Stephen _ ye his hair is thicker and curlier, but it worked for me. I don’t really care about having perfect sections and I have fine 2c-3a curls so it would annoying tryin to individually section my hair. And I’m mixed black so my hair is more on the 3a side than on 2c

@@Relax_Rombey because the dreads look maintained and Thin so he probably started with sponge rub then freeformed, where as freeforming is doing nothing to your hair and letting it dread by itself

Frizz won’t ever go away it’ll just be more tamed, you can palm roll them to help keep some of the frizzy hair in. If it’s more the roots just let them be, you can do a Re twist and it pull some hair in but it won’t ever be perfect
on top of what the other guy said, frizz will make your dreads thicker over time. don't worry frizz is completely normal especially when you have a straighter hair texture.
I have a 3b/3c hairtype and my dreads were locking up reaaaally well. I retwisted every two weeks and I use castor oil when I do it. My hair was two times as yours in this video. I tried using the locking gel in this video and it made SO MUCH FUCKING BUILD UP THAT I HAD TO COMB THEM OUT. NEEEEVER AGAIN. Oils are muuuuch better to use

if you already have your hair sectioned out and there are already dreads forming, i suggest just being patient and letting them grow out.
