Yeah, shame that Plant did lost his voice. If he was in his prime he would kill that song. Also, I heard that Plant got a flu just before the concert, which doesn't help the situation. And you can hear it actually, that he struggles with the notes that are usually well within his range.

I'd like to see a do over. This could have been a lot better, but it's a very hard song to sing and they had a short time to practice. I love, love, love that Mr Plant picked this. It really honored Freddie
It is a shame that Robert Plant made so many mistakes. It wasn't the only performance that night that didn't go to plan but unlike the other ones to overdub this one for the official release would have been near impossible. What a shame as Brian and Roger were excellent on this and this sort of performance was a throw back to the early 70's Queen when they were prog rock prior to the more radio friendly numbers of the late 70's and 80's when their style became more pop than rock. The Innuendo album as a whole despite the tragic circumstances in which it was made was really a rebirth of the original Queen sound with a more matcho Freddie fronting the band. Shame Freddie was no longer around for this as him fronting the band and still playing live in the 90's surely would have restablished Queen as the biggest band in the world. The rise of Oasis and other indie bands would have still happened but they would have been more of a side attraction had Freddie lived and Queen were still relevent.
I don't think so.. Queen were great but time moves on and the Gallagher brothers were amazing over their first few albums.. U2 were bigger than ever as the 80s rolled on. Queen didn't have a monopoly on music. Nobody does.

Alexander Ashford i love plant with and without zeppelin , but plant can never sing like mercury . Freddie sings pure , then rough , then hè Gets his high notes ( hear queens black album )Freddie mercury was one off a kind . Ronnie James dio is the nearest thing To Freddie in rock and hardrock . And off course George micheal . Hè stole the show with somebody To love . Also Paul rodgers ( i love Paul rodgers ) but with queen ??? . Please pardon my bad writing in english . But i had To response To youre comment . Greetings from belgium
not better not worse different
Dont worry people who have said that are deaf.
Plant can't sing worth shit..he sucks,
Recognise the speciality of this performance is you can see the Queen guys performing together with their icon, a living legend Led Zep frontman. Who cares if he makes mistakes and does the song his way?
My fav Queen song. So Sad Freddie never got to perform this live. This song would have been absolutely EPIC
Haha the smirk on May's face. Like he wanted to say "well that was one hell of a ride wasn't it?"
This performance sends shivers down my spine.the interlude was gold
They eliminated a whole section! You can be anything you want to be etc!
I remember this being much worse as a kid. Considering it's out of Plant's range and the original is a masterpiece... it really wasn't that bad an attempt. Also awesome to see Brian, Roger and John play this live for the first and last time.
Yeah, shame that Plant did lost his voice. If he was in his prime he would kill that song. Also, I heard that Plant got a flu just before the concert, which doesn't help the situation. And you can hear it actually, that he struggles with the notes that are usually well within his range.
I saw Queen a few months ago with Lambert and I was disappointed to not see them do this song live. Lambert could have easily taken it (Plant's rendition of it is horrible IMO).
Plants voice is higher than Mercury's
I THINK THIS IS AN AWSOME PERFORMANCE. ROBERT PLANT & QUEEN ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5:50 From now on, it's the best part of Robert.
Queen did the exact same thing to Led Zeppelin check out their 1986 live performance of Immigrant Song that was such a terrible performance and was disrespectful to the band
This.
I don't have any words.
Innuendo- khasmir all together
Kashmir moving to innuendo stunning
I don't think this performance is anywhere near as bad as people say it is, but Plant didn't sound very good which is a shame considering that in his prime he would've completely made this song his own. It was influenced by Kashmir after all
Wish they would’ve played this live again
Actually brian was....woooow
I just think his voice wasn’t meant for the original key but other than that I liked how he tried to make it his own but still putting on a good performance not to mention the incredible instrumentals.
I’ve seen this live on tv.
I still remember I was very angry...
Terrible.
I remember it too. I was like "awkward!" 'A' for effort.
the purpose of the concert was tribute to freddie so.. i will say though, his performance was below par.
Stfup! Its the spirit of it!!!!
Me too
I love this version of the song
#braniliveI 4
Robert Plant 💙 loved Freddie 💜
He was nervous about singing this piece, but he did it big time, in his own way.
It's the emotion and spirit of this song and every performance that made this concert great.
And anyway they both are two legends 🎶💜💙🎶💙 💜
Feel so good to see their drum, bass and guitar. Do you know what I mean. RIP.
When you spend more time styling your hair and your outfit than practicing the song you're supposed to sing 😳
I swear Robert sounds better live in his other performances, guys. Be nice lol
RIP Freddie😢 it's glad seeing my favorite idols unite! Led Zeppelin and Queen are the most legendary bands ever❤
In his prime Robert was the best singer in the history of rock, even Freddie recognize that.
And Robert said Freddie was the best.
@@ImperialMJG he never said that.
Robert plant also said “People are changing the keys to these songs because they just can’t do a Freddie”
Please someone can put the lyrics of robret plant please?
brother this hits really hard I'm glad to have discovered its existence
I have no words to describe the emotions that this wonderful performance gave me and continues to give me after thirty years. Plant is Plant, another voice, another style, but his love and visible emotion make this performance unforgettable.
Thanks Robert, Brian, Roger and John for this great tribute to Freddie. And thank you Freddie for being with us in this world.
I love you all 🎶💙
I agree with you! I saw this on an original airing when I was 14 in 1992 and lost my mind! 😂 I could NOT believe what I was seeing! I was standing in shock and awe play pretending to be them, lol 🤣 This was a highlight of my life! 🤣 And it HAS been a very good one, eh! 😜
@@alexkx8599 I understand you very well, who knows what a thrill! And you were only 14, odd for such a young kid!
Well anyways, still glad to see them performed together. Both bands are my favourite.
Apparently one of the greatest vocalists on history. Lol
Since this Monday, mi life is about around Innuendo, thanks Bri, Roger, John, Wembley, U.K., Freddie, love.
Now there is an experiencer👽
brain: learn the song robert
The singer went bad and they didn’t play the acoustic guitar solo part :/
I didn't realize the first line of this song was " and the desert has sand"
Well done robert
He actually sings the first line of the verse if you listen closely and watch his mouth.
@@tcmusic6429 yes. His mic was off I believe
he sings it.....someone fucked up and his mic was off
While the sun hangs in the sky and the desert has sand
While the waves crash in the sea and meet the land
While there's the wind and the stars and the rainbow
Til the mountains crumble into the plains
Yes, well keep on trying
Tread that fine line
Yes, we'll keep on trying
Just passing our time
😢
How strange it must be for Freddy's friends to hear his song in another voice, but good piece, I like it
Mr. Robert "Fuck" Anthony Plant 🎤⚡🔥😎
U can see how Brian was enjoying the guitar solo
My favorite 2 rock bands. Led zepplin and queen.
I'd like to see a do over. This could have been a lot better, but it's a very hard song to sing and they had a short time to practice. I love, love, love that Mr Plant picked this. It really honored Freddie
No kidding!
Man imagine a world we’re people actually listened to Prog again..... it’s perfect
I don't think so.. Queen were great but time moves on and the Gallagher brothers were amazing over their first few albums.. U2 were bigger than ever as the 80s rolled on. Queen didn't have a monopoly on music. Nobody does.
