hey can you send a link to the keyboard?

Can you make a keyboard for me
@@Voidifyz and the Amazon stuff? I guess I can search it from the video flashes
Hipyo: "Only items from amazon..."
Betty: "Micro Centre!"
I'll get you next time...
😀
Good luck with that
😩
Hipyo thank you for the spoil
why only 4 replies 😂😂
Really nice video, I prefer challenges and upgrade videos to reviews so seeing this one made me exited and you did not disappoint. Congrats on the win!
Variety is the spice of life. But we need reviews to know what NOT to buy.
Subbing thanks to this video. I have the "same" keyboard as the one in this video, and seeing how easy and relative cheap it can be to modded to sound like a good, decent one is honestly very inspiring. Makes me want to try it after learning more about keyboards, tools everything around it
so did you upgrade?!
so did you upgrade?!
The funny thing about this video for me is that I went to the UK for 3 months, and I bought this keyboard thinking I would throw it away when I'm done working overseas. To my surprise, I actually loved this small keyboard 😂 I had a small area to work, and this keyboard saved my butt and never once failed me. I didn't have the heart to throw it away, so I made space to bring it back home with me, I still use it when needed. I didn't know I could further customize this keyboard, and this video is giving me ideas
Pro tip: If you have 5 pin switches and you want them to fit in a 3 socket pcb just clip the 2 plastic legs off the switch
Really surprised she didnt do that in the video!
@@Rockett.they were outemu hotswap sockets, the pins would most likely not fit in the sockets
@@vicenarycave They can technically fit. It just requires a LOT of filing and patience. You'll also ruin your chances of selling the switch at any cost.
@@J7T800 yeah I know, but if the pins are too tight, most likely the sockets will break
@@J7T800 if you don’t file the pins
using the wraith switches (from tecware phantom elite+) was such a big brain move! hahaha Hipyo tech was stumpped! Nice one Betty!
Prime day i bought a keychron C2 Retro off amazon (cheapest full size hotswap) for 40$.
spent 60$ on etsy keycaps
38$ on amazon holy panda switch
did the basic foam and tape mods.
board sounds great for a budget setup. have it as my work keeb
Budget? You spent 138 bucks on it. How is that budget, lol? And 60 bucks on keycaps? Man, some people really have too much money it seems.
I bought a 20 dollar keyboard and did some mods. Tape and a plastic/ rubber thing that I have in my kitchen cabinets and just bought some switches (creamy yellow) it sounds amazing. I might buy key caps.
you should order some switch pads just little foam pads that go under the switch. i have a budget keyboard with cream yellows and put the switch pads in them and it made a noticeable change it sounds good!
@@thewheels1422 you got any recommendations?
you dont have key caps on a keyboard-(i know its swappin em)
I knew you were going to win as soon as I heard that board. Those Wisteria switches are some of the most awesome budget switches. The tactile especially.
Ty for this- super helpful. Just an FYI in case it was missed; The "custom cables we use" link in your description isn't hyperlinked all the way. Keep up the good work :D
When you were doing the typing test at the end the captions thought it was applause😭😭😭
Outemu sockets are the death of me. So I bought a board to mod for the first time and I bought some gateron gpro yellows and was shocked when I realized that the pins were too wide. Cut to a few days later, a LOT of trimming and I got them to fit. Yay! I actually was looking at wisteria switches, and was planning to trim off the extra legs to fit my 3pin
Earned my subscription. Amazing youtuber, inspired me to build my own custom keyboard.
Awesome! Thank you!
So I recently discovered, you could have used the wisteria switches. The only catch is that you cannot use them in any non-otemu PCBs. You can cut the extra pins off and it'll work in an otemu board.
0:54 So apparently a purple switch is like brown, but lighter. Standard about 40 G instead of 55 G. That's purple for you.
Hi Betty, if you want a new mousepad you should look at the Saturn pro because it feel the same as the Saturn but it’s softer.
