Just a heads up, having worked in the Walmart electronics department, anything back there from the Onn brand is actually Walmart brand. Onn is basically the great value of the electronics area
Ik you commented a long time ago but I’d say some of the onn products are actually pretty decent, I got a monitor for one 100 that has a 120 refresh rate and a mini sound bar that sounds good too

One of my friends had that keyboard, he liked it a lot, but the problem was that the keys jad a strange way to plug into the switches, some weird stems, which broke after taking it apart to clean after two weeks, unusable afterwards, that's why i don't recommend it, because you can't even buy another key set, it's one time use to me, i don't like it because of that, I'd rather get a HyperX, where they actually care about their customers.
@@shaggyrogers9028, I currently have a G513, have had it for 2 weeks now and can confirm that the design of the switches and keycaps is horrible. don’t get me wrong, I love the keyboard, it feelz awesome, but already there are like 5 keycaps that are half broken. the design is just awful.
@@joinz8544 yeah i never said it felt bad, but if you want to clean it and take it apart, it breaks, and then Logitech says it's not supposed to be taken apart, which is BS

I had the NORMAL K55 for about 1,5 + 1,5 years (the membranes broke bruh) but for the price, it was pretty good imo. The RGB looked nice and it was rather quiet. The new Pro seems kinda shit compared to the old one which is strange.
i have the k55 but i got a mechanical keyboard with brown switches and i lubed them and got custom keycaps for it and the k55 spacebar broke in half and i lost the stabalizers because it fell out and at the time that happened i sucked with keyboard modding
I vouch for her to try out the 60% Mechanical Keyboards of Corsair, Razer, and Redragon and then compare them against a really good 60% in her collection. Also I like keyboards in general but Corsair without any modding isn't gonna be pleasant for anyone. Though Corsair does have nice weight to it. I'm sure a complete mod / customizing of Corsair entire Keyboard would blow people's minds if done right.
To be fair with the entirety of Corsair, every other product of Corsair is actually good and not horrendous. Corsair with the majority of Keyboards are actually good.. it's just comparing now where everyone prefers to build a custom keyboard instead, we know to lube the switches, stabilizers, keycaps, foam the board, better switches, after all that, we realize Corsair Keyboards are laughably bad.. I can honestly say even Ghost of all products with their PewDiePie Keyboard improved it and LUBED the stabilizers that even shocked Glarses 🤣 and even though that is $250.. it's better than Corsair..
They're all big, because most people use full-size keyboards and I reckon that most visitors of Walmart are not your average enthusiast that likes TKL or smaller boards. The Romer-G are mechanical. They come from the time when Logitech was looking for an alternative for Cherry's switches. They were made together with Omron. There's a LinusTechTips video of the Omron factory tour for anyone interested.
As someone with a Razer Cynosa lite, I can confirm that using it for a while to break the keys in and giving a little lube to the stabs and spacebar will make it more bearable.
GREAT CONTENT, AS ALWAYS, BETTY!!! I hope you have a safe and happy holiday! I'm just here for the pure entertainment value of watching Betty review budget keyboards and to boost the RUclips algorithm. 😊😊😊I'm loving he EP84 that I bought after binge watching a TON of your videos to help make a decision.
I had the Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 for a while before I got deeper into the keyboard scene. It has the Razer Greens and they basically feel about like a MX Brown except sound like a Blue. It's also very wide, it's full size plus an extra macro layer on the far left so not recommended for anyone who doesn't have a massive desk. I had to use it diagonally on my desk to clear enough room for my mouse when gaming. It is durable though, never had a switch stop working in the 5 years of daily use and occasional gamer rages it survived. I can say it's a good board to pick up from Walmart for a teenager getting their first gaming PC and wants to feel cool 😎
The romer-g claiming to be 40% more durable is definitely a lie. My "UIOP{}" keys has double clicking issues within half a year and the led on other keys start to malfunction. I've tried a dozen budget tactile switches and they are the scratchiest. Wasted $100 on the G Pro and that made me look into custom keyboards instead.
I bought a Logitech G710 from walmart 5 ish years ago and while it was overpriced, it did me well enough until I could upgrade to a better one. I did mod the hell out of it as best as I could without a soldering iron xD No hot swap sockets there thats for sure. Lots of foam- didn't help a whole extra lot tho.
I used to own g413 and it was my first gaming keyboard, the only good thing was it was hotswappable, it had multiple keys break within a month of ownership, the leds were meh, and I hated the size due to me being unable to use mouse on lil tiny desk.
I have had the razor cynosa chroma (which is identicle to the cynosa lite) for almost 4 years now and it’s actually pretty good, although when you first get it it is immediately apparent that it’s not mechanical, but for what it is, it works very well.
A genuine question, because I'm relatively new to mechanical keyboards. Why do the less expensive ones very often come with blue switches? Is that because it costs less to manufacture them or because most people like loud clicks best? Always love your content. Wish you happy holidays, Betty!
This is speculation, but my reasoning is that the clickiness of blue switches masks and muddles the sound profile of the board. Any ticking, rattling, scratching, and other undesirable features are masked by the clicking of the switches. You can tell immediately if a board feels cheap if the switches are linear.
