Brushing your hair 24/7 makes your hair grow a lot faster then u think I had waves since I was little I got tired of it and said I wanted to switch it up and try coils or twist so I started brushing everyday and doin the wash method where u brush in the shower and I would put healthy oils in my hair to make it look silky to give it that shine and smell but it also makes your waves come in faster me doin that everyday I went from waves to pulling my hair down past my nose in like 2-3 months and mind u my hair was super low that I couldn’t even comb it and I grew my hair that long it took me just one summer before school to get it that long brushing your hair pulls it and makes blood flow through your head so it stimulates hair growth so take my advice your welcome enjoy your hair journey oh yeah and exercising playin sports and eatin the right stuff helps too

I let my hair grow about 7 months now and its about 4-5 inch and i planing let it grow about 1-2 months so you will need a hell a lot of time to grow it
So to me the dread sponge is great for starting with shorter hair then as it gets longer just going t o palm rolling works best for me but occasionally I do use a sponge when in a hurry.

I definitely have 4c my hair is so nappy that I cant do nothing with so I stick with dreads.
I have mixed textures I believe 2c and 3a would the technics be the same if you had just one texture I've always been interested in dreadlocks but always not done it but would be interesting
Just means you should use one of the methods that work for looser types like crochet hooking to start/maintain them, but they'll lock up a lot easier than if your hair was just 2c. I think you should go for it, it's good to try new things, and you'll never know if you like how it looks until you try it.

Speaking for somebody with 2b 2c kind of hair, one thing the guy can do is switch to a dread shampoo ASAP. And use a “micro fiber towel” while it’s growing and by the time it’s long enough you might already have a process/progress starting. No promises it’ll work but that’s how I’d go about it. Anyway peace!

I have had my dreads for 3,5 years and i still use maybe 4-5 hours on fixing them each week. I have straight hair, so that’s why. My dreads are pretty neat, and they are almost always fixed. They are also locked up. But dreads take a lot of time to manage in generel. Wash it 1 to 2 times in to weeks. Don’t you worry, they will lock up.

Short straight hair can be locked up with towel rub!!! I did it on my 2b hair ( 1 inch) and have now really individuel freeform-type dreads. That method is very unterrated
u can do it, he already said that, but it wont look neat like how it will w textured hair. if u do it and then crochet it itd look good prolly

@@vuks-fj7fl yeah straight hair freeform dreads are very frizzy. And none of them look the same they have crazy loops and stuff. But some people like more natural hairstyles. And he just talked about sponge rub, thats a different thing. The sponge has wholes in it that section your hair. With towelrub the sections will all look differently
