is larch. Bought from sawmill nearby. It has a natural insect repulsive a bit like cedar but is much harder so good too for structure. And it grows in Quebec.
Always nice to see passionate people riding our local trails. Especially a masterpiece like that one. Big props to all the LbCycle volunteers!
That rock work is staggering. Obviously you'll need to update us at some point, when you have a chance to go back and ride the completed trail!
Quebec week is the new shark week
19:24 is why Phil is the best. Just sending it with limited intel and riding it perfectly.
You have that backwards. Phil can do those things because he's worked hard to get where he is. Just sending it is how you end up on those fails vids.
Great riding in wet conditions 👌 Thank you for showcasing the incredible work of these volunteers! 😊 ✌
While he was on sabbatical I met the trail builder they were talking about, Ben, at Baker Creek in Knoxville. He is a very cool guy and super chill. He does fantastic work!
Such a creative trail!!!! I would sit there for hours thinking of line choices and then decide I would die if I tried any and would walk down 😂
11:05 Man went: ⬆↙"ehh"↗⬆"aw I missed it" 🔁⬆🔁↗↖⬆ "hehehe"
This place and their rocks is soooo majestic. Awesome place to ride !
These guys are all super chill and looks like a great trail. Wish I lived around there.
Helipad... Oh my word, that section looks phenomenal
That rock work is absolutely phenomenal. Quebec MTB is 🔥
Love ya phil, inspiring me to get out to quebec
Incredible riding, incredible trail design.
This is how we built the trail. Professeur X , un film sur le plus grand projet de sentier de vélo de montagne au Québec

Good trail work fellas.
The woodwork we're doing at SDM is done on "pruche" / hemlock (i guess that's the good English term). This is a Canadian wood that's supposed to have good durability and it's "raw" finished makes it not too slippery compared to others
Very cool, thanks for that! Thats what we try to use in Vermont when we can. :)
Our first choice is rough-cut larch from a sawmill. If not available, we use rough-cut hemlock.
@@sentiersdumoulin1oups 😣 my answer wasn't completely true 🤦 thanks for the completion about the "mélèze"/larch
@@danplanteqcca I always mix up Larch, Tamarack and Hemlock. Apparently Larch and Tamarack are the same.
So aweosme trail 🤘🤘🤘🤘
How can you remember trail feature that much with all the trips you do! You are amazing!
"you always find toads.. idk how you do that" thats Hailey for ya! 🤣

Just a couple days before the opening, I'm going in soon the film the whole trail top to bottom, all the feature are ready, signalisation is suppose the be pretty much done, since I haven't seen it yet, I'll skip your video to keep the surprise :p
I like doing that too when i know already know a trail is supposed to be good, the surprise is the fun part! You'll enjoy it, i can't wait to see the finished trail!
Signalisation = Signage for the non French speakers.