I like your videos you are funny and peaceful at the same time.I bought a mechanical keyboard in 50 bucks I think I’m going to upgrade it with All the knowledge you have in this Chanel!!
That is awesome!
Great video. Could you provide links or names to the products you used in it?
That space bar
It sounds better than my $160 keyboards space bar
i live over 2 hours away from the indy store and have alr been there once and i’m on my way back i built my first keyboard when i went on a budget of $110 i highly recommended micro center
2:33 omg wasn’t the rule to buy everything from amazon?
I’ve never seen guidelines before that’s really cool
Hipyotech always finds a way to break his keyboards lol
Thanks Micro Center!!
My keyboard is 29,99 from amazon too!
"what the heck is a purple switch" MageGee "When you want blue and red at the same time"
her keyboard sounds better than my $250 oneee 😭😭😭 i gotta mod like her
Man I love the color scheme of those replacement keycaps! Is there anything close to this without the cat theme?
Awesome Vid!
Thanks!
You slayed Hipyo. Congrats Betty 👌🏼👌🏼
presentetion diff is real. urs is way better video than his. i almost had a headache
Hee! I've been looking at those same keycaps! I was amused at the space bar that says 'Cat B*tch.' Because what the hell?
woah thats the same keycaps as im using, love ur vidss
How do you keep the kinetic sand in place? I mean I know it stays, but still? maybe press and seal across the base?
lol you uploaded before hipyo :)
Love these competition videos! ❤
Glad you like them!
Ohhh, I've been waiting for this video and it did not disappoint. Now I have to go watch Hipyos and see what he did (besides break it lol)
i remember having a crappy magegee membrane keyboard. those were the dark days
I have a 68% keyboard and just bought a set of Akko Sakura (45) switches just to try, if I like it I will buy a second set.
Enjoyed the challenge videos, S & C won easily with a nice looking board that works! lol
Great video, fun challenge and the best Modder won. Congratulations Betty...
Thank you 🤗
I literally just bought epomaker wisteria switches for a gmk67 build. sucks to see that you didnt use them :/
All I know about purple switches, is Akko purple. Just like Akko Blue switches. Tactile.
Keep doing what you are doing! It is really entertaining. Super cheap!!

Hey, I was wondering if you could upgrade the Langtu GK65? I would love to see the results!
6:23 hipyo is gonna what? 🫣
In one of your old articles you recommend neoprene or sorbothane for keyboard dampening. Where does poron foam fall in that lineup?
Can u pls link all the items you used in the description? Im on a tught budged and trying to get the same keyboard
Love ur vids idk why i wasnt subbed before cuz iv been watching for a while
damn I got Goku chasing after my ass now
Cheapest RGB, Hotswap 60% in the Philippines is only 12$ 😅
Only that linear and tactile switches are gonna mess up someone with OCD (ME)
Did I miss the links for the parts used in this video?
Could you recommedn a budget keyborad that sound good( around 50$)
Hi Betty! I just recently found your channel after really getting into mechanical keyboards and noticed this video. You showed my Amazon review for this keyboard! Yay! I'm a star! lol! This inspired me to mod mine and make a RUclips video on it. Can I share it with you and get your feedback? I don't want to seem like I'm trying to promote the video here in your comments, so is there a way that I can send you the link? Thank you! Love your content!
Why kinetic sand price wasn’t included in the mod budget? 0_0
But… have you heard about the “Floss mod”??
For 80, this is crazy good.
actually you can use non outemu switches on outemu mounting by cutting the pins of the switches half
Im new in keyboards, outemu means 3 pins switches.. im confuse. Thanks
@@EuPedroGameiro yea, they are 3 pins but mostly the problem is from the keyboard mounting that smaller than the other switches pins so you can't use like Cherry switches on outemu mounting without mod it
@@invertthelab6532 so as you said you need to cut 2 pins right?
