It seems to be graduated in the size of the x-cut, so I would imagine depending upon how you move it, it could cause more minute shredding of the material. Probably an extremely useful bit for acrylic debulking, I would imagine. I only do my own nails (combo of soft and hard gel overlay on natural nails) and don't keep anything so coarse, but I'd still be interested to hear your observations and tips about using this interesting bit. 💕
yes! as far as i know, its between blue and green - it's my personal favorite. but yes i agree i also noticed there was more dust than using other bits
My problem with that bit is that the grit closest to the tip is too fine so if I'm filing off product, that part is barely doing anything. I have it in coarse and I have not used it in a while
@@theedeevynegoddess I think there are better bits that function much better and are multifunction. This bit is not one that I would say you should spend your money on. You really don't need it at all
yeah it has smaller flutes up top and larger flutes on the bottom (and probably even a medium size flute in the middle)- so it’s like 3 different coarsenesses in one bit
I like the carbide bits when removing gel polish or shaping acrylic nails. I've seen others use this specific bit to create sharp smile lines. I want to eventually get this bit for myself🙂
I have a bigger bit that has the purple band when I first got it it chewed through acrylic easily but quickly got dull. I only use it on me and my daughter
No need to work the cuticle so much eeek 😱 I think you would get better results without taking so much skin around the cuticle but , that is just my opinion. I still think you do a good job overall ☺️
I have several bits like this, I love the ones with yellow through green abrasive but anything higher than that I don’t like, it seems to gouge at the nail more than anything
Hey I need some nail besties! 😇I'm a noob with my 1st nail drill. Is I'm a noob with my 1st nail drill. Is there any bits that _ONLY_ remove skin ? I thought so, but which ?? My MelodySusie didn't come with the round ball but which I thought was to remove skin only. Like I need to know which bit(s) if any, won't remove or damage your nails/nail plate at all ? I participated in one of Ana's webinars about gel manicure not long & have finally begun my journey into the world of gel polish and gel nails; hard/builder gels, extensions (soft gel I think?) And an e file/nail drill! But I definitely lack knowledge (and skill lol) I don't even go to salons to get my nails done 😆there any bits that _ONLY_ remove skin ? I thought so, but which ?? If you cant have fake nails, try this product on your nails. Its helps.Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Strengthener Nail Treatment Extra-strength strengthening treatment that hardens nails & smoothes ridges. Formulated with Nylon, Retinol, Soy and Omega 3 to fortify nails for a hard, healthy-looking, shiny nails that last Helps protect against chipping, splitting, peeling and strengthens soft, fragile nails
Maybe using gel polish. It doesn’t chip off and can try to keep them stronger. Also what about builder gel? 🤫🤫🤫🤫 in natural colors. Not too long or the apex will need lots more thickness and will look artificial. But in case you don’t know, look up natural acrylic nails or gel nails. Just don’t do them too long so it doesn’t make people do a double take.
My work had that rule too. The nails I had for my wedding, (as I couldn't get them off / had no idea how back then after). Looked totally natural! Never heard a complaint!!
This morning while I was working I pulled the vinyl and I accidentally used my nail too much and the hell know what happened my nail separated from it's flesh and RUclips seems mocking me cause it's showing me a lot of nail shorts today 😭😭😭😭😭
Oh the pain you probably felt!!!🥺🥺😳😳🥺 I actually had 4 of 5 nails on one hand peel off the nail bed. 3 were from injury of severe hit. Luckily they didn't peel off like yours 🤞just started me on a case of Onycholysis. 😔
@@nailsofinterest it hurts like hell and seriously I don't f***ing know how it happened because first of all ''its a Vinyl!'' How the f*ck did that thing make my nail go?
I did my nails just once, now I have trauma cause Ive never cut my cuticles and the girl did, all my finger were bleeding. She complained to me saying that my fingers it's just too small and it's normal to bleed. Anyways I don't want to do my nails ever again.....scary....

Fun fact: that drill bit is used in dentistry to adjust acrylic dentures 🤠 (yes dentures are the same as your nails) 😂
Which one? I wanna fix my denture with my nail file lol
That's bc ALL nail enhancements were invented by a dentist. Dental product is stronger though.
The wrong stuff is for teeth. Not supposed to be used on nails. Too strong of a product
Fun fact #2: Acrylic nails were invented by a dentist in 1954😃💅

Lol yeah. We use that football diamond bur to remove bonding material from teeth. The other one is an acrylic bur used in the lab to adjust dentures

The tip around the cuticle area only but no need for it then.

She didn’t. The bits changed when she did the cuticles to the red bands. She took off the top coat and a small layer of builder
Ouuuu I love my cuticles to look this clean especially if they know what they’re doing and don’t hurt me
That is a fake practise finger.
What bit brand is it please? Many of us asked where you purchased it also.
Looks beautiful