@@EuPedroGameiro yea, the copper pins so it will sit right on the outemu socket, just cut half height of the pins, you can use nail clipper. if you are not sure the right length, just leave about 1,5 mm or like tha, test it by placing it on the socket, adjust it until it sit right and when you press the switch it registered right. just be careful. coz if you fail you need to throw it into the bin. no step back. if you are not sure just using another outemu switch that may meet your favor
@@invertthelab6532 Thanks mate....im new to all of this hehe
What are the best gateron switches for typing?
depends on preferences, but milky yellows would be good
@@wuachurra thankyou bro!
@@wuachurra so where I live I can only get phantom yellows, ink v2 yellows, cap golden yellows, yellow g-pro, gateron kangaroo ink. Can you like rank these in order from best to worst so I can get an idea of what falls under my budget and is good too? I'm new to the keyboard stuff so I don't know anything.
Where did you get the switches??
u should try the NEWMEN GM326
bro istg if I literally try to buy from amazon my delivery comes to 100 dollars 💀
where do you get the wraith pink switches
I literally have a sautering iron in my closet. right now.
Hello, what is that mall? When you bought the keyboard?
Are u ever gona do the kraken pro 60? :/
subscribed, love the vibes 🙃
thank you!
Hmm I remember Hipio saying that everything purchased for the keyboard was to come from Amazon. Which it seems she did.
I found a cheaper one for 19$
Frr that cool
Great Job Betty!
thanks!
next challenge the most silent keyboard pls hehe
can you upgrade the XUNFOX K80 ?
How much did the kinetic sand cost? Because you couldn't fit it in the budget
Amazing how he lose by himself and by his own sand tech xD
What is the best macOS wireless hot-swappable 75% keyboard under $120?
There may not be a “best,” but subjectively I’d go with a Keychron K3 with Gateron Red Switches on the hot swap PCB and some Krytox 205-G to lube them all with. Two layers of masking tape on the back of the PCB, bandaid mod the stabilizers, rubber o-rings under the key caps, and some Eva foam and poly fill for sound and vibration dampening in the bottom of the case. Replace keycaps last if you can afford it with some double-shot PBTs. Should feel like butter and be super solid and thocky. I did this with a K6 and it came out great.
I’m sure the cheapest keyboard is 100% layout
can anyone find a link to the magegee keyboard?
Make a keyboard that uses different switches
I think betty won because her’s actually works
"For some reason the P key works" is basically just this: ruclips.net/user/shortsSsDyNOB1hZs 😂
still waiting for the ROG azoth review
LINK FOR KEYBOARD???
is 200 usd keyboard a budget keyboard?
I want those keycaps ngl lol.
can u review the newmen gm610
Can some1 telll me if the portion is hydra 10 is a good keyboard.
I RECOMMEND THIS AND SHE DID IT!!!! 🎉
@@Unlisted786 idc I feel like it was cause I comment abt it
I hope everything is ok. You have not posted in so long!!
Lies! False Advertising! Swindled and Hornswaggled! I just bought a Perixx 5300 for $25 (104 key, Kailh box browns, soldered) which is $5 cheaper than your Magegee. Not the cheapest keyboard on Amazon. I feel so deceived.
I cannot believe s&c would do such a thing
You always make me smile - love your content!
I'm so glad!
magi gi keybord!1!
Yo guys what do i do
Buy keychron v1
Or make my first custom keyboard rk61
With plum blossom keycaps gateron milky yellows
And lube stabs
Custom sounds more fun.
Keychron is easier. Pick the version you like better.
@@puthenveetilnoel ok well i dont really know how to open a keyboard and foam and tape so idk
@@DiegoEnrique2023 if you want a really easy one for this purpose, you can try the KBDcraft kit Adams. The 60% one with everything included is $100. You build the case from Legos. Switches key caps and plate foam included. Switches are prelubed. Just gotta do the stabs. I personally dig the Lego aesthetic as well. And it sounds great with minimal modding (I holee modded the stabs and tempest modded the PCB). It was my first keyboard build and was really easy.
You can also go for the barebones without the switches and keycaps and then pick your own set. switches and keycaps. For like $70
There are definitely cheaper kits, but the value and the Lego aesthetic sold me on it.
